man I'm soo glad I took cpr and first aid classes. Twice too, I'm sertifide from infants up to elderly people. and I won't be panicking around what to do, because I'll be ready if I ever come upon someone who needs cpr. :)

I saw this segment on R-911 the amplifier was ungrounded w/only a two wire

cord. A lot of older vacuum tube gear 2 wire non polarized cord sets, a hot

and netural wire. If the plug is reversed the metal chassie becomes "hot"

Whereby polarized plugs the wider blade is the netrual side, the narrow is hot.

With a 3-wire line cord, any current leaking goes though the path of least

resistance (ground wire) properly grounded outlet, would blow a fuse or

trip the circuit breaker.

My guess would be this was caused by an ungrounded tube amp that had its' B+ supply touching the chassis (300+ volts) Tube equipment should NEVER, EVER be used without a ground!

We can always guess or have theories as to what went wrong

Perhaps Worth did what the guy with the hedge-trimmers did.

That is he plugged a 2 pronged guitar in to a 3 pronged outlet making the guitar not grounded properly. Just like the hedge clippers were not grounded properly.

Close! Amanda Lawrence was the little girl who had to call 911 because her mom was going into labor. That was segment 5 of #101....she has a Youtube account I think.

It's about a domestic stabbing; the dad stabs the mom and she goes to a neighbor's house for help. That's one of the few segments I have never seen, so I don't know anything more than that.

#319 is with psycho Scott who stabs the lady who runs to her neighbors screams wildly. The cop shoot him dead.

Happy7117, you're thinking of episode 421. Episode 421 is the one with Scott. Episode 319 is the one where a woman breaks into an empty house to call 911 after being stabbed by her boyfriend. That one took place in a farming community.

The Moviegoers is the name of the band..

There is a whole page on this band. They have 2 CD's. No mention is made of the guitar electrocution.

From watching, I am guessing they were rehearsing in the garage.

Like the circus segment with Tim the clown when he collapsed when he got off stage, this guitar electrocution would have been worse if it happened during a concert.
