  • Eeyore rocks!!

  • awesome video. l love the mule is wearing a bosal. Looks like you live in a cold environment!

  • Jess this video looks very good. Well done creating an excellent mule partner! If you were nearby you can be one of mine would be paying you a visit!

  • good job on the training.

  • I heard one mule trainer once say that 'mule trainers can train horses, but not all horse trainers can train mules'. His thought was that a mule takes a bit more time and consistency than horses. I work with mustangs...so I could totally relate to what he was saying. You probably come by it naturally, so to you it's something that's no different than riding a horse, but to most horse folks, mules (and mustangs) are a force to be reckoned with :) Nice job on Eeyor. Loved the cutting!

  • Cool video.

  • Thank you for your answear...I really like your system of trained. I would like to ask you some more information abuot the trained of the mule. What different do you find between mules and horses during the trained?it's true that it's more diffiucult trained a mule than a horse?

    thank you a lot .

    bye bye Giovanni

  • There Isn't that much of a difference between training a horse then a mule. I think they may take a little longer then a horse but the main thing is consistency is the key. When I worked with Martin Black he said "If you want to know if there is a loop hole in your training program train a mule and he will show you."

  • A mule won't fill in the blanks like a good horse will. Once a mule finds a loophole it can be very tough to fix.

Keep in mind, like horses there are good ones and bad ones. I think it is a good idea to Start off with getting a good mule, not just any old mare crossed with any old donkey. I have trained quite a few mules and I have had some good ones and some bad ones. just like horses genetics play a pretty big role.

    I hope this helps

    Jess

  • i really love your mule! I' m an italian guy and I would know how much does it cost a mule ranch trained like this...thanks in advence and sorry for my englesh

  • Thank you! He is a really nice mule however he's not really mine. I just trained him. I charge $500 A month to train horses and mules. This mule had about three months training on him.

    I hope this helps
