  • SAINTS!

  • I never knew that the this music video had sport fails.

  • Why does the drummer need 2 gongs?

  • I love that argument at 1:37, just screaming at each other literally nose-to-nose.

  • First ever Sports Fail Montage :P

    Great music tho :D

  • Even the band is dancing around, love it !!

  • I like the song too, but I also think the sports video is a poor choice too

  • Sorry, but sports moments aren't a good choice to represent this song.

Much prefer the original version with the street performer in the London Underground.

  • anyone else having problems with some of the songs buffering (that usually don't) and others not (that usually do)?

  • what did you record this with an hd toaster

  • Still one of the best music videos ever!

  • this was my first favorite song. I love how ridiculously large the drum set is. It's a pretty funny when paired next to the guy with only a tambourine.

  • I've watched this 80 times in a month since I found it. Laugh every time!

  • Such out of the mainstream music that Mark came up with. Absolutey love it.

  • ♪Woo-hoo-hoo!♪

  • "HD Music Video" ...

    I look down, and there's only 240p.

Then I listen to the music, and stop caring about that.

  • This is not the original video of this song. The video of the sports action is great, but has nothing to do with the story line in the song. I have seen the original in which "Johnny" looks like he is playing "1950s" rock-n-Roll in the London Tubes. Anyone know where we can find the original? Thanks.

  • Man, I hear this song all the time at the store I work at. It sounds so much better without all the background noise of people shopping!

  • This song and this video are just too much FUN!

  • isthisarealmusicvideo?isthisarealmusicvideo?isthisarealmusicvideo?isthisarealmuscivideo?

  • Don't know just why but I totally love this song. I am usually a gospel, country music person but this song I listen to a lot.

  • My next door neighbor, Wayne Elliottness Kendricks, alias sir Duke of Twirl, is twirling two basketballs while dancing! Honest! He once travelled with Meadowlark Lemon's Bucketeer!

  • My favorite part of the video is when the player from the San Antonio Spurs gets ballfaked right off the screen at 2:52. I bust out laughing every time i see that!!

  • Great song,,,,,great video. Love the umpire at 2'18

  • Love the part at 2:54 he ump got his LOL am sure lotta players wana do that . at aleast once in their life.

  • my grandfather loved this , he was a big sports fan. miss you gramps

  • i like this music and video too, is very good for me

  • haha it's a mystery how anyone could possibly dislike this song

  • @matt1163544 I think I solved the mystery... the people who dislike this song are probably fans of Bieber. XD

  • I hate bringing back memories and knowing that you can never re-live them again :(

  • of coarse the guy who triped played for the orioles!!!

such a not fail video full of fails, best kind of videos!

  • JACK SONNIIIIIIIII

  • Tele's are some cool guitars.

  • The sports foul ups are as good as the music.

  • @SirDeanosity Yes the Bloopers are good, but so were the dances and celebrations after a touchdown. My goodness, when did NFL start meaning "No Fun League"???

  • This is an example of what I would call great 80s rock. It's rolling from start to finish. No breaks. BTW, the most MLB clips you'll see on Youtube.

  • 2:01 - Steve Jobs?? ))

  • This song reminds me of my dad, he used to listen to this when I was a little girl....makes me miss him. Awesome tune though!

  • Happy b-day Mark Knopfer!

  • is that berry sanders? lol back when detroit was awesome!!

  • @chronic1284 No that was Billy Sims

  • I maintain that this song is about partying.

  • LUUUUUUUUUUUUV IT

  • Hey bunghole sorry to burst your li'l bubble but practically no music made during the 1980's was for the sake of anything but the almighty dollar or conditioning the youth to adhere to certain emotional characteristics. If you ever wonder why Americans today are more whiney, emotional, pitying, self-absorbed, its because of music made during the 1980's.

  • @rvbgntz

    LOLGOLISTENTOYOURJUSTINBIEBERNEWFAG

    Supbrah

  • @rvbgntz Dude what 80's were you in? Americans are whinier today because most of them are being raised bye single women that let them whine, bitch, and moan. Most kids don't have a decent male role model to tell them to stop feeling sorry for themselves, and put a boot in their ass when they need it. 80 music had nothing to do with it. Send me a list of ten top ten popular songs that proves your point and I'll change my mind.

  • got chills/goosebumps at 1:29 for some reason.

  • @ProductionsHead I saw that play unfold live years ago. Haha. Yeah is chill worthy.

  • Lol i love when Beavis and Butthead overdub this XD

  • Hey, Sire. You were the one that actually got me listening to this song when you played it in the grocery store that day. (I'm still a mess with vinegar running through my veins)

  • That dragon at the end's pretty cool.

  • This song will always remind me of my grandfather, who passed away when I was six. He was my best friend when I was a little girl and I miss him so much. I remember he loved this song and we would listen to it together. I miss you Papa Ed!

  • @TheBibliophile13 awwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • "after all the violence and double talk" Pops, you smart motherfucker. FORSIGHT!

  • If I was a baseball player, this would totally be my at-bat music. :3 Love this song forever :D

  • I miss the Houston Oilers

  • How can anybody dislike this video and song? Jon Green at WTMJ radio in Milwaukee (a news station at the time) played this song a half-dozen times on the Friday of the week the song was released, he loved it so much (especially the yoo-hoos). A great sound from 1982.

  • 43 people dislike this video

  • 43 people never took the "walk of life'...

  • it aint Walk Of Life without the red telecaster :)

  • this is when I discover MTV!!

  • When I got my first boom box. This is the song the guy played for me to demo it at Circuit city.

  • See now that is how sports should be played today still none of this bullshit hit the qb get penalties and all these bullshit calls let them play smash mouth like it was back then

  • I would always hear this song in Benchwarmers :)

  • I love these dudes and their headbands.

  • coaches r so proud

  • Thumbs up for the black guy spinning the basketballs at 0:44

  • @Guns4L1fe That a'int spinnin'....it really isn't/. It's not on his fingers, it's around them.

  • Presteroid Roger Clemens at 1:17!

  • I was born in 1990 and I always loved to hear this song as a child, still brings back memories till this day.

  • How come we can't have music like this from the '80's. Song then had meaning and no crappy rap( sorry to offend anyone one who likes rap) but made people want to sing along and actually understand the words being sung. Need more artist today who remember what music is all about that can reach out to people

  • @smroadrunner Lol almost every single 80s music video seems to be lamenting the music of today, looking to the 80s as if they were perfect! The grass is always greener on the other side, they say; if you think the music of today sucks maybe you're not looking in the right places.

  • This is awesome! It's the first time I've seen it, and it's great! Thanks to Ed Ackerman for bringing it to our attention! :D

  • Great video, awesome song!!!! I miss the 80's =(

  • really really like this video guaranteed to give a boost thank you guys

  • 40 people committed suicide

  • best music video EVER !

  • Some music is just touched by god or something.... Stuff like this never dies...

  • Comment removed

  • Sometimes we can catch a glimpse of the truth in nature thru some of the oldies in our music libraries. Todays music just doesn't have the same meaning or beat or anything really

  • Great Sports clips, and a bare foot guitar player. Has there been another video made that is this awesome?

  • The CIA should find the 40 people who hit 'dislike' and investigate them for possible ties to al-Qaeda.

  • @baconstud01 I am Muslim, and your comment offended me. It was totally uncalled for.

  • @nimrose not all muslims are terrorists. but all terrorists are muslim

  • @bigpimpdaddy69 still one and the same...doesn't make any difference. :P

  • @baconstud01 they may also be nazis too. i heard there might a few of those still walking around now a days.

  • Love this song!

  • Is it Michael Jordan in 3:16?

  • @metallicacha I think that is M J

  • @metallicacha - It sure is. That's one of his most famous dunks.

  • @metallicacha yep

  • @guitarbob21 You were born in 97? I graduated from highschool in 97'. We thought the same thing. Let me tell you one thing, you're on the right track! Keep listening to what you love, and go with your heart and you won't be disappointed (most of the time).. :)

  • @DyNaMisWeApOn You just have to know where to look for music...

  • @DyNaMisWeApOn thats the story of my life.

  • I MISS THE OLD DAYS

  • @BartsBeatz Me too!!!

  • @BartsBeatz Which old days?

  • @epicfreakloser The 80's

  • Man, those were the days. Great music and great sports

  • On Shaun of the dead they throw a Dire straits Record at a Zombie and I die a little inside every time I see it

  • I was born in '74, so I knew it when I was a kid. I always thought it was clever how they made a connection between this song and baseball/basketball/football.

  • i was born alittle before this but my dad taught me this one of the greatest bands of all time and i agree!!

  • 40 dislikes - must be all non sports fans that dont listen to great music.

  • I was born in '95, yet I love music that was made for the sake of music, rather than the crap made to get famous. I like this song in particular because it's about living your life to the best that you can, without mentioning drugs, alcohol, ot sex, 3 things that seem to be a must for modern music.

  • @TotalBunghole Interesting comment which is contradicted by your name. :)

  • @cywyhot Music and sitcoms are two completely different things, pal.

  • @TotalBunghole

you got it right pure bliss can play

  • @TotalBunghole true that dude!

  • @TotalBunghole me too :)

  • @TotalBunghole Say you like music for the sake of music? Check out the Travelling Wilburys. George Harrison( The Beatles) , Tom Petty( and the Heartbreakers), Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne(ELO) and Roy Orbison.

  • @TotalBunghole Very perceptive of you. You are true.

  • @TotalBunghole

I wasn't even born in the 90s, I was born in 2000, And If I were born in 1995, I would listen to FAR more than 10 years out of generation.

  • @TotalBunghole You're too young to even be on youtube... go home to your mommy

  • @TotalBunghole Old music mentioned sex, drugs, and alcohol too. It's just that they did so in a more elegant and poetically hedonistic way.

  • anybody notice at 0:19, that guy doesnt give knoplfer a hi-five? he just left him hanging
