  • It sounds like Cantonese and Mandarin mixed together.

  • @aznpanda100 some are mixed

    depend where they from

  • It sounds a lot like Vietnamese tone wise. :] I'm Vietnamese and at first, I thought I was listening to Vietnamese until I realized I didn't understand the other half of the sentence..and I realized it was a Chinese dialect. :D It sounds nice though ^^

  • Antara lagu makanan sesudah Hai Nasi Goreng!

  • OMF CHINESE! Its so funny! And the song is very cool! Yes, I love it xD

  • this song makes me laugh xD

  • im chinese and i can kinda understand it. its lik a mix of cantonese and mandarin (to me).

  • this sounds so similar to the hakka my dad speaks. i'm half cantonese and half hakka, but i don't speak a word of hakka, which is a shame. hehe, i still remember my dad telling me all the time when i was little, that i'm not chinese, but hakka.

  • haha actually.. if your mum and dads side is hakka also.. then your hakka- ese XD is hakkaese even a word :L

    haha

    well im hakka fully anyways :)

    but i dont get hakka at all XD

  • @LupRei same here i'm half half too, but my dad didn't learn to speak hakka he only understands so i never got taught it :(

  • it is a discouragement to say no need to be a"local"which means encourage other always and forever to be a outsider,do you like to be a guest?

  • Because now nobody know and familiar with the new name'Punti' and still cling to the inaccurate tag"hakka" which means guest people,nevertheless l think further it is paramount important to have a new name for the community.l can call Hokkien speaker a Punti but they have their own origin,that is Hokkien,we never identify Hokkien speaker as KHEK,but for the previously called hakka or khek ,other refer the community as guest people.

  • the first hakka song ive eever heard

  • lol. song about noodles

  • Who will the next Malaysian Punti(previous hakka)song recording singers??

  • surprise,to discover a few indonesian PUNTI(previous hakka)talented singers with a unique performance and sweet voice.

  • The name of this language is hakka,guest people,is adopted and accepted for thousands year before until now.l prefer to rename this language as Punti,which means local.Which one is more accurate,guest people hakka or local born Punti???

  • In my opinion the word Hakka is more appropriate. Why? Because I'm Hakka from Vietnam and I understand this song which is I think from Malaysia. So no need to be "local" to understand this song, just being Hakka and listen carefully. Another thing, you can also call local Hokkien as punti, because they are local as well. So how many punti we have around the world speaking different languages? Let's call Hakka as Hakka and Hokkien as Hokkien. In the other hand "punti Hakka" is very much accurate.

  • why don't you ask yourself where the hell this 'hakka'thing is coming from????

  • I don't know where the hell this punti thing is coming from but you should probably know this language. This language was brought down by the Hans who settles in Southern China (Guangzhou.) Over time, it probably moved over to Malaysia since we are close. But the name remains, the real name of this language is Hakka >:O

  • Punti pronounciate the Chinese as FAH NYIN,THONG NYIN ,and Punti community can adopt this more accurate collective tag instead of Hakka or Khek

  • 自家启用本地人/本家人/当家人/华人。弃用客家人,客人之贬称 。骄傲最令人反感讨厌,要学学不傲慢和自大,只要平等

  • 还我本色,过完遗生

  • 崖还没食过本家面

  • 炒面,

    燥面=干面

    湿面=水面Sip mian=soup noodle

  • Bendi Ge:Chao mian

    Punti song:Chau mian,not Cau mian,Chau(cahau) mian means stir-fried noodle炒面, Cau mian means dried noodle燥面

  • Mandarin songs,Cantonese songs,Tai Yu songs,Hockkien songs are abundant and available readily,but Punti songs are still not fully developed and remain at amateur level.Nobody to promote Punti song?l adopt a more accurate term"PUNTI" for old-fashioned 'hakka'term for the community

  • Nice! Very rare to listen to Hakka songs. Many many Cantonese songs (Wong Kit, Lo Man, Yung Joey , Stephanie Cheng, Twins, Nicholas Tse) and Mandarin songs (Teresa Teng, Stephy Tang, MC Hotdog). It seems Chinese music is mainly either Cantonese or Mandarin.

  • CHINESE PRIDE 4 LIFE.....

  • Bank got money but not to create a music band.

    To be rich you must chow Mien (fry mee)!

    LOL! XD

  • hahahah xD wooow first time I heard a song in hakka.. I rarely hear chineses speak or sing in hakka, except for my family and relatives of course :) But then, I live in Sweden...

  • @cassandrawu94 haha, du är också hakka? i sverige också, blev lite förvånad ba =O inte särskilt vanligt egentligen =P

  • @FrokenVan Whaat? är du hakka :O? Coolt :D Blev också förvånad där :D

  • @cassandrawu94 i'm Hakka & live in NEW YORK. too bad CHINESE movies were never made in hakka. we're very underrrated. cantonese, mandarin, fukingnese people etc. laugh @ us. i really hate that.

  • Haha... He said if you eat his noodles you will get good reputation! haha...

  • i can speak perfect hakka, haha!

  • kai thiu kai hong,ngai loi chau mian(ja mai cau mian),losit ng chot jiu ng phian(han mang/ng kiu,chi-chian bui-sen,pau nyi sit ho ng o lau tu)

  • hehehe hakka sings of everything chow mein :)

  • hakka people have pure and divine heart and spirit.

  • this song very good

  • someone know an english website where i can learn the hakka language? i find it pretty interesting and want to learn it.

  • very hard, you better learn mandarin, as hakka is learnt at an early age and usually close to family members

  • My mother tongue is Cantonese. And I am studying Mandarin for a half year already (know the very basics). Now I am interested in Hakka. Is it really that hard to learn even though I know Cantonese and a bit Mandarin?

  • hmm I doubt so... nobody wanna teach it

  • The best bet is to find a job of taking care of a Hakka elderly person. You can make some $ while learning the language. :)

  • wow that's a great idea. but too bad, I live in Germany, here are only a few Chinese people, not to mention Hakka people. I guess I only can learn some words from these Hakka KTVs *sigh*

  • hey at least you can read the chinese subtitles and learn the pronunciation in hakka, that way you dont have to travel too much...

  • I can speak Hakka, but even then, there are variations to the dialect which makes it even harder to "teach" or "learn" as you may come across the 2-3 variations (at least as many I've encountered).

    So as a form of courteousy when greeting friends or relatives, you can ask:

    "Ngi sit bao mang?"

    Ngi = You (Ni)

    Sit = Eaten (Chi)

    Bao = Full (Bao)

    Mang = No english word for this, it's a chinese exclaimation (Ma)

    If you know chinese you'll understand it's translated from "Ni chi bao ma?"

  • i knoww! thats why i dont understand everything. i think he speaks in the original dialect or something

  • Greetings my hakka brother, i am a hakka from England

  • haha i am hungry from some home style chow mien!!! Hakka people!

  • cute song~

  • English spoken people around the world would think like you that only English should be taught all over the world, Chinese, French, German etc should be extinct.

    Sadly, this will not happen as yet.

    So, just grow up a bit.

    I have no time to reply here, so keep to yourself your very off centre opinion.

  • Encourage Mandarin speaking is good as it standardise the common Chinese language as Emperor Ching did it 2000 year ago.

    Linyangyang, Cantonese is a dialect too. So, be mature with your comments here because it shows your narrow angle of view to understand human psychology that every tribe is proud to cultivate his own dialect.

    Attacking other dialect speaking Chinese is very childish.

  • It is again your very self centre opinion that Cantonese is a language. Although cantonese has an extra vowel sound making it smoother and nicer to listen, it is not officially a recognised Chinese language. All in all, any languages other than Mandarin is dialect.

  • Limyangyang, Cantonese was know to be the same language that is derive from Vietnamese. Cantonese may be even is the chinese language.

  • Cantonese or Yue (粵語) is a major Chinese dialect group or language, a member of the Sino-Tibetan family of languages. Inside Hong Kong, it is known as 廣東話 (mandarin: Guǎngdōng Huà,Cantonese transcription: gwong2 dung1 waa6). Outside of Hong Kong it is referred to as 粵語 (mandarin: Yuè Yǔ). The exact number of Cantonese speakers is unknown due to a lack of statistics and census data

  • ekoonww,ur comment make sense

  • Encourage Mandarin speaking is good as it standardise the common Chinese language as Emperor Ching did it 2000 year ago.

  • Hakka, like most dialects including Cantonese will eventually spoken by less people. This is unavoidable but will not happen in this century or next century, but may be in a millennium year. However, all dialects will be preserved in digital format for the future reference. So, dialects will not extinct.

    Encourage Mandarin speaking is good as it standardise the common Chinese language as Emperor Ching did it 2000 year ago.

  • Hakka, same as Cantonese and other dialects may not be spoken commonly after next CENTENRY, but will not be forgotten. All dialects will be stored in computer digital formats for future references. Again, you are so prejudice against your own Chinese races. May God help you to understand that by writing English here, you are encourage English to be the dorminating language EVENTUALLY ERADICATE Chinese language.

  • limyangyang,there are provinces of China in which major occupied by kejia chinese not familiar by many.There are high-spirited and well-motivated,the establishment of PR of China,kejia in those settlements contributing greatly and fully their souls and bodies,many sacrife for the establishment.They are Sun yat sen and kejia from Guangdong province,heroes and heroins in southern Jiangxi province mostly

  • Hakka is Cantonese pronounciation for kejia,主家zhujia is the right word,there is nothing in this world will forever,all things are changing continually,limyangyang must have the right thought,guest(kheh)or nomad people(游牧民族),would you like be one of them?zhujia/kejia have the power to choose whether they keep unaware or to correct other wrong thought,right?limyangyang

  • limyangyang hate to burst your bubble but Latin is still taught in English Schools. Likewise you will die before Hakka becomes extinct (personally the sooner the better cos he's such a bore).

    By the way I'm curious to know how you got your six toes and cleft palate from. Is your father really your brother?

  • Oh... My mother tongue is Hakka. And I speak Hakka fluently..

  • YOu sick again Lim Yang yang, Why are the hakka calls hakka in the first place? Because they are the Guest people. off course Hakka will be forever be guest. But again Hakka have servived for 1000 years or more and we still kept the language. In fact we are the oldest Chinese dielect and base on the history probably the most pure han!!

    HEHEHEHe..

  • The Hakka cannot be pure Han people because like many Southern Chinese people like the Cantonese and Hokkiens etc, they are basically a mixture of Han Chinese from the north and aboriginal Yue people who were the original inhabitants of Southern China. The Hakka also has admixture with the She people, who speak a Hmong-Mien language.
