  • Comment removed

  • @artsy316 I think C

  • ok is it just my eyes but do they add sleeping Beauty into it?? 2 Different movies People!!!!

  • @chanitoocute the video description says that both princess were moved to a castle, belle and sleeping beauty - she applied the video to both

  • This is a beautiful song, sung by a talented singer. I absolutely LOVE Susan Egan. She's extremely talented and makes a great Belle.

  • i dont understand why there were scenes from sleeping beauty in it aswell???

  • ... is it just me, or does this song sound more like someone trapped in a loveless marriage than someone being kept prisoner in a castle?

  • She was BORN to play Belle.

  • OMG. This. Is. Gorgeous. <3

  • It was actually Tim Rice who wrote the lyrics for this song, not Howard. Howard died before the movie was released and of course before the new music for the musical was written.

  • wow i had no idea that the writers for little shop of horrors wrote this music to!!! i love little shop ;p

  • I adore playing this on my piano <3 it's so pretty! I was curious when i found it in my disney book and wanted to hear the original~

  • Amazing video! Poetry in motion!

I was lucky enough to get the part of Belle in my school musical but sadly, we're not doing this song since we have to save on time. I'm secretly a little bit relieved 'cause I'd really have to push myself to sing this properly, but I'd still be happy to give it a try anyway. I think I'm going to have my singing coach play this on the Piano and I'll try singing it at my next lesson.

    Anyway, awesome video! 5 stars! : )

  • fantastic video! like others have said, great timing. you've truly made the images match the mood of the music. i'm glad you chose beauty and the beast, and sleeping beauty, as they are my favorite disney films!

  • beautiful...you did a wonderful job!

  • BEAUTIFUL! My two favorite Disney princesses with one of my favorite Disney songs. Bravo! <3

  • ok obvisouly some people are idiots

if they can read they would of read the title properly... it says ... Home for beauty and the beast "BROADWAY"

poeple this isnt a song from the movie it is from "BROADWAY"!!

    open ya eyes peoples

  • it starts with is this home.......

  • man thats not how the real song goes

  • wow.

that arguing on this page just killed the mood of this song.

    but for the record...

    it's not in the movie.

there are clips of it in the orchestra as the movie is played, but never the actual song.

it's from the musical version of Beauty and the Beast.

  • i love this song!

  • This video is fantastic!

  • y is everyone fighting on this page???!!!its a disney song 4 crying out loud !!!!!

  • For real. lol

  • This is a lovely video! The editing to match the lyrics were really wonderful. These are two of my favorite disney movies.

  • gosh... i just saw this on stage for the first time. I love this song! it should have been in the movie.

  • it was smartie

  • No it wasn't, and you just made yourself look dumb LOL!

  • it was i just watched the movie yesterday

  • Where in the movie then?

  • IT was Not in the movie! i'm positive.

the tune of this song can be heard in several parts of the movie especially the line sung "What I'd give, to return..."

but the actual song is not in the movie.

  • I know it wasn't in the movie, I just wanted to see if kkgurl would try (feebly) to back up her words.

  • i dunno!

i watched it like a week ago now

but i'm pretty sure it was

and can u not be like I JUST WANTED TO SEE IF KKGURL ok one thats just annoying

and can we just end this whole thing

  • Speaking of Disney characters, here's the eighth Dwarf: Whiny

  • CAN U STOP

    i'm not whining!

its just bugging the hell outa me

  • LOL that isn't whining?

  • ...

  • This is a beautifully made video! Awesome job!

  • omg I love this song

my school is doing it & the girl who is playing belle can't even hit the last note

  • I LOVE Susan Egan (Belle's singing voice in this video)!! She is WONDERFUL!

  • I love this video too.

  • I'm actually singing this in chorus. The version I sing is a bit different. Shorter actually, and in the video the girl who plays Belle sings this a bit faster then it should be. But it's Broadway....

  • Hey, do any of you guys know where I can get an instrumental version of this song? I've been looking very hard and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me a place that I can download it for free or if someone can send it to me. It's for a friend and she's singing it for a grade. Thanks to all who read this and help! Enjoy Beauty and the Beast forever! XD

  • Sweetest little song ever!

  • I am a singer myself , and I sang this at my lesson today.

We barely touched it so I looked it up to see if I could learn the tune better , its a really pretty song , and thats a great video !

  • I'm singing it as well, in my singing lessons. My teacher decided to make it a bit shorter, and I hope I can change her mind!

    Wonderful Video!

  • I love dis song

  • heey that was REALLY well put together! good job xx

  • this made me cry just a little bit, my friend is gonna sing it in a concert, and god that's gonna make me cry. lolz :)

  • tech week starts next week for our production of beastie, can't wait!

  • Robby Benson did an amazing job voicing the beast. If you listen to him talking, he sounds really gentle and sweet, then he puts the Beasts voice on.

  • you know i never notice that Belle or Auroura were so much a like. to me i thought ever disney princess was the same but this made me see a different look them. this is great awesome job.

  • my school just finished the production of beauty and the beast this past weekend and the girl who played belle sounded just like this. its incredible =]

  • nice vid, very poetic story line for your description

  • Q: isn't susan egan the voice of Meg in Hercules? also, does anyone know if hercules is going to come out in a 2 disc editon?

  • Yes, Susan Egan is the voice of Meg in Hercules and was Belle on Broadway whereas Paige O'Hara voiced Belle in the movie.

  • i playing belle in our spring musical!

  • i luvz this song!!

  • this almost exactly mimics the chord progression to the song "place called home" from "a christmas carol"....that Alan Menken is sneaky

  • Very nice video. ^^

  • Let's see, Paige O'Hara's voice is sweeter and Susan Egan's belt effort is stronger...i love them both^^

  • Beautiful. 'nuff said

  • nice vid

  • This is my FAVORITE song in the musical! It's so heart-felt, so beautiful!

  • This is a beautiful song and you did awesome pulling these scenes together for a music video. ^^

  • ya i no, im a soprano and im auditioning for my 4th play for a theatre company and i think ill audition with this song. she does a really good job with this... belle's singing voice perfectly matches my key! FINALLY!

  • awesome!

  • very good, but it must be only belle, not aurora

  • very well done! :)

  • I have this cd and every time I hear this song it reminds me when I used to live in my now ex-step-dad's house. I am so glad I got out of there. The song that reminds me of my new house, well not new anymore, but the house i live in now, is, "I think I'm Gonna Like It Here" from Annie.

  • Beautiful! I was in the ensamble for a community production of Beauty and The Beast and the girl who played Belle sang this beautifully.

  • awsome, when she said "shut away" that was so great!

  • great editing work!

  • Beautiful!!!

  • nicely done m8

  • Btw, I've made a Dutch video out with the Dutch version of this song.

  • But on the other hand, this is the way they sing it on broadway, and Chantal does it like they sing it in the dutch musical-business.

  • I think the dutch version of this song, sang by Chantal Janzen is better. More sincere.

  • That was beautiful. They changed some of the words. Now it's "and to think I complained of that dull provincial town" instead of "but I know that I can't solve my problems going back"

  • im adding this song to my demo next! home is amazing!

  • What a great princess combination. You know, I never would've thought this song could apply to Aurora but after viewing this and remembering the story, she certainly relate to the same homesick feeling Belle's feeling. Once again, great job!!! :)

  • I felt the same way! It was like rediscovering this feeling from the original movie....btw, Sleeping beauty is the first disney clasic that I saw in theaters and B&B its my all time favorite....thanks for posting it

  • I've been singing this song live since the first year B&tB hit the stage. It was one of Disney's shining moments lyrically and emotionally. It was one of those songs that transcends people who might not like disney or broadway because the theme can speak to so many. It's also a very lovely song to sing for a singer. So much passion and so much emotion. It's one of my favorite songs to sing of all time.

  • i love this song so much too.
