Brad Nowell and Kurt Cobain in my opinion were the most talented musicians of the 90's. That's saying a lot because the 90's had A LOT of amazing musicians.
@droja19 Im sorry...but i think if anybody tried to compare Bradley to Marley...i wouldnt say all the way but it comes close.... Bradley earned it...hes a musical genius, who mixed a shit load of stylees/genres together and is a huge influence on many artist and average joe people still at 15 years later. so please don't refer to him as "this guy"
@FrankieGgoes yeah men, thats very true...im a huge fan of sublime and i respect their music, and you said it right "this guy" is not the proper way to recognise a great artist like bradley, but, all im saying is that bradley is an employer of this great reggae music factory and robert is the boss haha yeea
Early showing of Sublime's talent. Their music is the best I've ever heard. Especially their less mainstream stuff, mostly bootlegs and forbidden tapes.
I saw sublime play in a backyard in Long Beach a few times when I was about 14. Bradley's voice was just ridiculous, still can't believe that sound and poetry came out of this normal looking guy.
I remember joint's of mexicali rolled in toilet paper squares for $1...
they pulled together all types of punks, reggae, dead heads, skaters, white, black, whatever... in Long Beach, most of us didn't know we weren't supposed to get along.
Sux so bad this guy isn't around anymore. He is a legend like Bob Marley. He would be soo happy to see how everyone adores his music. I don't know anyone that doesn't know of this band. I have been listening to this dude since the 9th grade. I am 31 yrs old and still listen to their music. I even go and watch Badfish play (The only tribute band that I know of that makes a living playing someone else's music.) Sublime-yup! They're legends. Just like Bob! Notice 0 dislikes, and over 34k views.
@djkells3 I agree with the list accept that I would swap Maynard James Keenan for Kurt Cobain. Only for the fact Kurt literally was the biggest impact on changing the genre of music, second to the beatles of course. Tom petty and many artist agree that Nirvana was the biggest thing since the beatles. So in short, to leave kurt cobain out of the list you created seems like a car missing the engine.
i wonder if my uncle was at this party hes an lbc old school he supposedly went to high school with bradley and used to go to nirvana and sublime shows, but my uncle also smokes more weed and cracks more brews than anyone i know in the lbc too lol.
who are you to even say that? He liked H more than he liked his kid? Wow
first off, he was addicted. do you know what an addiction is? He wanted nothing more than to have a wife and family. He was clean and sober when he died. He relapsed.
