  • why wont western people do the same!!!!!!!

  • Donnie is usually on point when it comes to a fight scene. I don't remember the first movie of his I saw it was a long time ago, but I love to see him really throw down man.

Every time I see a good martial arts movie it reminds me of what these action movies today are missing. It's almost like they don't make'em anymore or something.

  • film same please

  • i love uncut version and with bloody scene!awesome

  • definitely one of my favourite actors

    donnie yen

  • Wish people would make better use of Wu Jing in movies while he's still in good physical condition: nearly 20 years in the biz and nearing 40....

  • @crystalis0324 He's a good fighter, just like Jet Li. He's multiple wu she champion. Unlike Jet li, however, he doesn't sport a protogonist look, that's why he's so often relegated to supporting role as it's easy to use special effects to make you look like a champ, but it'd be really difficult if not impossible if you don't look like what mainstream audiences expect from a protagonist, physical appearance wise.

  • @eatfastnoodle Hm...maybe it's because of the movies he's been in that he's so typecasted? Because I've been watching him in wuxia dramas for over a decade, and he's always been the sunny dispositioned, go-luck-happy good guy ^^: He's played every role Jet Li's ever played. It was actually weird for me that he kept being the antagonist in movies lol

  • This is not the way of the Wu Shu.

  • I like him IP MANS better movie & style

  • What is the name of the weapon Donnie Yen is using?

  • @MrFatalis123 I think it's just a metal baton.

  • 「自分の命などどうなってもいい…仲間たちの仇…仕返しするんだ、憎しみを増す、逆境を乗りきる、努力すればカッコよくなれるんだなぁ」…というか此処では強さが増してる!

  • For some reason that Wu Jing is my personal favorite actor since he does have alot in common with Jet Li, since both of them sometimes play the villains and sometimes they play as the hero which is quite interesting, because not all martial arts actors do play the same roles over and over. steven seagal however always the hero and never the villain, except for machete since that was the only film he was ever a villain.

  • this was not either one of their best

  • like a boss

  • yaao nice : )

  • What a bad directing for a martial arts movie.

  • FUCK , he had too choose his white clothes that day huh?

  • @shaolinshifu1 It makes the blood look interesting, just like Baccano!

  • Mother fucker got his shit tossed.

  • move along ppl. this just happens everyday in japan.

  • dumpert

  • Jing Wu plays all the bad guys now since he doesn't talk a whole lot, nor did he do a good job at being a good guy.

  • @DeStryke51 He doesn't talk a lot in some movie because like Jet Li, Jing is a Mainlander (Mainland Chinese) and speaking Cantonese is a little different than Mandarin. During his old movies, his voice is dubbed. Now, Jing can able to speak Cantonese enough to get around.

  • @DeStryke51 What do you mean? Fatal Contact? Shaolin?

  • @JacenCrazy It was fatal contact.

  • I love this fucking fight.

  • @DeStryke51 I know, right? No kidding!

  • after watching ip man, i can honestly say donnie is now one of my favorite martial artists

  • Ip MAN!!!!

  • After watching this film I can't watch hollywood actions without cringing at the lack of skill. Screw montage filming and slow motion, this is the real shit.

  • When Donnie Yen get 1st cut.. it like nothing to him .. wow

  • my macbook PRO cant even keep up with the speed lol

  • 3:55 , ARGHHH WTF DONNIE DON´T THROW YOUR JACKET AWAY LIKE THAT!!! I WANT THAT F*CKING JACKET!!!

  • 0:54 to 1:04 this is sparat xD

  • donnie yen would of lost if he was fighting chuck norris instead

  • Donnie Yen v Donny Osmond.

    Who would win?

  • Love the music.. sounds like its a remix of Prodigy's The Trick. Awesome fight scene too :D

  • 1:51 A little more accuracy and he would've cut Donnie's fingers off.

  • @MarxSoul55

    No chance.

  • @DooKTheFresh Baton.

  • That Gangster beat on the background makes you feel like this is ongoing business for students.

  • awesome this is the best, most intense baton and knife fight u'll ever see, wish thr is a behind the scenes for this scene i rly wanna see how they make.. haha donnie yen rocks i like the way he pose at 2:01

  • @Princ3Jojo I'ts Called "Steel Stick" Batons are made out of wood

  • @ZorrilloChun100 actually its called a expendable baton. or ASP after the company that made em

  • @Princ3Jojo while not technically behind the scenes there is a interview with him about his stunt choreography where he talks abt this scene extensively. its here on utube somewhere.

  • @Princ3Jojo

A behind the scene footage for this fight scene actually exists.

  • @Princ3Jojo In HK film like this one, they try to everything in one take with a lot of cameras in different angle because to save time. If they screw up the pattern they either have to start the entire scene or edit it.

  • chuck norris checks his closet for donnie yen?

  • pause at 0:40 , mute and play this instead Until the day I die -Story of the Year , ENJOY :)

  • i was gonna watch the full movie but now i know whos gonna die

  • @tonykilla88 Joking, no? There is more to the movie after this fight. Not to mention, it has a great story.

  • @xxadverbxx ight than i got a movie to watch than

  • @DooKNo1 Well, I could be cliche and use that, but why? ** Right Hook, left punch, right hook, KICK TO THE BALLS!! ** XD

  • @bhu4153 I did cos hey hu can fight like that and his face is so distinctive hu cant recognize is an idiot.

  • That alley is the one place in all of Hong Kong that has no people in it.

  • I dont want to hear bring me to life I want to hear the baton and the knife.

  • una de mis pelicula favoritas que pelea TAN RECHIMBA

  • Donnie Yen every day all day baby!

  • It's Jackie Wu Jing Not Jing Wu!

  • @ZorrilloChun100 This Hong Kong name convention is stupid.

  • Yo donnie is so ill!!! He's usin a popo baton and he's usin it lika a freakin sword!!

  • two really great martial artists, both were invited to the beijing wushu team in their younger years, thats proof of their talent !

  • 1:01 - 1:03 LMAO

  • Guns are for pussies. We need to go back to the time when fights were won by people with skill, not pussys hiding behind a weapon.

  • @brotato2

Killing people with guns do take skill. Its just a different kind of skill

  • @brotato2

but its not as hard as one on one melee weapons fighting thats for sure

  • @brotato2 we need to go back to a time where we still fight, lol ok

  • @n11lc2 We still do fight. Someones a dumbass.

  • @brotato2 i just find it funny someone's concerned enough about the skill a weapon takes that they wish guns never existed but don't mind "skillful" weapons existing

  • @n11lc2 And its even worse then swords. Guns kill more people.

  • I like how Donnie was like "fuck this. i don't need a weapon my hand'll do"

  • @midnyte802 Yeh he did better without the weapon lol.

  • DONNIE YEN IS DA MAN

  • 71 people were on wu jing's side

  • @iamsoawesome1234 What's wrong with being on wu jing's side! he's a talented martial artist and a great action actor. Plus, a good fight needs a good villain!

  • @centaclaws

wow i think u might have taken it a different way.YES wu jing is awesome!!HE'S THE BEST BAD GUYS I'VE EVER SEEN!!! all i meant by that was those people are mad he died in the end

  • donnie's face is the type of fighting while comedy type

  • not gonna happen

  • @DooKNo1 In Fearless, the scene before the final fight scenes was the one that really jumped out in my mind. If that scene was shot with live sound, then why did Jet Li's dialogue not match his mouth movement? Same thing with SPL. Sure, the actors did the dialogues themselves, but they recorded them in the studio after the scenes were actually filmed.

  • @DooKNo1 The Cantonese dialogues were also dubbed. Sometimes you can hardly tell it's dubbed. (The actor who played Ip Man's friend was particularly good) Other times it's really obvious.

  • @DooKNo1 Also, the soundtrack in this particular scene sounds pretty much like something from the movies I used to watch when I was a kid. The instrumentation and effects are still very similar. For example, I'm pretty sure I've heard the organ-like sound at 1:30 countless times in various Hong Kong movies, and it just sounds cheesy to me, like 80's synth or something.

  • @DooKNo1 I watched some of this movie, the dialogues were dubbed. I watched Ip Man, the dialogues were dubbed. Flashpoint had a lot of dubbed dialogues. Infernal Affair had some dubbed dialogues. Fearless had dubbed dialogues, often during quiet scenes where the only sound is the characters talking, which makes it even more jarring. All of these movies were made post 1997. I haven't seen many Hong Kong movies in recent years, but I did see a lot of them during my childhood.

  • @DooKNo1 IDK. I really don't like how eveything's dubbed over.I watched Ip Man last night, and again, all of the dialogues were dubbed afterwards. It just felt really jarring. Also, the soundtrack just sound really cheesy to me. Hong Kong action movies always seem to have that kind of cheesy soundtrack.

  • damn imagen this you trained kungfu for your whole life you a such a beat and then you just die and have to start all over in your next live damn that sux

  • IP MAN would destroy this guy in seconds...

  • Wu Jing's face is so small in this scene.

  • 3:36

    FINISH HIM!

  • Similar to donnie yen..

    Nikola Despoja

    Check him out...

  • wujing 吳京 deserves credits for this fight. Beautiful move.

  • FATALITY

    DONNIE YEN WINS

  • It pains me to see how horrible the audio still is in so many Hong Kong action movies.

  • woo hoo bushido

  • was it me or 2:47 to 2:51!!!!TIGHT!!!

  • In fact,I prefer Wu than Donnie Yen。。

  • A fully loaded clip would've settled this a lot faster. But not, I admit, as badass

  • does any body know what the song in the background is called?

  • @MrEvilwacko

    Store the Sun

  • @flbk8597 thanks dude

  • Donnie Yen filled the Jet Li gap as Jet became way too expensive to employ. Donnie Yen wasnt made into the leading male he is now until he was around 45. There isnt much room for Wu at the moment. Wu needs better choreographers or do more films with Donnie. Most of the films he has been in as of late really dont make use of his talents. He just needs to be put in the right movie and he can shine. As of now, he hasnt been in those kind of movies.

  • Donnie Yen is becoming more and more popular among both Chinese and Worldwide audiences. But I honestly think WuJing deserves a lot more recognition than he currently has. Although he allows himself to take roles where he dies, he REALLY gets into character...I recommend the following films: Shaolin, Legendary Assassin, and Invisible Target.

  • Donnie Yen has quickly become my favorite Chinese actor ever since I saw Ip Man. Once I saw how amazing he was I realized he has actually been in a ton of Chinese movies and does an amazing job!!!

  • fate schifo

  • What is the weapon donnie yen is using called?

    Thanks

  • @IaMgEoRgE1 baton-kind-of

  • @IaMgEoRgE1 police baton

  • @IaMgEoRgE1 it called baton

  • fuck freddie w, u guys didn't recognize donnie yen until freddie told you

  • @bhu4153 I did, I've seen a few of his movies, including both Ip Man movies and Return of Chen Zhen...

  • @bhu4153 so what? who would know about this movie?

  • @learyan

awesome ppl who fallow donnie yen's awesomeness

  • @learyan 杀破狼 ,S.P.L.or sha po lang;HONGKONG 2005

  • what duz this have to do with freddie w??

  • @iamsoawesome1234 he showed a small clip of this video.

  • this is what i do when i sleep walk hah

  • Wu's cobra stance at 2:06 is so beautiful.

  • ya gotta love the mechanics of this fight, i love the way wu jing uses the knife.

  • Is that a Tanto, isn't it? :D

  • 69 ppl brought a knife to a baton fight.

  • @jigenji1 and they failed and killed by Donnie Yen!

  • This guys own a place in a new Mortal kombat movie. Donnie Yen should be either Sub Zero or Kung Lao. Jing Wu- should be Mavado

  • Donnie's very talented, but I would've just got a concealed carry permit to shoot the guy.

  • 68 people got beat up by donnie yen

  • Now that is a fight!!!

  • Does anyone know what that weapon Donnie is using??

  • @jason117magic A collapsible baton.

  • Hope to see Donnie in dragon tiger gate 2

  • snake eyes vs storm shadow

  • DONNIE YEN KICKS MAJOR BALLS!!! BEST FIGHT SCENE EVER!!!

  • whata bad day to wear white !

  • who is this freddie guy you speak of, I came here for donnie yen

  • @D202116 FreddieW is a youtube user who makes alot of youtube action clips and such, quite famous with like, over 2 million subscribers, in his latest behind the scene movie he shows a clip from this movie, wich is this scene, so many of his subscribers wanted to check it out, me included :)

  • possibly the greatest fight scene ever

  • Swords > Guns.

  • Wish more western movies like this...

  • Ip Man.

  • Could someone tell me what Donnie was doing at 1:43-1:45?

  • 1:13 "You made me bleed my own blood"

  • Freddie Wong brought me here

  • full fake

  • 3:42 You can see red staining on the wall and surrounding floor on the left where they must've done this shot, cleaned up, and did it again.

  • fredie wong has this clip on his video and it made me want to watch clip

  • best 4 mins of my life

  • this movie was so refreshing. really put hard nosed martial arts cinema back on the map

  • Non action Scripted Fight from 2:05 -2:35 . It's all based on the freestyle by the actor themselves. You can see the man in white nod to Donnie at 2:36 to give a sign back to action scripted fight. Sry for my poor english.

  • Freddie Wong! :D

  • FreddieW fans incoming! :D

  • life lesson #125, never wear white to a battle...it will just get stained

  • 1:57 duck.

  • Such a good fighting scene.

  • I always wondered why people who come to fight like in this scene never bring guns.

  • @ImUrMonkeyToo

I just finished watching the movie a few minutes ago, the cop in the black leather jacket had a reason for not bringing it, and the guy in white, well......I guess he likes getting all ninja on everyone.

  • @ImUrMonkeyToo Anybody can shoot a person. Hell even a 5 year old can shoot an adult. I just see it as them going toe to toe and seeing who the best is without projectile weapons. It takes a true fighter to go against someone without an instant kill long ranged weapon. It's why I like the east more than the west. Here, everyone always wants to shoot someone to prove they are tough and not actually get their hands dirty.

  • I watched this because of Freddie Wong :D

  • 67 dislike got killed by Jing Wu

  • after watching freddiew2's video:

check out those long cool takes, a show-off effect that these actors can fight...

  • @danyaawiin which Freddiew video has included this fighting scene?

  • @ExragonXFX It's on freddiew2 's channel in behind the scenes of "Whose gun is it anyways" ...I'm really glad FreddieW is bringing attention to the HK style of action even though everyone knows him for VFX

  • That is the cleanest Hong Kong alley I have ever seen.

  • Freddie W

  • @SheepOvatsug freddie sent me here as well

  • still one of the best scenes from SPL.

  • 1:56 ... poke!

  • he puts more expression on this than Ip man

  • Jet Li Can Kick Jing Wu Ass In 1 Sec Even Donnie yen ^^ Actually both of them !!!
