First click the task list option, once you are viewing the task tab click open task List. When that list pops up, there is an OPTION part in the upper right corner of the task list, click it. When you click it a screen will pop up that will allow you to turn off the tutorial. Please thumbs this up for people to see.

What I liked about Tutorial island was that it walked you through various stations, explaining each skill. They didn't try to disguise the introduction with some stupid dragon killing adventure - they showed you the skill, and how it works. The Troll Warzone is an improvement from the last two tutorials, but I don't see why they don't just say:"this is the skill, and this is how you use it".

How does it work? As soon as you make a level 3 members does it just spawn you there? Do you have to walk there? Assuming new players could even find their way.I was young when I firtst did Tutorial island in 08 and still found it easy. This might complicate me.

On the whole I like the new tutorial. It's not tutorial island, which I still like loads better, but it's leaps and bounds ahead of the weak ones they had in Lumbridge. I like that you don't necessarily have to do the tasks in order as well. However, there were a number of tutors that weren't included in the tutorial, and I think that is a fail, especially where construction is concerned, because it would be nice to be able to do those tasks here instead of having to demolish a room in my house.

The only tasks you can't complete here are the Dung tasks (there's a convenient new boat to take you to Dung) and the Construction tasks, which you have to do in your house, and if you're maxed on rooms, will require you to delete one and rebuild it. Massive fail for those of us who have all our rooms tricked out with the highest level furniture and don't really want to delete a room, since replacing it will cost millions just for the sake of completing a task.

As for the Slayer assignment, the point of that was just to get the assignment. Be careful not to accidentally "Burthorpe" your task or you'll reset your points counter! If you already have a task, just complete it and get a new assignment for your regular Slayer Master and then come back to continue. You don't have to complete these tasks in this area; you can complete them anywhere. Completing them as part of the new tutorial just provides an opportunity to complete most of them in one go.

The recommendation window that is annoying you is there for the purpose of making a suggestion for gaining xp in a particular skill, similar to the old goal setting system, and you can simply close it. As for continuing with the tutorial, the window for what to do next was at the left the entire time, complete with percent complete bar at the bottom and scroll bar to scroll through the instructions. I did this the day it came out, and it was clear to me quite quickly what was going on.

The new added tasks piss me off since you can only see the introductory tasks if you have the tutorial mode on. The huge list of recommendations from skill tutors is daunting and annoying for those who are completionists i guess. A lot of elements of the new update are buggy as hell, eg the arrows. It's also sometimes really unclear what you have to do, as it's hard to bring up the tasks. I dislike how they've revamped the 3 quests, it's really confusing for those who've already done them.

@Arbfor if you read what the npc's said everything was perfectly clear and all those reccomendations are only because of their high levels, if you were a new player who got members soon after creating the account you'd have very little because of the quest/skill requirements

Lol that's what happens when you don't read through the dialogoues =P, It was really simple. You had to smith a bronze helm and craft leather gloves for that noob so you could move on to the next step. Although I woudn't go past the slayer task step as he will reset your task streak (thank god I didn't get a task from him).
