  • zeppelin covered this song too

  • Thats a trip

  • they couldn't get a guitar? lmao

  • My prayers go out to all those affected by the flooding along the Mississippi.

  • This song was written by Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy in 1929 after the reaction to the Louisiana floods of 1927. Many artists have covered this song. Zepplin is just one of them. One of my favorite versions of this is by John Campbell.

If you live in South Louisiana, this song has a deep personal meaning. We all know what it means to have a levee break.

  • That was awesome! Amazing trombone work. Can't wait to see them live next week.

  • this was terrible just terrible i couldn't even take this for 2 minutes

  • @bglasss Nobody wants to hear a bunch of trombones? Read the comments below, dude.

  • Bonerama is a bitchin band. Saw them at Jazz Fest 2010. The enormity of their sound gives you permanent goosebumps.

They played with Better Than Ezra as well. I was a little disappointed and surprised they didnt play "At Ch. Degaulle" but were great nonetheless.

  • I will never again tell that joke about "paying for the pizza" to get the trombone player off the front porch.

  • Great.

  • Hey, so this is amazing! =D

  • I've never heard distortion/flange on a trombone

    that's pretty (extremely) gnarly

  • wicked!

  • INCREDIBLE!!! I've got a brass band in Melbourne, Australia thinking about doing an album cover show of Led Zep IV later this year... if we could sound even half as bitchin' as you guys I'd be stoked.

  • this makes me want to immediately buy a clip on mic and start throwing effects on my bone in my band

  • really cool!! absolutely love this!!!

  • good job. thanks for posting.,.

  • fucking incredible

  • The cross is part of the Jaegermeister trademark. Jaegermeister was the sponsor that paid for the stage. It has nothing to do with the theological views of the band, whatever they may be.

  • what the hell are you talking about?

  • The reason you are lost is because you are turning your subjective "dark sound" asessment into an objective certainty. The intent benind the sound is probably more important than what the music 'sounds like it intends'.

    Oh, BTW, this rocks.

  • you think this is dark and evil sounding? wow you need to get your ears checked. just because its down tempo does not mean its dark and evil

  • iNcrediBle....

  • I saw Bonerama play at Lancaster's Longs Park on June 14 and was completely blown away by their version of When The Levee Breaks.
