  • we want Summonig 2012 right now !!!

  • I would make it to the far away Lonely Mountain. I would live the ultimate Adventure. I would wear mithril. Thorin, take me with you!

  • I get serious shivers listening to this, down my back. This song is deep especially if you have read the Silmarillion , LOTR, The Hobbit, History of Middle Earth, the glory of Valinor and the elves, ancestors of Numenor, ancient glorious battles, the forces of good against evil.

  • One summoning to rull them all!

  • This song reminds me of my childhood. It takes me back to the time when I read the Hobbit for the very first time. It was in Chapter 3, when Bilbo gets his first glimpse of the Misty Mountains. After they rest at the Last Homely House, it is at this point I am wondering about what will be in store for the rest of the book, and wondering if it will be good. Rest is history of course.

  • i can't live without fantasy

  • @81Szczery me too

  • Far away Lonely Mountain its dark head in torn cloud.

The all seeing eye of the Evil One. Awaiting

For the dawn of a new age is about to begin

and who shall be able to stand.

  • The Hobbit cartoon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Peter Jackson's trilogy, true story. Summoning rules btw

  • THE ADVENTURE STARTS, MY FRIEND, OFF WE GO !

  • I love this book...

  • . . .

"It is even as Ulmo spoke to me," said Tuor: "The springs are poisoned, and my power withdraws from the waters of the land."

  • What would be the best is if they used this (or any of the many mighty Summoning tracks) for the upcoming Hobbit film..i mean, no other musical exploits (BM or otherwise) in our known universe have so perfectly captured the beauty, the brutality & and the sheer, vast, epic(in its TRUE meaning) nature of Middle Earth..than these two fuckers.

Hail the ethereal, insurmountable citadel of Summoning, who's spell hath manifested a glint in mine eye, a fire in mine heart, and a sheen on mine blade.

  • Thorin Eichenschild - Thrains Sohnes Sohn , König unter dem Berge

...und rechtmäßiger besitzer des Arkensteins vom Einsamen berg

  • Respect.

  • I love how they used text from the book as lyrics.

    Best idea ever.

  • that melody that comes in in a few minutes is so good man. Arguably Summoning's finest moment.

  • sooo relaxinggggggggg, i love this. even chuck norris could be neutralized by this.

  • 2:55 Total Epic !

  • 4 people haven't seen the arcenstone

  • The word that comes to mind when I listen to this song is... Medieval.

  • bilbo betrayed thorin :'(

  • Needless to say Summoning raised yet again the bar for epic...

  • THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME.....EPIC BRILLIANCE

  • Far away, the Lonely Mountain, dark head torn in a cloud....

  • feel like going on a journey to find Valinor

  • masterpiece indeed

  • wasnt Orcrist that sword Frodo used in lord of the rings?

  • @gunnari14 No. That sword (or dagger, as it was) was called Sting and Frodo inherited it from Bilbo who had found it during his adventures in The Hobbit.

  • @Mountandblandefan yea but didnt bilbo gave that name to the sword himself?

  • @gunnari14 Perhaps. But nevertheless, Orcrist was the sword wielded by Thorin in The Hobbit. I think I recall Tolkien saying that Sting was shorter than Orcrist, pointing out that they indeed were different weapons.

That being said, it might be noted that Thorin never gave Orcrist to Bilbo since it was placed in his tomb after he had died in the Battle of the Five Armies.

Gosh, I feel like such a lotr-geek now...

  • @Mountandblandefan oh yeah, I guess bilbo found the sword himself from the mountain where those orcs were. or I dunno. and you cant be too lotr-geek, because tolkiens creations are awesome

  • @gunnari14 I think Bilbo actually found it before that - in the caves where the troll had their lair.

I gotta read the book again. Or just watch the movie from 1977. Lots better than the lotr-trilogy. ^^

  • @Mountandblandefan what movie from 1977 are u talkin about and i dont think its better than trilogy they gained 2 billions or more $

  • @khav11 If you haven't seen it, how do you know that the Motion Picture Trilogy was better? Also, who is to say that a movie which gained more dollars is better? I still think the original Dracula and Psycho are far better than, say, 2012 (which IMHO wasn't good at all), which probably gained way more money.

And needless to say, the value of money changes as well. With 2 billion dollars you could probably have bought all of America a hundred years ago.

  • @Mountandblandefan dude come on lord of the ring trilogy was a pure success. show me the movie ur referring to but ill give you this the books are better than the movies tolkien is the best author that ever lived

  • @khav11 Okay, yeah the books are definitely the best. For the movie you can just search for "Lord of the Rings (1977)". Prepare to laugh ^^

And of course, the Motion Picture version was waaaay better than one would have expected, I'll give you that.

  • @Mountandblandefan case closed.

this song is ridiculously epic .

  • @Mountandblandefan you must be kiding. its absolute crap LOl

  • @khav11 It wasn't good in a traditional sense. It's totally awesome if you wanna watch a comedy :D

  • The mellotron-like strings are absolutely awesome

  • So many memories... so many feelings... I can't describe it... this isn't music... it's magic.

  • просто ахуенно

  • i lived too much without summoning

  • balsam on my soul

  • What is an arcenstone ?

  • @fgireirihjert11 The heart of the lonely mountain, Thorins masterpiece, the brightest of all diamonds.

  • @Scorch1zl33t Oh thanks a lot :)

  • Imagine if a mountain had a heart...

Imagine you and your ancestors spending most of their lives in stone cities beneath mountains...

Imagine what the Arkenstone meant to the Dwarves...

  • Just finished the Hobbit -book. This song creates mixed feelings in me. Great song and fits perfectly into the story. :)

  • this is a beautiful piece of musical perfection

  • I too get tears in my eyes when I hear "Did you see the Arkenstone?".

  • "It was like a gloom"

    what is a gloom?

  • Never mind the song wasn't transcribed correctly

The correct rendition is "It was like a GLOBE, with a thousand facets ..."

  • we dont need movie. summoning and BBC is good enough

  • just great. one of the best pieces of summoning

Steven Seagal did. This was background music for one of his pornographic films.

  • These guys are very special. Respect!

  • Lost tales!!!!!!EEEEEEEPIC!!!!!

  • Can't wait to see The Hobbit in the theatres. I do so hope that Ian Holm plays Bilbo, but he is probably too old. I want to see how the director depicts the Arkenstone. And, gods, I hope they don't butcher the story like the idiot who made LOTR did.

  • There's goonna be a Hobbit movie?!

  • No its from the bbc audiobook of the hobbit, its really good.

  • Yeah, i know (i've heard it).

But they are making a Hobbit movie. Theres gonna be three movies about Bilbo. Like the series of LOTR.

  • 3 movies? Be a bit strange, wonder how they're going to split the hobbit, sure to be awesome though.

  • The first one is taking place before the actual book.

The second will probaly be some of the journey, and the third would be the end of the journey :P.

  • Sweet, thanks for the info

  • No probs ;)

  • i'm pretty sure that it's two movies...

  • Im pretty sure its 3 :P

  • It's the heirloom(fictional) of Thorin's family, and is probably worth as much as the entire treasure itself. BIlbo used it to try and ensure a treaty among the lakemen/mirkwood elves and Thorin/Dain.

  • good work

  • What a Masterpiece!

  • This is so good.. I get tears in my eyes after the voice says "did you see the Arkenstone?"

  • i second the statement, no matter how many times i hear it, it never loses its effect

  • indeed

  • Es ist der Arkenstein. Bilbo findet ihn in der Höhle von Smaug. es ist ein erbstück der zwerge, er gehörte einst Thráin.

  • All Hail the Protector

  • and hail silenius

  • one of the most excellent masterpieces of summoning! when listening to this song, i forget about the whole universe of this real world and just swim in that great ocean of tolkien's realms... i know i'll be there when my time has come to pass away

  • awesome

  • wow, beautiful. it sounds like a song from Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, or any other RPG game. wonderful.

  • beautiful

  • niceeee

  • isn't Arkenstone?, this is awesome band btw

  • the proper spelling is Arkenstone, but Protector, probably, wrote it with "c". Could be a spelling mistake, but who cares.

    Hail Summoning \m/

  • They came not from above for some reason, but from below!!! Te gatekeepers of the stone, holding the keys to the realms they were destined to keep. What an honour when youir given diadems of your ancestors, but wait, many new tribes formed by merging into stronger alliances. Are their differences in people when their blood was devided by mountain and earth, but in some instances. . . W A T E R

Would their crowns be justified? Who hold thier records?

  • Thanx for posting this exellent song!
