How lovely to see! I have a friend who had the most gorgeous Aby. And yes she did act quike a dog. She used to come out for walks in the country, bounding along with no boundaries! Just a whistle..

You have a beautiful, fun cat as do we. Our Aby Lucy Light escaped three times and each time we left the door open and brought out the metal pan and spoon and started banging from behind her hiding place and she ran extremely quickly back inside to her safety zone. We still have to keep a close watch on her but it seems her days outside are over.

All cats will play fetch like this if you start them from kittens, my cat is now a year and because I played this game with her from the time she was about 2 months old she still does it.

I have an abyssinian and I love her as much as I love my children. She is the most lovable animal I have ever known. Don't get me wrong out of the blue she will bite and her bite hurts..lol Very cool cat to own and they are extremly loyal. I have a very large dog also but I think the cat would attack first. Love them so much :)

Our Abby Kala does the same thing with a very small toy bunny (: He's a bit too scatterbrained to want to bring it back consistently, but he LOVES catching it and chasing it.

best breed...best climbers...not scared of super heights and able to come back down the tree without being rescued(recommended by firemen)..only 4 toes on the rear feet..awesome to watch jumping around at heights...she goes out and comes back at night

I do not know about that with the "without being rescued" Me and my family have often (4-5 times) neded to get a ladder and bring him down from trees- once had been gone for some days :( and we found him high up in a tree...

He's okay and really adorable, love love love <3 :)

I got my red aby when he was 1 yr old. He learned to fetch in only 2 days. Don't know whether other breeds fetch like the aby's do. That aby looks like he/she could take home a prize at a cat show.

Our Aby will be two in September and we love her to death. She also loves playing fetch - someting we didn't have to teach her, she just started bringing the toy back by herself.

I remember one funny toilet paper instance... my friend left a loose roll of TP in the bathroom... bad idea. She torn it up, littered the house with it... and TP'd the living room, pretty darn cute! lol

What a gorgeous cat. I have a red Aby male who is 3 now. I've taught him 5 tricks. Abys are the geniuses of the cat world. Definitely not for people who just want a lap cat.

@bochkus The best thing to do if your Aby tries to escape is to have a jar of treats by the door. Everytime we get home and our Aby doesn't go out, she gets a treat. She has got to the point where we can let her out for a few minutes and she then gets a treat when she comes back in. It took awhile, but they're very smart and can be trained.
