  • They should time goldenchilds hang time when he goes for an oop!

  • howbout nate

  • Windows XP

  • Farmar is such an inspiration to smaller players! He has the highest vertical in the NBA at 3.5ft! Unbelievable!!

  • Listen end of the video, you see that they say "...but that's just about maximal time that any human could be in the air." So nobody can jump higher than jordan? Wait a second. Jordan was Basketball player, not Dunker, Not Volleyball player, not High Jumper and so on. They even tested better vertical than jordans from Skywalker in the show and we all know that theres plenty of guys who can jump way higher than skywalker. So, why didn't they same time tested skywalkers "hangtime" 0.95?

  • @BecomeB "Just about the maximal time that any human could be in the air" doesn't mean it's the best hangtime. It means that it's close to the maximum. Volleyball is a sport where like basketball jumping is important but not everything. High jumping isn't about vertical leaping. Jordan was a world class, greatly conditioned athlete. He played a sport where the goal is 10 feet above the ground, and you have to sometimes dunk the ball over 7+ footers.

  • @lgr1013

    1. But why Jordan don't have even close to best vertical. He's somewhere around top 100 best verticals ever. Theres atleast 20-40 guys with 50" or higher PEAK vertical.

    2. Volleyball - Leonel Marshall

3.Jordan was world glass athlete, but just at his era.

  • @BecomeB I advise to start looking for real evidence of these people with 50+ inch verticals, and not believing some shit someone else tells you. Bamba was listed at 6'2" if he's close to that height he should have gotten his head well above the rim. I never seen him get his head rim level. Let's say Darlington is 6'4" with sneakers on. Do the fucking math. The rim is 10 feet. That's a 44 inch difference. You should also show evidence of hangtime over 1 second.

  • @BecomeB Do some math. Jordan was listed at 6'6", but was really about 6'5". 6'6" is his sneaker height. He would have to jump about 42 inches to get his head rim level. You can realize how far guys like Rose, Darlington, and Bamba had to jump to do the same thing. Provide proof. I keep saying because it means that much. If you are arguing against what sports science is saying, it takes strong evidence. Do you have a video of someone hanging the air for longer than 1 second.

  • @lgr1013 Well, you can see that Rose has got hes head on rim MANY times. Well, Haneef Munir is 5"10 and he can kiss rim, Search "Young hollywood kisses rim". I know what you gonna say.. "Noo, thats not regular height" or something like that. But really cmon. Yes it is, that's from NBA Sprite dunk contest they had 305cm rims there.

305cm-178cm=127(Fckin 50 inches, do some math) And even little bit over, he kissed it didn't touch it with top of his head.

  • @lgr1013 /watch?v=ai7FKiaB8ZA theres another proof, another guy. Pics are pretty much from where you wanted, surely not from that low angle like TFB.

Why you talking about rose and guys jumping far, I thought vertical was about how high you jump.

  • @BecomeB When it's comes to "Rose and guys" I'm am talking about vertical. I'm telling how high they would have to jump to reach rim level. That's vertical, not horizontal. You do know that the rim is 10 feet high? As far as the pics of Alan Barch they come from a low camera angle. watch?v=DcCHtvMF3LU. Go to 53 seconds so understand what it looks like when the camera angle isn't in the dunker's favor.

  • @lgr1013 But that 53sec angle isn't right also. It's as wrong as tfb low angle, too high.

But how you can compare Ibaka with any of these guys? I bet he ain't got 45 or better vertical. 10 feet is 305cm... You got problem with math?

    10ft=305cm

    5'10=178cm

    127cm=50 inches

    50 inches=more than jordan.

You wanna proof, so what if theres videos. What you think are Kadour Zianis vertical? What you think are T-Dubs vertical? What you think are Marshalls vertical? Manigaults? Barchs? Tell me.

  • @BecomeB Look like I told fuck the bullshit. Hangtime over 1 second. Prove it.. When sports science says that no one can jump in the air hang and land on their feet for more than 1 second. They say Newton's law of gravity supports it. That means the burden of proof is up to you. I'm trying to find a way to time things to take estimates of hangtime. 10 feet is 120 inches, 5'10" is 70 inches. I do know my cm 2.54cm is 1 inch. Still you don't need centimeter to figure that shit out.

  • @lgr1013 Tell me why I have to prove it? Don't be stupid. You think i got fcking equipments and skill to test it, or I even live in USA, i Don't btw that's why I use centimeters.

Point here is that why didn't they pick up some Kadour Zianis dunk, they picked up Jordans dunk and analyze it. Wow. Ok, we pick up shaqs sprint and say yea that's about maximal speed human can run... And no theres no faster guys, no prove. Sport sience only has equipments to prove it, they just pick badly.

  • @BecomeB Sorry buddy. Sports Science didn't just pick Jordan and say that it was the maximum someone could jump. They didn't even say that no one can jump higher than him. They knew that 1 sec was the maximum before they analyzed the dunks. Sports Science didn't decide that 1 sec was the maximum hangtime. It's physics. It didn't matter who they picked that person wasn't going to have a hangtime of more than one second. As they said the law of gravity is simply to strong.

  • @lgr1013 Tell me where in physics that reads? What are measurements? Not just say that it based on the newtons stuff. What stuff especially? Funny thing is that how newton can know when he lived that how good genes and that stuff does nowdays athletes have?

But to me logically if they wanna proof that nobody have over 1 s hangtime they should pick some1 who has claimed to be best vertical ever. So that means example Kadour Ziani. Let me tell, they didn't. They distorts the experiments!

  • @BecomeB There are reasons the burden of proof is up to you. Sports Science is mostly reliable. The law of gravity is reliable and scienfically valid. The evidence suggest that what they say is reliable. That's why it's up to the person claiming they are wrong to prove otherwise. If someone can't prove otherwise, than it's only logical for me to believe what they are saying.

  • @lgr1013 Proof, I have showed. What you wanna see, theres is pic that you asked there is guys jumping a lot higher than NBA guys. Can't you take that? NBA can't. 1. NBA put up Sprite Street Dunk competition and tell that winner will compete in all star weekend. 2. They realize that those guys will kill all NBA players in jumping, Dunking and so on. 3. They cancel the whole thing.

Tell you to me why SS analyze Jordans video, while he's not potential highest jumper?

  • @BecomeB Sorry buddy I can't keep waisting my time arguing with you. You haven't brought any real proof to the table. I'll ask you again. Can you show a video of someone hanging in the air for more than 1 second? Fuck mentioning names and all of that bullshit. Stop dancing around the point. Proof of hangtime longer than 1 second please. It's not that hard. I looked into T-Dub, Randy Moss, etc, and have found not evidence of legit 50+ inch verts, or more importantly hang over 1 sec.

  • @lgr1013 "A 1 sec hangtime translates to 1.225m vertical displacement, which could be achieved by an extremely small number of people." 50" or higher peak verticals. Kadour Ziani T-Dub Leonell Marshall Alan Barch Jr. Jameel Pugh Earl Manigault Randy Moss Chand Wickran Justin Darlington James White Haneef Munir Taurian Fontenette Abdoulaye bamba Marcus Wallace an so on. Think about Rose for a second. He had 47" vertical at rookie year, nowdays like 50" and he's 23 years old!
  • @BecomeB There is no evidence of Manigualt having a 52 inch vertical. There are no videos of hih that I've seen. If Rose's vertical was 50 inches he would be getting his head well above the rim. I haven't seen him get his head close to rim level. I haven't seen Ziani with his head rim level. Jameel Pugh was 6'4". If he had a 50 he should have been close to getting his neck rim revel. Never seen him close to doing that.

  • @BecomeB Fuck listing names. It's about evidence. If you want to prove what they are saying about hang time, and gravity wrong you should have to show strong evidence. Where's the video of someone hanging in the air longer than 1 second. Where is the proof. Also you seem to be very gullible. You seem to believe claims of 50+ inch vertical without look for proof. You say Randy Moss had over a 50 inch, but his vertical at the NFL combine was 39 inches.

  • A 1 sec hangtime translates to 1.225m vertical displacement, which could be achieved by an extremely small number of people.

  • wish they had made this video after black griffin came around

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry but no more than one second in the air?

Jordan stayed there 0.92 seconds and he had 48 inch vertical.

T-Dub has 55-57 vertical. I'm pretty sure that he can beat that second.

And by the way, T-Dub is still young and improving that shocking vertical.

  • @BecomeB I've seen T-Dub and the guy has some amazing dunks, but they also use some very tricky camera angles that make him look like he jumps higher than he does. If they say that no one can hang in the air for more than a second, and it's based on Newton's law of gravity, than I need to see strong evidence to believe that T-Dub or anyone could surpass it.

  • @lgr1013 I'm just thinking that if jordan did over 0.9s with 48 vertical...

T-Dub have peak vertical 55" one and half year ago. 1.225m vertical would be needed for 1 sec hangtime, well 55" is 1.397m. Do your math. Basically that saying you need over 50 vertical to stay in air over second. Well newtons wrong, maybe at his time over 1 sec was impossible, but cmon. Over 50 verticals nowdays, Alan Barch jr. 54.5", few TFB or ex TFB guys, one volleyball player and list goes on and on.

  • @BecomeB When it comes to choosing between team flight brothers stats, and Newton's law of gravity, I pick Newton. For them to go against something like that I need some serious evidence. That's the way any reasonable scientist would look at it. You should need extreme evidence to disprove the theory and not just claims, and trick camera angles.

  • @BecomeB T-Dub is listed at 5'9". Let's say that's his height with sneakers on. That means that with a 55 inch vertical his head would get 4 inches above the rim. Team flight brothers usually shows their dunks from an angle under the dunker, with it looking like the camera is pointed upward at an angle. That makes the dunker look like they are higher compared to the basket than they really are. Show me the straightaway camrera angle that show T-Dub's head 4 inches above the rim.

  • @lgr1013

    1. How many street dunkers have ESPN camera stuff? They can give camera to some1 or but it on something. Theres not 305cm high chairs or anything in everywhere.

    2. Forget T-Dub for a second. They saying in that video basically that nobody can jump higher than jordan... How about Chand Wickran? T-Dub and Haneef munir? Alan Barch jr? youtube.com/watch?v=H8zmubRWCog Camera angle should be that you asked?

Kadour Ziani? Even James White have over 50" = over 1 s

    Don't miss point!

  • @BecomeB They are saying that no one can jump and stay in the air for over a second. I know that the fan in you really wants to believe that there's somebody that can do it, but what proof is there. Given that the whole thing is based on Newton's law of gravity, which accurate and respected scientifically there should be serious evidence for you think otherwise. Yet it seems that someone like you is easily convinced otherwise.

  • @BecomeB Your link lead me to nothing, but I've seen a bunch of team flight brothers. I've seen T-Dub, Haneef, James White, Werm, Young Hollywood, etc. I constantly see that same low camera angle. If you show a low camera angle of a dunk with the dunker between the rim and the camera, he'll look higher up compared to the rim than he really is. When they show dunks from the side you can look at the backboard. What side of the backboard looks higher, and is the dunker on that side.

  • @BecomeB If you really believe all of those guys can defy the laws of gravity then I don't know what I can say to you. You can deny the scientific evidence and simply look for whatever you feel backs up your case. It's like what he says at the end of the video. Sir Isaac Buzkill, hahahaha. I know you don't want something like serious scientific evidence to kill your buzz.

  • @lgr1013 1. In this video they don't really tell why laws of gravity would be against it. They just say with some math based on some stuff it's impossible. But why jordans hangtime would then be so good? Theres a lot of dunkers, high jumpers, volleyball players with way better vertical than jordan! Are you jordan fan, because basically you saying that jordan was highest jump athlete ever, it's not true.

    3. Link was to Alan Barch jr. video. Write that name on tube and you see it.

  • @BecomeB They don't say that. They just talk about gravity and show a picture of Isaac Newton. What do think they mean. As far as Jordan being the highest jumper. If the longest you hang in the air is 1 second and is hangtime on his foul line dunk was 0.92 than that pretty close to the max allowable. It doesn't mean that no one can jump higher than him, it simply means that he got very close to the maximum hangtime.

  • @BecomeB Fuck linking me to videos. You want to prove sports science wrong simply show me evidence of someone's hangtime being timed as being over 1 second.

  • farmar simply farts after take off so he gets the added flight...

  • Why don't they get someone who actually plays?

  • blake griffin disliked the video

  • really Jordan Farmar out of anybody they could pick Jordan fuckn Farmer!!!

  • i bet Michael jordan, at age of fifty can jump higher

  • why choose a pg?

  • a jew teaching us how to dunk??damn..

  • do they know who james white is?

  • They need to see TFB players, and Blake Griffin!

  • type in dis to see it "TFB::Dunks:: 5'9" TDUB Tries to touch 12 Feet 6 Inches at Amway Arena!! 50+ Inch Jump"

  • yes t-dub can hang in da air for 1.5 secs go see for yourself he takes of when it hits 22 seconds and lands just b4 it hits 24 seconds look

  • @daXkrazyKILLA 1.5sec means it's .75sec up and .75sec down, his vertical displacement would be(1/2gt^2) = 0.5 x 9.8 x 0.75^2 which equals to 2.756m and that is simply impossible.

  • they need to look at james whites free throw dunks.

  • they should get t-dub on here

  • What does Sport Science always get the worst athletes for their test?

  • "like lebron james" ... joke?

  • shannon brown chris brown twin cocky ass look alike can aha

  • if they only did this test with someone who could really jump then they would know the truth. Jordan Farmar? Who the fuck is he? He cant jump for shit!

  • @mkabukha1 Sorry, but that's inaccurate. Farmar is capable of a 42-inch vertical leap.

  • TDub all the wayyyy

  • whatabout Dr Dunkenstein?

  • They should redo this, and use JusFly, Golden Child, or Air UP There

  • it's JORDAN farmar... because they couldn't afford Air Jordan

  • What do you have to take to study this kind of science, i'm guessing it's physics? This kind of stuff about speed, power, force etc so that one would be able to conduct successful experiments on force, speed and power and stuff like that? Thank you!

  • Lol i didn't even know Jordan Farmar could dunk, i saw this video's name, i was like 'wtffffffffffffffffff'.

  • Dwade shoulda been on this

  • this makes me want to get on boingvert

  • he flaps his ears to take off

  • Interesting note for anyone interested is that, according to the equations of motion, you need at least a 48 inch vertical to stay in the air for a second or longer. The TFB guys are a good group to test.

  • Jordan Farmar?? :/ wtf!!! thats like getting Shaq to do a Speed test you bunch of science Idiots!!

  • ive got more than 1 sec hang time wth hahaha

  • They shoulda gotten Shannon brown

  • no one can be in the air for 1 second ??? challenge accepted >)

  • why in the hell would you put JORDAN FARMAR... WHAT THE HELL?

  • Jordan Farmar is not the right person for it

  • Farmar uses his ears as wings too so this shit is inacurate

  • @dimedropper1992 Lmfao

  • they got the wrong jordan

  • Little know fact:

Farmar's ears actually act as wings (like those on an airplane), allowing him to stay in the air longer than the average human.

  • thank you sr Isaac Buzz kill LOL

  • I'd like to see the air up there, t dub, nate.. anyone! Im sure you can be up for more than a second

  • this show never gets TRUE stars

  • Um actually they chose a guy who cant even jump that high they should have gotten T dub or air up there so this test means nothing.

  • @Baconbits32 this guy has a 42' vertical thats ridiculous so ur just dumb. hes barely 6 foot tall

  • they should fine dunkers form TeamFlightBrother

  • they tested the one player who only has 1 dunk

  • What about James White, Air Up There, T-dub...?

  • Lawls... so much for my friend bragging he could hang for 3 seconds in air =.=

  • jordan farmar really? why not lebron, kobe, or dwade?

  • Hammertime

  • Hammertime

  • farmar???? really

  • jonah takalua has hang time!!!

  • them big ass ears flap and that pussy gets a little bit of hangtime

  • they make it seem like Jordan Farmar has major ups

  • MJ is elite? what an understatement

  • The Should do "Sports Science: D. Rose Destroying Ankles"

  • @PojekGwapzpo123 too late they already had stephon marbury on the case,,,

  • In comparison, Nate Robinson's vertical, IS higher, but only at 43.5 inches.

  • Jordan Farmar had a 42-inch vertical when he entered the NBA.

  • @oreorabbitlord Hmm watching this episode made me wonder a bit. If you use the equations of motion and you assume acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 ms-2 and since it took 0.42 seconds for him to fall, that actually equates to a 0.86m displacement, which is 34 inches vertical. Well Farmer probably didn't try that hard though and he didn't look like he got up that high in this vid, but 40+ inch verticals now seem just a bit exaggerated to me.

  • I have to admit I loled at "Sir Isaac Buzzkill"

  • but...he's white?

  • @cahman44 he's mixed dude, my cousin knows him

  • @12emeirs oh cool

  • Wow they got jordan farmar, ru serious

Get shannon brown or nate even drose

But farmar hahah thts a joke

  • really farmar in a conversation with michael an vince

  • bull shit michael jordan can jump and be in he air for longer than a second

  • @coltonmcinelly No, what Jordan used to produce is simply an illusion... That is dull... Isn't it ?

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooo wrong jordan hahahahahah

  • Jordan Farmar for hang time? wow

  • Damn I thought it was Michael Jordan

  • they need nate robinson or shannon brown

  • they should find someone who can jump higher

  • The name was in short form so it said "FSN Sport Science. Episode 1 - Jordan..."

You can guess how dissapointed I was.

  • Way to use the only jewish guy in the nba to test athleticism

  • They should locate shannon brown instead

  • they should find a time machine and get jordan back in his prime.

  • shannon brown or nate robinson

  • yes

  • I wanna know earl the goat's hangtime

  • The 1 second thing is obviously false. Check out some videos of Air Up There, Tdub or Golden Child, it's clear they have more than 1 second of hang time. In fact, I think more than a half of TFB can actually stay in the air more than 1 second,

  • he was using a grav lift.

  • Get Shannon Brown! Lol

  • they havent yet seen Pornchai a member of Thailand National Sepaktakraw team..

that dude has a sick hang time when he execute a Roll spike

  • dude james white can get over 1 second

  • no one can go more than 1 second in the air, no one.

  • @roniboy987 yes they can lol. they're plenty of people and plenty of proof

  • @roniboy987 well actually not plenty of people. but think about it. its someone with a higher vert and hangtime than Michael Jordan. i know one. just type in world's greastest dunker in the search bar. first video. and there's a few more people

  • Jamario Moon has more than 1 second hangtime. The law of gravity does not apply to the Moon.

  • they should get Shannon Brown

  • @YaminSchachter yea, shannon brown can jump out of the buidling, kid is ridiculous

  • hmmmmm they say no one? what if i go up into a 4ft building and jump to the ground? so those that mean no one?

  • @luftwaffe789456123 Jumping off a rooftop isn't part of "projectile motion". It's just free-fall and it's not the same thing, if you wanted to know...

  • lol "no force is applied on you"

    fake as physicist

  • W00T @ vinsanity olypmic dunk ftw

  • i was about to say wtf would they get jordan farmar todunk for them and he brang that shit out haha doubted him but i love him as a flatout basketball player

  • theyre studying basketball and choose a white guy?

  • @MrIShatOnU Farmar had a 42" vertical in his pre-draft combine.

  • wew

  • they said NO ONE CAN STAY IN THE AIR FOR MORE THAN 1 SECOND> NO ONE. So Nate Robinson could not do it.

  • Shannon Brown wouldve been sweet to test

  • that guy was like dr. "cindy" bir when it obviously said cynthia bir dumbass

  • man, they need a black guy dunking this shit

  • they need to check out Leonell Marshall. and then redo their whole study haha

  • His secret to flight? Its all in the ears.... :P

  • as michael jordan said, hangtime is just an illusion- pumping of the legs to maintain balance and co-ordination longer- and give the appearance of height. they probably picked THE worst guy to demonstrate hangtime in Farmar. i got more hops than this kid.

  • @slantone who do u think would have been a better choice

  • yea i bet nate robinson could get 1.001 seconds :P

  • they should find Nate Robinson

  • ya since nates short and can jump as high as jordan he'd prob stay up for a second

  • @laionhanganson they should find Vince carter!

  • @laionhanganson they should find shannon brown ^^

  • . jordan's ears are big like mine .

  • @waylonvern34

    LMAO!

  • @ballistics: it is because kobe and the skywalker guy proved already that they can jump over a car ok? meaning they can hang in the air for about 1.5secs when applying the formula of sport science. now, why jordan farmar? it is because it for sure can hang in the air but it also computes what(?) body frame can hang in the air ok?? i hope you get it.

  • would pay to see Shannon Brown's hangtime

  • i agree, kadour ziani, tdub, nate, and spud can go beyond 1 second for sure. the shorter your legs are means more airtime.

stupid sports science, they based their conclusions to jordan farmar ONLY.

  • "Sir Isaac Buzzkill" lfmao

  • Skywalker jumps 50inches according to their other epidose which means he has a hangtime of 1.02s.

  • that guy is wrong jump off a clift and u have tons of hang time....

  • thats hilarious...

  • @waylonvern34

Only to those who cannot tell the difference between falling and jumping.

  • nate robinson or shannon brown

  • what about lebron, would've loved to see MJ do this in his prime.

  • Vince Carter in his prime would have been perfect for these tests.. i mean he dunked straight over a 7'2 guy...

  • they shud have called tfb guys to do this instead and maybe they can hang for more than 1s.

  • yea. bring them air up there!

  • i wonder how long nate can be in the air

  • i can bet that Nate Robinson hangs for more that one second...i know what the scientist said but i bet he can beat one second...

Like they say no human can run 100 m in less then 9.50s...Usain Bolt will prove them wrong...

  • The ball hits MJ in the face at 1:09 he didnt even flinch, what a stud.

  • they shouldve gotten nate robinson!

  • i bet that kadour ziani could go pretty damn close to getting 1sec of hang time

  • farmar has a 41 inch vertical thats why they used him andd hes short
