  • this is shit hot,.

  • OMFG! BRILLANT!

  • Good....

  • Dude is the background moving or is it just me?

  • To think of the generation we left behind, the music so rich with soule and meaning. today, theres good music, but it doesn't deliver that same feeling. When i hear jimi play, the sound of his guitar has a physical effect on me, and everyone who has experienced his creations. if only he was still alive, and could see were music has gone, rest in peace jimi, you were a true master of your trade...

  • Wait, what? 3 dislikes? What, do you live under a fucking rock or something? o.0

  • Sweet solo man

  • I've heard at least ten versions of Hendrix playing Red House and no two of them sound anything alike - and they're all great. NOBODBY better.

  • I was born 40 years too late

  • this is class,genius,.

  • Saw Jimi in The D 43 years ago today - gets better with time.

  • 3 people had an orgasm and accidentally hit the dislike button

  • A true Bluesman if there ever was one!!

  • This is his best version of "Red House" ever. Evah! Not just among the live versions, but also the studio version!

(Hated that dude edited out the awesome beginning for time constraints.)

  • This is his best version of "Red House" ever. Evah! Not just among the live versions, but also the studio version!

  • Now, three people who watched this needs to get shipped to a stranded island and DIIE!!! No one dislikes Jimi Hendrix!

  • still the best !!!

  • *)))(((*INTHEMOMENT

  • the best ever,and thats a fact,.

  • electric god

  • Crowd, I am proud of you. The comment jokingly made by @LiquorWreckedEmGood could have caused a backlash that would ruin this whole comments section.

I am glad that people have some sense here and are able to see that it is a joke.

    Hendrix ftw!

  • my personal favorite song from hendrix. but all of his work is great.

  • EXACTLY....edj4500....His phrasing is UNMATCHED w/o playing 1000 notes a second even though shredding has it's place too, but this IS THE SHIT

  • He plays the guitar like it owes him money and bitch is gonna pay!

    lester leroy says

  • What concert was this? I haven't heard any other version of red house that sounds like this! Does anybody know?

  • @cannibalonXthedead Royal Albert Hall, London, England -8 :00pm Monday, Feb 24th 1969. This show was professionaly videotaped along with another and rehearsals. From what I'm told the Hendrix estate has redone it all and once some final legal details are ironed out, they'll release it. A lot of the show is available on boot DVD now, but not Red House - only audio. Can't wait to see it.

  • @jgcaesar4 Are you positive? i've heard other recorings of the song that are dated to 2/24/1969 and they are just standard versions of this song, nothing like this.

  • @jgcaesar4 Oh nevermind, i assumed the start of this video was closer to the beggining to the song, but it's actually a minute in. :| thanks for the info

  • Bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Doors, Hendrix give you chills? Are you physically attracted to music? I AM!

But If you think this is good well...Introducing my channel. IT attempts to open your mind up to a whole new world of musical truth. Don't forget to CHECK it OUT & subscribe IF U LIKE IT! <3muchlove

  • Hendrix was good, no doubt, but let's face it, he was no Justin Bieber.

  • @LiquorWreckedEmGood

True, but he comes close, though. You gotta admit :/

  • Red House in the west ruled !!!!

  • He's simply THE BEST.

  • thanks for posting this! I love hearing new versions of Hendrix songs that I can't find anywhere else!

  • Red House from England records "Hendrix in the West" has always been my favorite but I am listening to this one now. It doesn't have the deepness of the version I mentioned but I am only 2 minutes in. Thanks for the psot.

  • What a master of Blues Rock guitar. No one when it comes to improvisation and passion, comes close. This is a great version.

  • Is so good I don't like it? ... About the phrasing, thats what happen when you want to express your life through guitar, Jimi said... I want that voice to be heard in notes. And it's so Jimi, Jimi is pure phrasing, sometimes you can even write lyrics based on his solos. He's telling something, thats what we like, he's no god, he's no alien, he's just a guy who knew how to manipulate that piece of amplified wood.

  • @Hacker506 Well stated man. The melodic flow of his improvisations is genius.

  • Want to learn the entire song on your guitar? Be sure to check Jimi Hendrix Red House Lesson by Mannus on my profile.

  • @BluesMannus if i want to learn THIS entire song? ahahahaha you must be kiddin ;D

  • @kimmedavid sorry, I meant the studio version, my mistake ;-)

  • Its a great version! damn 7:15 is so good.

  • now they´re 2... LOL, poor bastards

  • what CD is this from?

  • @MrLeftyguitarman It's available on The Jimi Hendrix "Experience" [Live at The Royal Albert Hall 2/24/69] [Soundtrack, Import]. I'm sure you can get it other places, but I know it's on this one.

  • @jgcaesar4 thanks man!

  • When I was a kid, I once heard "An old guy, maybe 27 or so", say that he would walk 1000 miles to see Hendrix play. I didn't exactly get it for a few more years, but I know now that there are certain times when Hendrix is all that I can relate to. It's safety in a sea of chaos.

  • @JimmyMarshall27 As a young man J.S. Bach walked something like fifty miles to see the great organist Buxtehude. Bach said to Buxtehude after the show, "Man, I just canceled a gig to come see you play!".

    True story.

  • Love this so so much :) Does anybody know the name of the art work? <3

  • I agree, outstanding version. Thanks for posting ...

  • i wish i could get free music that doesn't give me viruses :(...

  • Music is my fucking religion. And Hendrix is my god.

  • shredders started showing up,in full force, in the 1980's. but their speed has never come close to jimi's melodic phrasing, manual tricks and countless twists and variations he put into his fills- to this very day. UNFRICKIN' BELIEVABLE. purple haze- Jesus saves

  • @edj4500 speed and technique are nothing

  • @nicksesta231289 thats bullshit

  • Wow!!! Just, Wow!!!

  • I can only dream to play like that

  • just love him!!!!!!!!

  • 2 people must have their heads up their asses and can't hear a damn thing...

  • @gajdijaa lol

  • 3 people deserve too be eaten

  • Man i hope Sony won´t take this down like many other hendrix vids....

  • @kimmedavid that's why I'm ripping the audio file as quickly as I can lol...

  • @kimmedavid yea man. likeevery week i notice i have less and less hendrix songs on my playlist. when the revolution starts, we should take out sony first. lol

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • This is to all those kids wasting cash on guitar hero and spending all day to smack around on a piece of plastic HENDRIX WAS THE ORIGINAL GUITAR HERO!

  • Stratospheric Blues!

  • what else was on that 5€ cd?;-)

  • Man Jimi was really on that night. WOW!! Fanfuckingtastic licks.

  • God I wish Jimi was still alive so I could shake his hand and thank him for everything he did for guitar.

  • dude seriously jimi got soul

  • I want that 5 Euro CD!!

  • I have like 5 versions of Red House on my iPod, i thought that was enough. Apparently not.

  • this is one of the best versions I have ever heard.

  • The Master. Awesome version, thanks !

  • my vid response is an mp3 taken from a cassette i found in woolworths in 1992/3. sounds like a cassette too! This is the best version by Hendrix. the solo will blow you away.

  • This IS an excellent version of Red House. No one is better. Thank God he's finally getting recognized as a Great Blues guitarist as well as the absolute best guitarist ever. He started the Hard Rock guitar sound and then some. Music would be totally different if not for Jimi Hendrix.

  • @JimmyMarshall27 Hear, here! I always think of Hendrix as a blues guitarist first and foremost, rather than as the author of "Foxy Lady and "Purple Haze".

  • The great distorted sound he gets near the 7 minute mark when he starts going off sounds amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing

  • Is there anyone better than him?

    Don't think so...

  • Yeah no doubt.Royal Albert Hall.Have you heard Red House from th LA forum 1969 via the lifeline box set?Unfucking real. And better than that pretty darn good bootleg that has been floatin'for years.I think it is lke 20 minutes.Great stuff.

  • I'm pretty sure this is the Royal Albert Hall version of Red House from Feb 24, 1969

Indeed, one of the very best versions of all. Very cool. I hope you don't mind that I tag along.

  • oh my god,,,, this has to be the best version!!!!

  • Anyone get the feeling this is from the Royal Albert Hall show? Check the tone.

  • @RastafariPoet yes it is ! the whole concert is amazing ! it contains the best "little wing" in my opinion ;)

  • This brings back memories of being 14 for some reason and listening to blues while I was into Anime and Manga

  • epic one !!!!

  • its sends chill,s thrills and spills down every which way possible. FOREVER HENDRIX!

  • the real king/

  • What an amazing version

  • Another thing I notice is that you rarely ever hear someone integrate their voice with the guitar notes they're playing. It always freaked me out when he did that... in a good way.

  • @TheRealScotius your right man! im playing a year now, and thats where i wanna get. play exactly what i hear in my head without thinking about it. i want the guitar to be my mouth :D

  • @pumukellll That's the way it gets when you develop real skill. Music is an expression. I didn't even have much practice under my belt when I noticed that when angry I'd play very percussively, and when relaxed in a great mood there was more variation in some respects (I was a drummer) and a lot more rhythm. And that was just as a beginner. I didn't really stick with it and am so rusty now I do well to keep a rhythm, but it sounds like you're well on your way on guitar.

  • This is why someone as great as Satriani often dedicates tunes to "the great Jimi Hendrix" at concerts.

  • I put on my headphones, turn it up, close my eyes and lift-off.

    Definitely Awesome Music (D.A.M.)

    James Marshall Hendrix

    I will...

  • it's certainly not possible to play this well.

  • this made my whole body sweat, jimi is the best!

  • probably one of my favorite hendrix tracks. he rips BALLLLLLLLS. when i heard this i quite literally shat myself. please, for the love of god, learn from this song and have music reborn

  • Which concert is this? It has elements of New York Pop and San Diego......excellent!

  • F'n Awesome !!! But, Electric Church Red House from Blues Album and the one from Woodstock are probably my favorites... Then again I really like the Winterland version... Checkem' out!!!

  • Wow. Really outrageous -- a tight version, probably surpassing SanDiego -- which i never thought was possible. Anyone know where/when recorded?

  • @trignoriver1 ive got this on the "latest experience" (great live cd) i think all songs are from the royal albert hall concert in februar 1969 !!

  • pure orgasm!!

  • Christ, a Red House I don't have. What CD is it from?

  • @JimmyGuitarist i have this song on the album "the latest experience" live songs from the royal albert hall concert in 1969 i think ! it has an nice version from "stone free" to it goes like 11minutes.. and hear my train a commin and other great hendrix tunes :) if you want some music just write me

  • The greatest version of Red House in my opinion, and the greatest example of electric blues. Shame the front was cut off.

  • The guitar is a part of him. Like a hand, muscle, or voice is a part of the body. The guitar is Jimi.

  • the secret to playing great guitar is to fall in love with your guitar...I see it everytime in jimi and I can't wait to buy my guitar and fall in love with it..hahaha...rock on in heaven jimi.

  • @doubleg35 I've been playing the guitar for more than 30 years but have never fallen in love with it.

I'm too scared of becoming emotionally involved and then it deciding to leave me.

  • @lewars1912 lol, I'm sure the guitar loves you. It's just waiting for you to let go of that fear. Tell me, 30 yrs and the guitar still waits?...lol....nice..rock on.

  • @doubleg35 My guitar loves me? Nah. Never bloody speaks to me. Just ignores me. I could have been as great a guitarist as Hendrix. The only thing that's held me back is my fingers as they tend to have a bit of a problem going where I want them to go. I may give up the guitar altogether and take up the tin whistle. Either that or the bagpipes.

  • @lewars1912 nice bro, listen find your own play style or find your favorite instrument....much success to you man. I'm glad you love music. hope everything always goes good with you...peace

  • @lewars1912 I've been playing about 2 1/2 and the best thing I ever did was connect to it emotionally. It's helped my playing so much

  • @verbw002 If you are in love with your guitar then you're much better to tell it and ask it if it feels the same way about you. If it does then propose to it.

  • @lewars1912 I did. We've already set a date!! August 3rd :D

  • @verbw002 Congratulations.

  • @lewars1912 Thank you, I'm so excited! (by the way, the sex is great!)

  • @verbw002 You should have waited till after the wedding to have sex with it. Bloody terrible. Young people nowadays are sex mad.

  • @lewars1912 It just kinda happened, one minute we're starring into each other's eyes, whispering sweet nothings, the next minute we're kissing passionately and ripping the bubble wrap off of each other! It was extremely romantic!

  • I think that one dislike might be my neighbor. I'll just kill them, put them out of our misery

  • @bluescat59 Probably not your neighbour. Could be a relative.

  • Check out electric church red house off the blues album shorter with miles on drums but damn its hendrix at his best.

  • there is so much feeling in this masterpiece. he probably had turned cheats on... *listen to the second part*...yeah he definitely had...

  • Yeah riverdale what you do with your guitar blows my mind greatinq from amsterdam

  • There's NUTHIN' cheap about it! This is priceless!!!!!Thanks=]

  • Jimi Hendrix is the greatest man that ever walked the face of the earth. This song is so amazing words can't even describe it.

  • dude he sang the notes... and then he played the exact same notes! thats freakin sick!

  • @IbanezRokr thats hendrix

  • That's alright, I still got my guitar.

  • Jimi Hendrix you are a legend man , you are the greatest, forget about Guitar Hero with plastic guitar. Jimi Hendrix is our GUITAR HERO, so let us play with the real guitar.

  • There is one very sad fuck on youtube that doesn't like this. Can you believe that. You are one sad bastard.

  • hahahhahhaha 1 justin beaver fan didnt like it kkkkk

  • where can i get the whole recording??

  • @lastrevolv "the latest experience" its a 3 cd album i got it on pc if you want some music just write me

  • 40 years dead and his music is still the best.

    This song is amazing.

  • not bad for five euro lol...

  • Isn't it great, he's not following anybody, just out front blazing his own trail, pretty amazing stuff.

  • Still the greatest, The master, The man who wrote the book on how electric guitar should be played!! Rock On Forever Jimi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jamminjoe44 i agree. He´s still the best. amazing , the version in " valleys of neptune" 2010

  • fuck me sideways, it makes me jealous. so much talent but to only one guy, where is my share?

  • thank you ever so much for this song--been listening to Jimi for many decades

  • now how could you not love this!!!! cool as!!

  • I love how he strangles his guitar and makes it sing

  • Friends, I grew up with him! He is still my hero. More is nothing to say!

  • no better musician across space and time

  • I really like this version too but it's not the one off my 'albert hall experience' cd? ...is there another recording at the albert hall or is this not from there? My live recording from the albert hall was 24 feb 1969....it's similar but slower and the recording has a differenttone/mix to it.

  • This was recorded at The Albert Hall London.

  • 1:27 pure feeling

  • @achemaro

wait a minute something's wrong: until where? I record 10:01 pure feeling :-)
