  • there is def an art to mixing music and requires much skill and an ear for music. so the girl who commented sayiing she can do the same thing by plugging her ipod in doesnt know what shes talking about.

  • I think this Is what pauly d bought when he became a "DJ" lol.

  • Lol, how can you not like DJ's?

Just cause the other guy is a fat prick doesn't mean it's the DJ's fault xD.

  • whats the song at 2:20 ?????

  • @MegaChristaras Mason Vs Princess Superstar Perfect Exceeder

  • I love it when people go to DJ concerts.

WHAT?! You are gonna pay for a guy to play a record of some music he didn't create or he did but on his computer? Damn it, give me the money, ill do that with my iPhone and bake a cake ;)

  • @Leont64 I bet you don't even know why a dj uses headphones

  • nothing is worse than laptop dj's

  • I became an official DJ after I bought an ipod and mastered DJ Hero on Xbox!!!!

  • i lol'd when i saw Daniel Craig

  • awww, i want an ipod..

  • When he said "Harajuku girlfriend" I was expecting Barbie or Nicki Minaj. Dx

  • The hipsters are always doing their same dance moves. lol

  • i wouldn't put a dj before a lawyer or doctor unless this dj gets paid more

  • I gotta get me one of those,lol :P

  • MAKE::'SICK;:'BEATS'`.ONLINE'`,`;;

    COPY.:.THE,':ADDRESS`::ABOVE:..

  • You know DJing's gone mainstream when you see Best Buy selling equipment, but most DJs will still just be a commodity... there will always be superstar DJs that will get a signature style and unmatched in their craft.

  • record look at... hahahaha... omg... :)))

  • That was funny but dj's do slot more than what you gave them credit for

  • LOL.. "Instant DJ Toolbox" is an iPod????? LOL

  • This is damn funny but it is a stereotype. I am a DJ but I wouldn't consider myself a tool. I am no bro. I just love music. Whether I play my own or not this is funny. I will give it that.

  • Haha so funny! I'm like the guy a few comments down. I only DJ because I produce, so I have a bit more skill than the regs.

  • @JungletoeDJ being a producer does not mean you have more dj skill then the reg? most producers iv seen who dj are SHIT. your standard mix a track, play the full length song, mix another track, 5 mins later mix another one.

Im a DJ who doesn't produce (I am learning though) and i scratch, chase, juggle and incorporate REAL djng skills into my club sets and i let each track play for 2 mins max. so to say you have more DJng skills then the reg because your a producer is bullsh*t.

  • funny

  • Lol... I only DJ because I produce... and if you produce the music you might as well DJ the music as well. mainly because I despise the ass holes who are like this... they don't deserve to spin my music! lol jk I don't give a shit about anything I just like music.

  • hahahahaha

  • I'm a very young Dj n I see how this going. The extreme REAL reason I wanted to become a Dj is to play n mix songs that ppl will b dancing too like house, club, hip hop, techno or anything at has good beat n rhythm. & b4 I became a Dj is because parties I've been going to have been playing the same dumb songs again n again so I decide to play music ppl will b grooving too

  • There are so many DJs in this little city, and I'm convinced every time I go to the club, this is what I'm seeing. A lot of them will walk away from the stands for ten minutes to hang at the bar. It's a joke.

  • Really enjoyed this. That is the stereotype of the DJ that most people have. However, the "bobbing your head" or "tapping your foot" helps you keeps the rhytm of the song playing on the main speakers while you're cueing up your next song. It's not for show.

Also, it's actually extremely annoying when chicks are yapping in your ear while you're trying to mix.

And it's disrespectful when people say DJs are not really musicians. Most DJs are 10 times the musicians current pop stars are.Rant over

  • @TK1129 very true!

  • @TK1129 Im a DJ. Tell em'

  • @TK1129 DJ's are not musicians unless they produce music. it takes no real musical talent to play other peoples records. get real

  • Comment removed

  • @TK1129 like Nujabes. That man is a god

  • @TK1129 I would agree with you if people didn't think tiesto and guetta were good djs. Anyone can beatmatch a trance song. It's one step above house on the mix skills level. If you have ears, you can spin trance. Try looking at what real DJs do.

  • its true. Alot of DJ's don't do shit. And alot of people think it's playing two songs at once.

I'm a DJ and I try to make my mixes as good as possible. Check out my video "All aboot house" and stay away from my other videos except for Angry German Kid the terrorist and the evil dentist. The other ones suck.

  • instant Dj looool

  • a DJ is a disease. Everyone wants to be a DJ because it's "cool". Even though they know nothing about music. Just look at dj tiësto, he spins dull shit that only mentally challenged people would genuinely enjoy, he just changes tracks and doesn't do anything innovative. Look at Z-Trip, now there's a dj.

  • @gldphish Tiesto's old tracks are decent. His new stuff is very housey and commercial. If you want good trance, listen to most of the artists on the Anjunabeats label.

  • - "Be a Tool." (:

  • funny as hell!!! thumps up....

  • As a real Dj... i dont fuck random sluts...because i really take my art form seriously! But I totally understand this cartoon talking about the douchbags who cant mix for shit! hahahahah

  • @djtaboo Agree completely :D

  • @djtaboo As a chessplayer I also have those hordes of groupy sluts running after my ass all the time, very tiresome. Yes, I'm totally lying.

  • Those drugs that coke of meth?

  • hate this show its pinko commie bull

  • LOL DANIEL CRAIG

  • imfao

  • if you think being a dj is good way to get laid will you please fuck off

  • lmfao !!! word

  • Anyone who thinks thAt it's a good idea to be a dj to get laid. Then go die in a hole be in for the love the music. Currernt you suck D:

  • OMG DANIEL CRAIG :D

  • I don't think this is aimed at REALLY DJs like Tiesto or Richie Hawtin. Also I am hurt D:

  • @MrdjHYPEr : "real Dj" "Tiesto" lol'd

He might be a good producer, though he's not anymore, but he's definitly not a good dj.

  • Well, according to SCIENCE ...........

  • @Sv1Floki chicks love it when dudes stand in front of people and do things

  • This video is classic material lol!

  • LoL these guys are Ravers, they're the one that do drugs! Normal party people don't do drugs, they drink beer and mixed drinks! xD

And WTF,the DJ's on drugs too? Man,that's what i call a bad DJ...just take maybe 2-3 beers and then stay to soda or water if you're thirsty!

And btw, seriously, learn how to beatmatch, people are more likley to hire a DJ who can mix without needs of Auto Mix buttons and BMP counters! Mix by ear people,it's the only true way! LoL xD

  • @ReboyGTR

The music ain't Rave music man. Hardcore is where the Rave music is.

lol, a lot of DJs do drugs, and they're not bad. Then again you don't see much of their work as time goes on...

  • Yea, i was just pointing out that Ravers to drugs to be able dance in like 2 days straight (or even more),while as normal party people don't really do that....

The DJ shouldn't be on drugs (or to drunk btw) coz if he is,he wouldn't be able to mix that good....and that's just sad!

Yea,House music is where it's at right now, with guys like David Guetta and The Swedish House Mafia making it more popular, and they don't do drugs!

The point is,don't do drugs and learn how beatmacth!

  • I still think being high or drunk or not effects if you can still DJ.

House music in the states, yes, but for the really Hardcore raves, they play Hardcore and Freeform.

    Point taken. lol

  • It depends on how much of it you do,but still you shouldn't. Drugs turns your brain into jello (not really, but still you shouldn't)

House music is now sorta mainstream thanks to guys like David Guetta,The Swedish House Mafia and Guro Josh Project to name a few.Now being mainsream, these are the parties that get's the most attention, and therefore a bigger crowd. Hardcore and stuff is nice an all,but it's underground, but i guess if you're into to it,the crowd can become really big!

  • I looked through you're favorites and most of the stuff there where Eurodance and Happy Hardcore,so it's not just Hardcore there! xD

  • I'm only persistent in it that I used to listen to a DJ who took drugs. A lot of it. His stuff was pretty tight and original, but then he dropped off the grid... like I said, seeing less of the work as time goes on.

Yeah, sad that I moved on to Hardcore before now. I used to listen to David Guetta, and I remember the first place I hear Infinity by Guru Josh Project, before Tiesto played it on his Club Life podcast. David Guetta and Akon really got the music out on the charts, that's for sure.

  • House music is now! If you're into underground stuff, that's cool, but i'm a little bit suprised that an American heard of David Guetta before his collaboration with various celebrities, same with Guro Josh Project! Well, anywas,i'm glad to see that the Americans have started to understand that that's what the rest of the world is listening to! ^^

  • @ReboyGTR

lol yeah, I guess I can say I was the into the before it was cool. And now that it's cool, I'm not into it. And if Hardcore ever gets popular in the states (OMG lol) I might move on to something more drastic... xP

My favorites was not a good place to look at my song preference, lol. My playlists would've been a better bet.

Love Is Gone (DJ Klaas Remix) and The World Is Mine were some of my favorites. Yes, a lot of non-Rap and non-Rock music is becoming popular as of late.

  • See,that's one thing i just don't understand. If an underground elecronic music producer gets mainstream, why do the fans that liked him while he was underground stop to like him? I just don't get that!! Shouldn't you be happy that it's going really good for that guy? If you're a good fan, then you should be happy!

  • I am happy the Guetta is on the American charts, it's just I stopped listening to the music as a genre a year ago, before this release. I don't listen to the music for the reason of him being popular, it's just I moved on to other music before him. If I still listened to BPM then I would be caught up on his works... o.0 I'm actually looking forward to an uplift in the charts, if this trend continues.

  • Really!? That's exatly how it was for me,just the other way around! I was listening to Eurodance and Happy Hardcore, and somewhere around this time last year,i started to listen to House music. I still like Eurodance and stuff,it's just that House music is the main focus now!

This don't really think this instant interest in European club culture is just a trend,i think it's here to stay! Sure, there will be the ups and downs, but as a whole,i think it's here to stay! ^^

  • Ha, you listened to Hardcore? That's surprising. I transitioned from Eurodance and House to Hardcore... so... yeah.

Oh you never know your interests might change. Maybe still European interests though, ha.

  • Well,i said Happy Hardcore AND Eurodance.Happy Hardcore is not exatly like the Hardcore i thought you were trying tell me about! I thought Hardstyle and stuff like that!

Well,i'm DJ and as i DJ i gotta play the music that's popular. So House it is! ^^

  • Meaning that i listen to Happy Hardcore, not Harstyle! xD

  • lol, I meant I listen to Happy Hardcore. I just call it Hardcore. I know I'm wrong. >.>

Ha ha, I'm an aspiring DJ as well, and I'm afraid if I become good enough to do gigs I won't get a gig because there isn't as much of a Hardcore scene in Nor Cal than a House scene. Might have to start playing House, which I don't really mind at all. ^^

  • Good to hear, good to hear!

Hey,got any decks? You could make a Tenminmix and post it here!

  • I made a Tenminmix and already posted it about 6 months ago on here, and my 80s American DJ set is broken, along with VDJ.

I'm trying to get the Numark Mixdeck though. ^^

  • Play with Turntables? Nice! =D Although my dream set is 2-3 Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3 and a DJM 800! I know! xD Almost everyone wants a set of those! xD

If VDJ is broken, simply buy a new one...or it it to expensive at the moment?

  • Ha ha, those are expensive. OMG I'd have to sell everything I own, xP

And meh, VDJ isn't a necessity.

  • They sure are but i've manged to find some cheap pairs.Used, but then again, that's only way i'll be able to buy these! To expensive with my current income, but quite possible when i get a job! xD

  • Cheap CDJ1000 are a find anyway, just make sure they are from a reliable seller! xP

  • Of course it is a lot of money, and when they say it's "almost new" or "barely used" it really makes you wonder. But you know, you can always meet the guys who sells them and ask if you can try em out! =P

  • Of course, that's if you're not buying on eBay. lol

  • We have another website in Sweden to buy used stuff! The one most comoly used is called Blocket. This is not an auction site, simply look up want you want and buy it! xD But there is also Tradera and that's a little bit more eBay style with auctions and so on! So yea, that's where i'll buy my decks! =P

  • Buying like that must be extremely simple, if you're not worried much about the price.

I'm sure bartering would be the best when buying expensive products like decks, so I'd buy from someone local. Or Guitar Center.

  • Yea,you search up what area you would like to shop in and about how much you're ready to pay. This is also why it is Swedens most comonly used site to buy used cars! xD

  • Your not a REAL DJ unless youve toted 12 crates of records to your gigs and still own 20,000 of them!

  • Thall shall not play Sandstorm!

  • THIS IS ABOUT DJ PAULY D. IT IS AN ART FORM, even if you are playing (mostly) other peoples music. If you can cut and scratch and remix LIVE, you are performing an art.

The popularity of DJing is only gonna keep me working for a loooooooong time to come.

  • HA I LOVE IT!!!!

  • Dj'ing is an art form? Fuckin yeah right, let me stop you before you go into one of those ''It takes skill to be able to play music that the crowd is feeling, and keep them dancing all night, catering to one and all, whilst maintaining thought for classics, new music, and a little something of my own just to see how people respond, I spent years beat juggling in my bedroom to nail this set down''

YOU PLAY OTHER PEOPLES MUSIC !!!

  • trader joes bag boy is higher up the ladder than a doctor

  • DJing is an art form. I have no respect for Toolbag DJs.

  • hahahah... sooo funny :))

  • Like anything in life,it takes time and dedication to learn something,DJing is one of em!

  • some dj's screw n chop

    some dj's mix n scrach

but some dj's just play music that's it just play music n look cool

  • Chicks dig Tools.

  • This is funny and some djs are like that, but they are still good one out there that know how to prevent a trainwreck

  • HAHAHA. "Bob your head" "Record look at"

  • I'ma tool I guess. I have a shuffle just like that. Same color and everything.

  • Hey, I still use 45 rpm records when I DJ! You know, those small records with the big hole in them that record stores use to just decorate the place?

    Suck it!

  • lol Daniel Craig

  • Ipod shuffle lol!!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha but some djs are actully good and take a long time to perfect

  • @GOODERT HaHa! Thats a really funny joke.

  • What's the song that starts when that hot chicks kicks that guy's balls?

  • funny but could have made fun of so many more aspects of Dj-ing

  • Ha funny; thats the reality of it.

I almost took up DJing but you have to invest a ton to get legitimate gear. Put that off for further down the road.

  • be a tool lol

  • Yea! I'm one step under from Daniel Craig!

  • roflmao great viewpoint

  • 1.10 what song name?

  • I think it's a modified version of Mason's Exceeder, it's not the same song but it's close, prob. so they didn't get a takedown notice. Unless there's another song that sounds like it... which there very likely is.

  • lol @ Trader Joes Bag boy

  • Hehe.. "..Not when we teach you moves like "tank top!" and "Harajuku girlfriend!" "BANZAI!!"" ..I lol'd. XD

  • Some, not all. I actually engage the crowd, I don't just nod my head and push buttons. I guess there are some DJs like that, but like anything, there are some good and some bad!

    DJ RuDe

  • This is just like the OK DeeJays from Louisville, KY. Whatever you do, don't check them out.

  • hihahahaahaha nice

  • I'm a DJ and I still lol'd. "He likes that one!"

  • Yea me too, and I laughed my ass off. A real DJ isn't going to be offended by this, it's hilarious because it's what most of the "up and coming" DJs are doing. I've switched over to computer from vinyl but I still actually DJ, some of these "dj's" don't even beat match and just do play lists/auto-beat match even if it isn't detected right and train wreck like crazy even WITH software/beat counter help (and CDs are just as easy to auto-match using the beat counter fyi).

  • Damn, laughed my guts out, funny as hell :D :D :D haha.. I pod Shuffle :D :D

  • Be a tool

  • DJ stands for Disk Jockey! I hate it when they just stand there and nod instead of actually doing anything

  • LOL! thats why im starting form the beginning... LP

  • Hey wussup guy...yeah...lat~..

  • take it easy

  • LOL, its so true, some many moblie DJ's don't even mix the music and just press the play button on there premade playlist!

  • the bad ones yes,but even it they did that, they would still have mixed it before!

  • @MockeryMedia Fucking mobile DJ's -_-

  • oh i forgot the sunglases were the same unbelivable!!

  • i just came from a dj contest that had actually dj's like this one, doing drugs while an illegally downloaded software did the mix

  • 1. ID

    2. Mason - Exceeder (some rmx)

    3. Sander Kleinenberg - This Is Miami (some rmx)

    4. ID

    Anyone #1 or #4?

  • Science also shows that if you learn to play an instrument or can sing and join a band chicks will also "dig" you. That's what I did.

  • roflroflrofl an ipod shuffle, hilarious.

  • I hope not too many club DJs are guilty of this but I've seen an alarming amount of "professional" wedding DJs simply hook up their laptops, run their "mixing program" (ie. Itunes), and collect big chunks of change for doing next to no work...

  • lol this is funny im a DJ but theres alot more to it then ppl think, I haave to do equalization for bands sometimes and you got to be technical with your equipment and know how to use it and also got to be regularly up to date with music even if u dont like it, plus u learn how much and impact on how music can be with ppl...like what will drive ppl in or away from the dance floor, goes the same with lighting too!

  • Dude... srsly... Im a DJ too, and if you dont like "your" music you are totally going into the wrong direction ^^

But Whatever... Video is TOTALLY hillarious xD

  • HAHAH lol trop drole XD

  • Beleive me... You have to learn how to spin records before having girls ;p Hey. I'm a DJ, Not a Doctor.. But can I touch anyway? ;p

  • As sad as it is...this video is fundamentally correct ... and hilarious :)

  • yo p4punkrock your making fun of other people even tho your a fucking porn addict. jesus christ get a life.

  • what do u know about punk rockers man?

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! this is hilariouss

  • As a DJ I found this to be hilarious

  • roflcakes! i luv it! just an ipod shuffle!

  • No skill needed to masturbate to YouTube vids either. Hey, you're pretty good at that.

  • its weird couse its true

  • It's funny cause it's true

  • wur dj's

  • Daniel Craig!!! YES!!!

  • kiram dahanet

  • so true.

  • "He likes that one! Likes that one"

    freakin' hillarious!!!! Loved it!

  • isn't that doctor the one snorting mars dust in "life on mars is gay" and isn't that dj east village boy from "hipsters in space"? They need new characters. But still funny stuff.

  • j'aiiime XD

  • Thats all sooo True!! By The way...if you kiss to many girls...you get tonsilitis!!! ..... If you have drugs your gonna get more women groupies....and if your black.....even more! dont ask me why..its just like that in womens eyes. But at the end of the day.....youll see all these bitches walking down the street and they wont even look at you! sad but true......(continued)

  • So to all the up and coming djs out there...have no feelings for the oposite sex....give them a free drink, keep there handbag....but abuse them after cos they want you as a trophy...and once that is fulfilled they will forget you. Some women just fuck you cos your a dj and if you happen to like her....what then? this is not an opinion......its "My Life Story"

  • @mallorca629

Looks like you just got dumped. Try for a girl who isn't so shallow next time dude, but don't become a douche yourself.

  • brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I never thought in 1982 that djing would become so popular, now in days you see chick djs..in a way i love that the dj world got big and popular but on the other hand its become to easy for young djs to beatmatch with all these new programs..try mixing with no pitch control on a turntable, no headphones and a radio shack realistic mixer like i did back in 82

  • Already getting rid of such a old business... You always misunderstand being a real Deejay in opposite of an an assy ipod ikiddy!!!

Anyway so sarcastic!! Thanks for the upload current

  • " cheks dig it when dudes stand infront of ppl and do things "

    1:08

    sooooo true lol

    :P

  • This video was funny as hell I've been a dj for a few years and its one of those things thats easy to start but takes years to master just like everything else.

  • you dont have to have instruments to make music dickface.

  • Actually the final music is cool! LOLOL

  • ipod shuffle!

  • The sherlock is you because you obviously don't have the slightest clue about electronic music. Most productions include multiple elements including vocals, bass and drums.

Anyway, as I said, no one is forcing you to like something you don't so why don't you just chill the fuck out? You're not always right, dumbass.

  • lol science school

  • what's the name of the song starting at 0:25 ?

  • i loled.

just the different 'moves' the DJ knows. haha

  • any DJ who replies to this video seriously is a total asshat.

  • Yup, cuz jumping around with a guitar while playing a shitty 2-chords song is way harder.

To each his own. Live and let live, dude.

  • get a life and read a book before u go posting things that YOU think r correct.

  • Comment removed

  • It was made in fun... No one is suggesting that you actually use an ipod :)

  • Why so serious?

    - Joker

P.S. I love electronic music, but I can take a joke.
