i won't try to list the books I trip over when waking up in the morning! Let's see E.T. Bell's Development of Mathematics/Men of Mathematics, Morris Kline's works(his three volumes on the general history of mathematics, Mathematics and Western Civililization), Jacob Bronowski, Weinberg's "First Three Minutes", Alan Guth's "Inflationary Universe", "The Second Creatoin" and the "The Eigth Day of Creation, Goulds "Wonderful Life", Drexler's "Engines of Creation", jesus, I'm already out of space!
I bought your book (James the Brother of Jesus) in the mid 90s (I think 95) and I am only a layman interested in the history of Christianity. It takes pride of place on my library, which has been growing ever since at the rate of about 2 new books a month.
