Pachelbel was a composer, but also a teacher (he taught several members of the Bach family), and so I imagine he would be very happy with Coolio's adaptation of his song.

Coolio's chorus line embodies the cyclical nature of the Canon, and his verses are meant as life lessons as well. I'd like to think that Pachelbel would especially love hearing his 4-piece chamber set given the treatment of a full orchestra like this, complete with a master wordsmith performing his magic.
