"F-1 World Grand Prix II" was never released in the United States, which is a great shame. Did you know this game series actually started in 1991 only in Japan? Three extra iterations followed for the Super Famicom. We NEVER got any of those for the SNES here. So this is all the US EVER gotten from Videosystem from this long-running series. Terrible shame. All I can say (though I did a video on this game recently) is to play this game if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed. Trust me.

i remember when i asked for f197 for xmas. i was disappointed when i opened my presents on xmas day and i got this. i started playing it and i couldn't stop. this game is awesome. I always used frentzen.

If it weren't for this game, I wouldn't have gotten into Formula 1. I always picked Michael Schumacher in this game while my older brother usually picked Mika Hakkinen (guess who got the better of this deal in real life?). By the way, this game was fantastic. Almost everything was amazing about this game. Maybe the music was give-or-take. It was engaging and challenging. I had this game until someone stole my N64 games. A must-play racing game, hands down.

This is a great game, but the F-1 World Grand Prix II was even better. I think in that time it was best formula game in any console. And it was Nintendo 64!

This was a deeply bad game. Terribly unrealistic and overly finicky handling, cheating AI, ridiculous pit stops, poor sound and sloppy graphics made it vastly inferior to F1 '97, which was older and yet used the same season.

F1 97's graphics were exactly the same as the previous Formula 1 game by Psygnosis released in 1996, and indeed it had awful pop up.

I agree about F1 97 it's amazing in terms of gameplay,

trail braking actually helps in it unlike here. Why do the times only go to the nearest hundredth?

The pop up isn't a problem really, if you know the tracks, I still play it regularly to this day.
