  • as a non-native woman,my heart breaks from the genocide.......please forgive those that came before me! My mother came here from Sweden to escape the genocide of the nazi's.....it's time to stop the hate and be te relatives that Creator put us here to be

  • I shared this Truth with my dutch friend and relatives. Everyone have to know and see and learn

  • Very good.. 1thing that was not part of this Doc. is our diet part of our health and culture is we need to learn about food and how we lack proper nutrition the real Indian food

  • A thousand thank yous. It will be an honor to share this healing work.

  • I am andrew and I am here listening to every account and i will not leave until every accont is in my ear reclaiming indiginous voice and vision is really importatnt not for one moment do i thing the same stories can not be recounted before because they can

  • Thank you for this. My wife and I watched this and the film was correct when it stated that many people had little or no knowledge of these events. I felt a little ill at the beginning when 'Manifest Destiny' was talked about. I remember being taught that Manifest Destiny was a good thing, God given, it was our right. As whites we were not told of the genocide, at least when I was in school in the 70's and 80's. I am so hopeful that the truth becomes known and that the healing continues.

  • I watched this today & cried for the innocent abused children! My maternal grandmother attended boarding school but wouldn't let any of her children go. She never said why & never talked about it. I attended boarding school & found it to be some of the best years of my life! I was not abused in any way. I was lonesome at times but overall, I found my time at boarding school to be positive. When my children became high school age, I couldn't let them go because I would miss them too much.

  • This is the most unadorned, potent account of this horror I've ever seen; my heart is aching. This should be required viewing in every school in America to awaken understanding in the minds of people whose lives have been so safe, so secure that they can't conceive of something like this happening. This isn't ancient history! It continued in MY LIFETIME. Thank you for recording this; it can't have been easy for any of you. That these people survived at all shows incredible strength and courage.

  • We're in a new era now. Why not petition to close all boarding schools? No excuses. There have been too many made already.

  • THANK YOU! I am an Undocumented Adopted Navajo, adopted out of the tribe in 1971 without consent from my blood relatives.

My mother Linda Carolyn Kirk attended a boarding school in Oklahoma the N.A.R.A. makes it difficult to access these records

  • I too was abused in my adopted home, my brothers raped by our mom. I was molested them my brothers and beaton by my adopted mom becouse I believe I was pretty and my hair would be cut off and I would be slapped and spanked with belts and slugged with my moms fist into my stomach. I was slapped every time I washed the dishes for not get the bubbles completely off. My older brother was bleacched. I went to DSS for help I was sent to phyc ward for suicide which was a lie. I took to drinking.

  • I live close by carlise and have seen the graves of children from many different tribes siting by a sidewalk fenced in. I have to say it was so hard to not cry or walk in there and tell them off about this. It's very sad what happened and I hope we can learn from this. TOOOO sad :(

  • I am not Native American, at least not that I know of, but in watching this film I was moved to tears.. this film highlights the horror of the boarding schools, something I knew about but not to this degree. It also shows the danger of government programs that are used to disenfranchise people, weather they are African American, Native Americans, in the past or just the poor like we are doing now...if we don't learn from this history, we are bound to repeat it.

  • Least we ever forget that the least of us in the eyes of others, always go first, and then it's our turn......we must remember and speak the story ....recognize, acknowledge, forgive and change. This documentary is, for me, beyond words on so many levels. My heart is deeply moved and changed forever by the people and the courage of their telling. Much gratitude for the documentary and I commit to continue to share it on going. Thank you.

  • Amazing, heart wrenching. A story that needs to be told - you dit it well.

  • thank you, just thank you.

  • This is SOOOOO important for our People to watch, to understand, to really heal as a people and become one with the Seen and Unseen Worlds again. I fully and completely agree with your message. I wish I were able to do more to get the word out, but will continue to repost this in hopes that more people will see it!

  • I first became involved in White Bison & the Wellbriety Movement in 2004. I find the Message they present transcend Traditional Teachings of our individual bands/tribes/nations and compliment them perfectly. I wish they had more activity here in Canada.

Greetings from Dokis First Nation, Northern Ontario, Canada.

  • i watched this in class today and it was a very sad and educational film i was and still am lost for words to describe it but i can say it is definitely worth watching!
