Don't think so. I think for the BARB test you need a higher than average score. You also need to be very physically and mentally fit. Basically you have to never give up no matter what happens. Good luck mate, I want to join the army when I'm older but I still have 5+ years ahead. :)

i recently had an interview with sgt maj. of the paras to join them and my eyesight never came into question. i also wear glasses, and have seen some vids of people with glasses in the paras or in training.. i suppose you'll just have to keep a case with it just in case you jump and need somewhere to keep em.. not an issue.

i recently had an interview with sgt maj. of the paras to join them and my eyesight never came into question. i also wear glasses, and have seen some vids of people with glasses in the paras or in training.. i suppose you'll just have to keep a case with it just in case you jump and need somewhere to keep em.. not an issue.
they will allow laser eye surgery, if you convince them it will help you become a better soldier, which it obviously will. there you go, now train hard!! ;)
