There are rocks on the Silver Comet Trail, since it is in the foothills of Georgia. The guys who are arrested on the Silver Comet Trail every year who are stoned aren't cool. Ahhhh.
thanks for clarifying another traumatizing memory (some others were seeing the 2001 trailer and a couple of nightstalker episodes when i should have been in bed). dammit i am messed up just from television.
wow. this movie has haunted me for years; years wondering what that movie was with the round headed boy in the land of cone heads that made me feel so freaked out as a 4 year old in 1973, and here it is. now i can see why i freaked out. a sad boy, ostracized by his town and his family looked at him like a weirdo, then he goes out into this scary looking world. wow. i wish i had never seen it at 4 years old. it still makes me feel sad and lonely watching it now.
Oh no! My four-year-old (in 1990) memory is just the opposite! I loved this movie, especially the music, but hadn't seen it since I was like 8 or so. VERY occasionally, I would think of it, and finally I thought I'd look it up. I totally cried watching it; it's just the epitome of what I remember from being young and innocent. The music, and Ringo, are what I remembered most, and am really glad to have this back in my life.
I do, however, feel exactly the way you described about E.T. *shudder*
Rock Man is my favorite, thanks so much for posting this. However, I'm very, very disappointed that we can't hear it. Can you repost it so the sound is better? In the first part the audio was very good.

Rock Man was definitely stoned.... "don't go goofin with the bees." I still have that memory, 40 years later.

I have this original record with all the art work that it came with. I grew up with this every day.

Why is the sound all echo-y like? It makes the dialogue kind of hard to understand.

Man I remember watching this so many times when I was a kid
I still know these songs by heart now that im in my 20s.
My parents recorded it on VHS with Dustin Hoffman as the narrator instead of Ringo Starr
Kinda disappointed I can't find that one anywhere.
