  • I like Mary. Anne is a bitch. In the end when she asks her sister to be there for her, I would've been like, "Sorry bitch, you betrayed me. I won't save you from getting your head chopped off."

  • The way these two played off each other in this film was perfect. I truly believed Nat and Scarlett were sisters.

  • Natalie is amazing here. Just amazing. This is such a difficult role to play and she did it so good.

  • They missed out my favourite bit:

Anne: he should name a barge after you rather than a warship.

Mary: when they launch snakes anne, then you'll have your namesake

I loved that part in the book, it felt like a proper sisterly argument!

  • mary and anne were just sexual pawns in their families persuit to gain higher positions in their lives.

the difference between them was mary didnt want what her family wanted but anne did and even more so the power went straight to her head

  • @confusssed Exactly!

  • wait, 1 thing i noticed, mary has blue eys, and anne has brown, surely tht isnt prosably, because a child needs two sets of blue eyed genes, so mary would need be have brown eyes as well.

  • @TheWickedVampire

thats not necessarily true. blue eyes is a recessive gene, so the parents can have brown eyes and still give birth to a blue eyed child. there are two genes on a chromosome, so if one gene is brown and the other is blue the blue can still be passed on to the child if both parents have it. if B denotes brown eyes and b denotes blue eyes the parents would both be Bb, passing on the brown to anne so she would be BB while passing on blue to mary so she would be bb

  • @tanan18 thanks, sorry i didn't know, we only learned a little of the gentics in school:)

  • @TheWickedVampire not really, i have light blue eyes, and my younger sister has dark brown eyes, we have the same parents, Im blonde and fair, my sister is dark with brown hair, its possible, just not very common

  • @TheWickedVampire You can carry the gene for blue eyes but have brown eyes so both here parents could have had brown eyes.

  • i loved mary in this movie:)

  • @MaryHeart911

He's ugly by today's standards. But in his day he was very attractive. Especialy as a young man.

  • no, ugly betty is wearing her necklace

  • is she wearing Ugly Betty's necklace?

  • is anne wearing the same necklace as betty does on ugly betty? they look similar

  • @beachcutie359 yeah it's the same one. :)

  • Anne is very judgmental of her sister's mistake. Mary fell for Henry. Anne only wanted him because of power. She wanted him because he's hot and sexy and a good lover. But Henry thought love between them was real, because he confuses lust for love.

  • I think Natalie did great in this film:)

but the best anne ever was Natalie Dormor in the tudors

  • So I was thinking of this while I was high one day. If Anne Boleyn had not been killed chances are she would have stayed as Henry's Queen. Which means chances are that Queen Elizabeth might have been raised differently and would not have had the hatred towards men, and she would have married, which means that James would not have been King so his descendants would not have ruled, which means that all in all America would have probably been French. All because of Anne Boleyn. Pretty Cool huh?

  • i don't think elizabeth hated men, she had an addair with thomas seymour and it was rumored that she had one with robert dudley.

  • *affair

  • I like this part..... any chance of you posting her death?

  • Henry was once called the most handome man in Europe, before the reign of Anee. But he fell from his horse and damaged his leg, making him unable to exersize. Also this is how you remember the order of henry's wives: Divorce, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Widowed.

  • I thought it was Divorced, Beheaded, Died. Divorced, Beheaded and Survived

  • its this one! I agree! APPROVED!!!! :)

  • i like Anne coz she was ambitious, strong, and didn't need a prince charming to sweep her off her feet and save her life. And also, she mothered queen elizabeth. A strong child from a strong mother

  • AGREED!

  • x + Y chromosome= xy (male)

    x + x chromosome= xx (female)

The women always carry the x chromosome and the man can either have x or y. the Y carrier is faster but dies easily, while the x carrier is slower yet more durable. Since the woman wil always have x, it depends to the father if he has x or y. The more y chromosome he has, the more chances he'd have a son.

  • @CatchMeIfYouDare568 wouldnt it be funny if henry were alive now to know this lol it was his fault for not having a son nt theirs lol

  • I found the movie touching. But it wasn't really accurate. henry isn't a stud like eric bana..He was fat with boils all over. And historians now found out that mary was the older sister. I also don't like henry. He had his queens killed, one after another just to remarry. don't even know if the charges againts them were true. he couldnt even bore a son. That's right it's a man's fault if he cannot bore a son. My studies is in the medical field.

  • actually at this time henry wasnt "fat with boils all over." he was actually a fit man and a great athlete. it wasnt until later that he became the heavy henry we think of

  • Natalie is absolutely gorgeous she did an amazing job in this moviee !

    x.o

  • Natalie is so pretty and is a very good actress!!1

  • I liked Mary the best, Scarlett did a great job on her.

  • mary was actually the more beautiful older sister while anne secretly despised her. she also had a mole on her neck.

i dont get why this film changed things so much..

  • @jules27 Anne was older I believe, but your right Mary was more beautifull...Anne wasn't beautifull then, but she had a charm, and character. I do believe Mary was just a...well whore...sorry for that word, and she was just ...well Anne was more stubborn, and Mary had no will I believe. She was just sweet, and Anne was dark and mistirious.

  • @JaponLights

Mary did absolutly everything she was told by her father and uncle. She was just a way for their family to advance. I feel sorry for her.

  • mary didnt die at birth

she was banned from court and spent the rest of her life with william stafford with her children. She died in her early 40s

  • I thik she died circa 1543

  • thats not true. read up on your history.

  • ok wow i feel stupid.... hahaha no my friend was telling me about some article she read that was about mary bolelyn, and knowing my friend she believes everything she reads and i believe everything i hear.... sorry for any confusion to anyone if they read my ''blonde'' comment

thanx 123killkill123 i really should read my history=)

  • I agree, Anne was my favorite queen as well. Although, it is considered unlikely that she had an affair with her brother, most believe that she was killed so the king could find a new queen to give him a son. Also, historians do not believe that Henry fathered any of Mary's children. I like the book only for the drama of it, not the historical accuracy.

  • anne and ugly betty have the same necklace!

  • LOL!!!!

  • Genevieve Bujold was the best Anne EVER!!! Natalie's good too but she doesn't exactly fit the part completely. I think they could've casted a better Anne. I still love Natalie though.

  • yea

  • for me, the best anne boleyn is helena bonham carter.:)

  • Personally i dont kno y everyone hates anne she was personally my favorite queen everyone was just pissed cuz she was smarter than they were and wouldnt stop at nothing 2 get wat she wanted

  • ya i totally agree with u. I think Anne was the best Queen. she wasnt a oush over and she did whatever she could to become the Queen.

  • I agree with you and Anne is the fave Queen for most Tudor fans

  • go anne i gree with u guys 100 percent

  • I hate Anne

  • i went to see this with my aunt! it was swesome! at the part when her and her brother were gonna u know some one in the audience went ew! right out loud it was ssoooo funny!

then my aunt said talk about keepin it in the family

  • I went to see it with four of my friends and they thought that it was cool. My mom thought it would be too much since it was PG-13, but my dad persuaded her to let us see it.

  • wasn't it good though? i thought it was amusing and cool

  • It was awesome.

  • The best anne would have 2 be the one from anne of a thousand days....no one can top her she was amazing

  • cherries1878, RIGHT ON! That is the role that Genevieve Bujold, the actress that plays Anne Boleyn in "Anne of a Thousand Days" is known for. It is THE role that made her famous.

  • I agree--Bujold is my fave one too! Though I thought Portman did an excellent job as well, as seen in this clip, etc....especially at being the bitca she is in the book....thanks for posting this clip!

  • natalie was good in the film. you have to watch the whole thing..shes amazing towards the end! you cant tell from just one clip thats only a minute

  • better than Natalie Dormer? Have you seen the tudors? and previous actresses that played anne boleyn? Yeah...

  • "stole the king away"??

i swear it was mary before anne? not anne then mary then anne, which i got the impression from the trailer?

  • Natalie is so pretty and is a very good actress!!1

  • Please do yourself a favor and watch Genevieve Bujold in Anne of a Thousand Days (1969) or Dorothy Tutin's performance in Henry VIII and his six wives then come back and tell me who is the better actress playing the infamous and historical english figure ANNE BOLEYN!!!

  • I have seen it! They are both great actress! I just like Natalie a lot!!!! She is like my favorite actress!!!!!!

  • You must be a Millenium generation...It is not your fault, you just don't know any better actors/actresses of the past. You don't know Genevieve Bujold, Dorothy Tutin, even Merle Oberon. Why do you think Natalie Portman is so good? She never studied nor acted in Shakespeare (unlike Helen Mirren and other 1-2 time Oscar winners) or bother to improve her acting chops. Boring, stale, unnatural Sophia Copolla-like acting. God, get a life.

  • I have no idea where to fine Anne of a Thousand Days! I've been looking for it forever.

  • Anne of a Thousand Days is available on Amazon. A 2-for-1 deal with Anne of a Thousand Days and Mary Queen of Scots. I tried to include the link here but wouldn't take it.

  • I have the DVD's. Mary Queen of Scots was awesome.

  • Yeah, I definitely need to get my hands on that, I only have the VHS right now...

  • PORTMĄN THAT TIMES THIS UNFORGETTABLE TIMES.. JEWISH USURY FOR WHICH they SPLIT YOU IN FACE ,LIKE JEWS EARIEL CHRIST.....

  • um r u serious - natalie can absolutely act u obviously haven't seen the movie .

  • Natalie can act!! she's really good but you probably haven't SEEn the movie so you wouldn't KNOW

  • Don't need too, I already seen many of her crappy films like Closer and V for Vendetta. Just hearing her crappy british accent in this previews make me want to hurl.

  • It may be crappy but at least she's getting millions for it(: So obviously someone must find some talent in her, other wise why would they keep hiring her?(: But I see what your saying, we watched the Genevieve Bujold in Anne of a Thousand Days in English class today and it was awsome. Honestly its most likely to be more accurate than this film.

  • It's Hollywood. She gets paid 'millions' not because she is talented. She has 'connections' is only mildly talented and skinny, sexy and doesn't mind to shave off her head and look like a concentration camp prisoner and dress like a stripper. That is why she is getting paid the millions. I like British acting/actors b/c they work HARD in their craft, they grow as actors, have lots of discipline and they don't do acting solely for the fame, celebrity and money unlike American actors here.

  • Hey. Don't knock American actors. There are some that work very hard at what they do.

  • this film was based on a novel that was not supposed to be accurate.

  • I think you're a bit harsh. She's honestly one of the better actresses in young Hollywood presently even if she was serious crap in Star Wars.

  • no I am not harsh. I am plain honest. She can't act man. You know how you can tell? Who does she star with in a film? Has she been starring with major league actors who are two time oscar winners? NO. NO. No. Julia Roberts and Cate Blanchett on the other hand are in a different league than she is. SHE DOESN'T HAVE THE RANGE! Take an acting course yourself or go and see a play in london or go to RADA then you will know what I am talking about. SHE IS OVERRATED, ask any one with half a brain.

  • She does a good job, but i think helena bonham carter played the best anne boleyn, but natile dormer is too pretty to be anne boleyn, at least natile portman is unusual looking (she is still gorgeous)

  • oh okay ArcheryChat, I guess you have to look exotic looking in order to be a star and make 5 million a film. haha...love Hollywood

  • No the best anne boleyn is genevive bujold hands down

  • She may not be a favorite actress but she isn't completely horrible either. Granted, I don't care for her that much but it is a person's opinion. I agree with ArcheryChat when he/she says Helena Bonham Carter was the better of the two. I prefer Helena anyday.. but I assume she is too old to play Anne anymore. Anyway.. I liked Mary better then Anne. It sounded as if Scarlett was much better at the english accent then Natalie was. That I will agree with. Again, this is also one person's opinion.

  • @hollywooddarling,

She was actually extremely decent in Star Wars. She made Padme into a lovable and memorable character.

  • See, with this clip alone, can't you all see that Natalie cannot act? Scarlett can but Natalie can't. WAKE UP PEOPLE and smell the f&&^ roses!!!

  • Ohh...well if you mean sex scenes, yes scarlett is a great actress. But Natalie can act. She just isn't right for the role of a caniving whore.

  • really??? She can act like Dorothy Tutin? Genevieve Bujold? Charlotte Rampling? Even Natalie Dormer who plays Anne Boleyn now in the Tudors on Showtime?

Wow...if you think that Natalie can act, then I think Kevin Costner is a brilliant actor too...Christ
