I want to know how these compare with the Bose AE2 headphones? I like the AE2's, but they are $100 more. Also, I have a shaved head and wonder if the metal band would be uncomfortable? Do you have any bald friends that could try them on for me? Ha! Ha!
@Timpala44 Might feel a bit cold on your head, but they are very comfortable (In my opinion...) These sound very good too for the price, However these don't isolate and they leak a bit. I would go for the Sennheiser HD280 or the AKG K518 DJ if you want good sound and good isolation. Bose makes nice headphones but they are way too overpriced.
@borismontoya136 I just bought the Portapros. So far, I like them. They are perfect while taking the dog for walks. They are light enough for those hot days & they fit under my stocking hat for those cold days. I think they sound great too.
If you want a nice pair of Koss headphones I would say upgrade to the Pro DJ 100's well worth it sound is in parallel to any headphones under 300 sound is very crisp you can hear things you've never heard in your music before
@justinyoface911 I dont think they can break TOO easily, but in case it does it comes with a lifetime warranty i think. I'm buying myself a pair tomorrow =)
I went thru 3 pairs of these because: 1. the cable kept breaking at the slightest jerking ...and 2. they were the best sounding headphones by a light year .. before the days of digital .. nowadays I'd probably get them for sentimental value AND they cost less than the $50 I paid back in the 80's !!
Nice unboxing, really looking forward to the review. I know CNET raves about these how they keep the retro look but still perform amazingly for the price. Not a big fan of that style of just on ear, but if they sound good I may have to check them out.
Listen to this song while having this on your head:

these are the best headphones in the sub 50 dollar headphones,
in fact they are most likely the best in the sub 150 category.
if you care about sound. and not shitty colors like a 12 year old
get portapros
