  • wow, what a nice song. small boy's voice is so cute. Mashallah!

  • my LA class had to do a movie project with this song

  • kind of creepy

  • This is actually a cover. The original (Harry Chapin) depicts the story of a little boy who likes to paint flowers in every color of the rainbow is actually a bitter criticism of the American educational system, masked ironically in the cheerful, happy, innocent music.

On a lighter note, every song ends but is that no reason to enjoy the music?

  • It's By Dawud Wharnsby, Muhammed Bhikha, Rashid Bhikha

  • i htink all new teachers should have to listen to this song

  • This is not Zain Bhika, it's Harry Chapin.

  • its harrys song, zain bhika is a rip off artist.

  • No, it isn't Zain Bhika. This is Harry Chapin singing it. Someone posted this and said it was Zain Bhika. Before you make inflammatory comments about someone's character you should check. Are you even old enough to know anything about Harry Chapin? It sure is obvious that you couldn't tell it was his voice.

  • u wrong so before u start commenting this is zain bhika singing this chapin sound way different from this u can eve listen ur self

  • noo it is dawud wharnsby

  • Obviously you don't know his voice. He also wouldn't have done a version like this.

  • sorry... i didnt mean to offend (i was mad, its really hard to find the original version in good quality...) but i seriously dont think this is harry chapin, ive been listening to him since i was 5 lol

but harrys voice is deeper and he never did this song in a studio that i know of so it couldnt be this great quality sound.

  • @JamakiKatsumoto Zain Bhika is singin this, Harry chapin the orginal singer of this song but i Like Zain bhika's Version much more.

  • its nice and all..... but is this islamic? and is rashid bikha in this?

  • I like it ! i think it s not about racism, it s about children s creativity , and their right to express themselves!!

Harry Chapin was a great artist, indeed.

  • no he wasnt is he even a muslim (harry chpin)

  • What???

  • bdvzim I am agree with you. This voice is Dawud Wharnsby

  • this is a fantastic version of this great song. I am sure Harry would of LOVED it! You should do a version of Father & Son by Cat Stevens. You are good!

  • ma likle bro luvs dis!!!!!!!!

  • ma lil sis goes krazeeeeeeee when she hears this, im not evn joking! lol.

  • This Song is a perfect example of what happens to childfen today, we are influenced by the adults around us. and that is sometimes not the best thing. In school certain things are pounded into our head and if we dare to be different or debate about it (like why one history book says one thing, and the other says another about the same topic), we are immediately sent out of class for being disruptive, when in fact we are confused. I love this song and will play it over and over again.

    mashallah!

  • very very true.{need i add more ,??] open your eyes. my daughters school wanted us to sign a piecee of paper, allowing them take her fingerprints everytime she borrows a book . she is only 5 years old and by the time she a young lady she would think it is the norm , we have to educate our offspring and not rely on state education,

  • Only one thing missing from this great cover video. Props thanking the still amazing Harry Chapin who wrote both lyrics and music to this still brilliant song!!! Other than that, great video.

  • omg yeh i was thinking this is dawud wharnsby too!!

  • nice again i say i think u should listen to it to refresh your mind and make you laugh

  • simply love the truth in this poem by Harry Chaplin...

as an early childhood educator myself,

i encourage my lil students to free drawing, and use all the colors for everythingggg, everyone....

  • love this nasheed

are lyrics refering to people like the teacher is sayin people are all the same but the lil boy is sayin that there is alot more than just red flowers liek different races religions and ethnic groups?

anywya id like to give every one my sallams and may peace spread from east to west or west to east

    wich ever you prefer

    peace brothers and sisters
