I recall the Classic Toy Train article; you did a nice job on reproducing the layout. Alot of attention to detail. It must have took awhile to find all the accessories.
Thank you. There was a boxed set that the dealers would use that had all the accessories with it. I actually had the set, then built the display after reading the article.
Ya gotta love those New York Central Pacemaker boxcars! My mother was the Pacemaker rep for NYC in Niagara Falls NY back in the day. Just part of the family business.
Thank you. I do not know how to do any of the fancy editing, but these little videos are a great way of sharing my trains with everyone no matter how far away.
Would that be the CTT issue where they found a boxed display set in an abandoned house. I wish I could be that lucky. The paint looks like textured paint on the original display did you replicate that?
There were two articles in CTT. The one you reference was November 2006, another was January 1997. I did find a textured paint that looks very close to the original. I got it at Michaels Art & Craft, but the no longer have it in that color. I believe it was made by Plasticoat.
Thank you for the compliment. This had been a goal for a few years after seeing a CTT article. Took some time to accumulate the correct accessories and info to make it accurate.
