@AntoDamicoShow It must be different over there. In the New York City Subway there is a Conductor(C/R) and a Train Operator(T/O). The C/R is in the middle of the train, he opens and closes doors and makes announcements. The T/O just drives the train and makes sure the train goes onto the right route.
actually they are called drivers (front) and guards (2nd from back)
