Q: Who allowed a stricken Liberian flagged container ship to sail into New Zealand?
A: according to the maritime union deregulation in 1990 by a former National government has created a situation where substandard flag of convenience shipping has been encouraged and enabled.
Can someone please help me understand why we are borrowing 300 million a week to repay debt? Doesn't that newly borrowed money have more interest charged on it? We can't even pay the interest on the original loan, how are we ever going to repay that new interest? Where is that money to pay from the interest coming from?
How much of those highly valued assets still have debt owed on them? Why are we borrowing money from over sea's banks in the first place? Why are we allowing oversea investment? If you want the money to stay here then surely we should have only New Zealand owned and operated companies (including franchise's) in New Zealand? Are we working for New Zealand or for a Bank?

I am a youth worker and if you people opened your eyes to the bigger picture you will notice that it is the "system" that is failing these kids and their families, not the other way round. Systems in this country are set up for western society and if one doesn't 'fit in' or conform to the way in which that culture run things you are seen as a deviant. This is a really sad case of affairs. Open your eyes people - doo your research!
