as a fellow performer and artist . as we are called. I appeared on about 20 OPRY shows and 15 road shows with Mr Wagoner. Sorry to burst your bubble but, Mr Wagoner was one of the rudest, cruelest, self absorbed, better than anyone else Bastards in the business. He had a yard sale once. Bragged about how much his bikini briefs would bring. Pitiful. You tried to own Ms Parton. In the end she bailed your ass out. FACT. Mr Wagoner, in the end, you weren t who you professed to be. RIP

I wish I had been alive to see Roy Acuff, but he died when I was 2. As for Porter Wagoner, I just recently got into the old country thing and sadly I never got to see him perform either.
Also, just curious, where is the full video of this.

Recently went back to Nashville myself. My parents use to go and I of course went too since I was just 8- 13 years old. Saw Acuff, Snow, Dickens, Gill, Tubb on and on. Actually met Porter in a Shoney's restaurant.

has lost its..luster..its..patronage to the pioneers that started it all!
