Just stumbled across this looking for something else.
Brilliant shots of the Clyde at that place, know precisely where these were shot. Portencross is so mystical and beautiful in that light. Next time climb Law Hill at West Kilbride.
My Great Uncle Archie went out to Australia (from England) just before the Ist World War. He signed up for the Australian Infantry and was killed in action somewhere near the Somme. He was 22-years old. My father was named Archie in his honour. The Australian War Graves Commission went to a lot of trouble on my behalf, and sent me a couple of lovely photos of Archie's grave.
Toured the Somme battlefields in 2005. This was played on the bus between stopover grave sites for us aussies, still can't hear it without welling up. Great uncle didn't come back from there in 1918 and only 18 years young!

Love this. It awakens something in my soul -- something that my Scottish/Irish ancestors knew, but following generations have lost.

I'm looking for a scottisch song: a man is playing with a bagpipe on a mountain. An elderly woman is singing at the beach.
The song sounds like "la tribu de dana"
I think it was made in the beginning of the 90's.
Can anyone help? Thanks.

Sounds like the Busindra Reel by Hevia. Actually Spanish Gaita pipes, but nice nevertheless.
