Ok I gotta mac and I wanna know how can I stop the photo from zoming in when I push play is there a way to do this?

hey I have a Mac OS X version 10.64 & I have this imovie 06 & it says welcome there is no project open 1) Create project 2) Quit 3) Open an Exsiting project & when ever I try to open an existing project it won't take anything expect the folders & then in the folders it wont expect anything else in there & whenever I try to create a new project on it it will just appear blank so help me any one youtube if they have any time thanks
