Wouldn't it be best to screw the offset to the shoulder rig and then put the quick release on the off set? That way if you need to go from rig to rig in a pinch, you don't need to unscrew the camera from the offset, just use the quick release.
@sk8ersick666 Yeah, I actually had in mind to do that, but this does the same thing - the idea there was to have the ability to quickly move back and forth from shoulder to tripod mounted. This does that too, only the camera is off-set on the tripod as well, but still the functionality is the same. I will eventually (when I can figure out a way to use the receiving end if the my newer velbon quick release plate on that shoulder mount), do it properly, but as for now, it works. Thanks!
Have you considered purchasing a second cb-105 for the other shoulder and joining them together with the aluminum bar you have?
