  • What are those large grey discs, and what do they do?

  • @musicmaster8 The large 4.5 inch discs are CD/DVD discs. There are 6 of 3/8 inch neodymium magnets glued on top of the CD's, and 6 more magnets as separators between each CD disc in the disc pack.

  • @MrfixitRick but on the magnetic coupler disk not in the turbine there's 6 silver disks that are about twice the diameter of the magnets.

    what are those?

btw, I'm making that water vortex for a school project.

  • @musicmaster8

Ah, yes, I get the question now!

The white (looks silver) discs on the magnetic coupler are Teflon pads as an experiment. When everything is properly adjusted and running, they aren't so necessary.

    Good luck with your project!

  • i think the reason they eventually stick is because they are thin magnets. there comes a point where the strength of the attraction overcomes the repultion fields.i have a 6x6x1" magnet 602lbs pulling force. if i was to put a 5/8"x5/8" cylinder neo mag on thereit will stick oround the outer edges. if i want to remove it i have to push it to the center to remove it. its like there is no megnetic fiel there

  • Video is good ! For more Tesla tech pls watch video: "Tesla cold electricity" by HorizonDelta.

  • and even upside down... -falls off- oops i take that back..

    very informative

  • Thnks 4 respondin. Get the laser speed gun out. It will B A great xperiment (IF U CHOOSE 2 FOLLOW UP). Producing an idea is productive n' reoproducing an idea is reproductive. MayB glue blocks as spacer's Btween th CDs, n glue bar magnets round th circumference that repelle from a magnetic coupler that surrounnds it. coupler may also be powered by a shaft thru th centre wit bearings that produce enough power ( capacitr, coil ect) to make an electro magnetic coupler. Possibillities are endlesss!

  • The possibilities are endless is right. There are lots of interesting combinations that can be done with spinning magnets. I encourage others to experiment with magnets. Rotating magnetic fields are the way of the future.

  • if the magnets in the magnetic coupler were angled they would be more affective. but i think, that if the magnets on the coupler and on the disks were on the sides not on the top, the inertia with the repelling effect of angled magnets on the out side would be more powerful and efficient.

  • Possibly. Hard to glue on the magnets, though. Bar magnets or blocks might work. It would be a good experiment.

  • my question is..how the cd will rotate it self continously??

  • Using compressed air or water pressure in the turbine provides the force. Water pressure is safer!

  • HA HA HA....I'm sorry dude......but I laughed so hard the first time you said "and It will stay....even if I turn it .............UPSIDE DOWN!!!! *PLOP*" LOL!!! I'm glad you got it to stay the second time though.....if the video would have ended just there.....wow.....actually that would have made a good one for FAIL BLOG

  • very cool

  • idiocille

  • A really cool idea. Interesting how certain magnetic arrays have this sticky null spot. Pretty cool that you have taken advantage of it as a magnetic clutch. Nice work.

  • People ...Please forgive me. I have said some foolish comment for this video.Because before I don't Know MrfixitRick Is a nice person with brilliant mind ....So I must say sorry again...an again

MrfixitRick represent the whole middle class Family , and showing us the way that if we believe in our self then we can do anything...

And sorry for the bad English..

  • Thanks for responses...I wrote a long rebuttal, but ditched it!

We're all in this together. There is a new era approaching with wonderful new concepts and technologies.

In the wake of coming extreme changes...we can choose to be awake and positive...or we can be caught in the critical and negative.

You started to direct attention to a negative aspect you were seeing, and I got caught up, too. Then you recognized that, and turned it around. Nice work! Hehe...such is the life game!

  • I don't wanna mean that . Hey MrfixitRick Sorry man ... I just expecting more from you.....

  • a mature stuff.sorry but its true

  • Oh, have you seen repelling magnetic fields used this way before?

"amateur"...of course it is! I'd attempt a saucer instead, except unfortunately, I have no money and no job since becoming allergic to oil.

I've now put my full faith into a few magnets like this to change my life and the lives of others.

My videos inspire some folks; you are obviously above this.

  • ohhh So sorry brother I don't wanna mean that.. I just expecting more from you.... But anyways I must say sorry again if you hurt.. So people please watch this video its a cool video. But people I'm a truth loving person .Some time my words hurt people...

  • Sorry,,, I don't wanna mean that .I just expecting something more from you..... Some thing like mind blowing ... But anyways good stuff ..... And bro sorry for my previous harsh comment ....Keep it up...

  • Thanks Rick. You just answered a big question for me and my Brother. We are trying to build a machine that uses a combustale gas to turn a wheel to turn an altanater. We are not burning the gas & altanaters make sparks inside. I have magnets that pull over 200 bls. they should work very well.

Thanks again Rick !! Your the man !!!!

  • If you use a 3 and 3 magnet configuration, with like poles opposed to each other(repel mode) that would be most stable. It's likely that a 2 and 2 magnet could also work...it would just not center itself as well.

Good luck and send us a video!

  • Thumbs up for the tip :)
