@AzumangaFan13 I've always thought that Necron and the Cloud of Darkness could be the same being. Both have similar goals, both show up out of nowhere, and Necron's Japanese name is the Darkness of Eternity. Sounds kinda similar.

@1pepituh Well, Necron was Death itself (if the name wasn't already pretty obvious). If you think about it for a while, the whole game is about the consequences of death and all that, so I guess the final battle was pretty symbolical and pretty epic.

On the FFIX OST in Japan, Dark Messenger is the title, however, it could be translated differently when not transliterated - Square's localization teams could have just renamed it.

Me too, they're very similar. But Nobuo seems to be reusing a lot of his material. Nontheless, he is very creative and I love his music. Reusuing parts of old melodies only feed you (or atleast me) a bit of nostalgia which only enjoys the rest more.
