Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the latest DNA tests show that the Starchild skull (actually of an adult) has human mitochondrial (maternal) DNA (from outside the nucleus) but entirely alien nuclear DNA, thereby proving that this creature was the result of genetic engineering using a human egg cell and alien DNA from alien father and alien mother. @goforitrandy i happen to know a little bit about the starchild skull as it is known. it was actually determined that it's mother was an earth creature, but the dna from it's fathers side matches no known earth creature, therefore the most likely explanation is that this is the result of an extra terrestrial species, probably very similar to us, having mated with one of our early ancestors. so i suppose for all intensive purposes, yes, it is an alien skull.

It sounds to me like hydrocephalus or something of that sort. If you look up images you'll find children that have suffered from hydrocephalus and they easily appear to match this skull. And just like you said "If this were a human and the human head was this deformed it would not live very long... you can't have these kind of abnormalities and live a very long life span."
