  • your a dumbass did you know its inhumane to feed a animal to another animal. you can feed a pet mouse anything like seeds peanut butter etc y would you go out of your way to get a mouse and feed it to your own mouse. your fully fucked in the head

  • @N4B4EVER The mouse was fed to a Brazilian short tailed opossum. This is *not* a mouse eating another mouse... it is a marsupial eating a rodent. Natural food for the Brazilian short tailed opossum... do some research before you speak of things you don't know and sound stupid.

  • @earthling1987 dude u have a mini ninja assassin lol!

  • Hi Earthling. I have a wonderful little male STO named Snoopy. He's about 6 mos. old and one of the best pets I've ver had ( I have exotics). Wondering if you've experienced marked differences in personality between your female STOs and your males?

  • @AthenaOfArgos I've had very sweet females and males... in fact every STO I've owned has been very sweet and the males/females seemd about equal in their temperment.

  • Where do you get your STO??? And can they live in a group or pair????

  • @PUPPYHEARTGIR They need to live solitary.

  • this is my first time seeing this can someone explain what kind of a cannabilistic freaking creatur that is??? ive actually never seen anything like this a mouse eating another??? WHAT IS THIS

  • @masterofuselessness This is a Brazilian Short Tailed Opossum (STO) eating a mouse. STO's are marsupials, not rodents like mice. Yes, they are of similar size and look similar to the untrained eye, but they are very different creatures.

  • Did lucy die about now cuz it is sad if she did :(

  • @pikachu6655 she is gone now :( she had a great life though1

  • the ONLY thing sad about this video is that im pretty sure that was a pregnant female mouse being eaten, otherwise, ive seen 3 vids of Lucy, and i already want my own now lol

  • @kyo666 thanks, she was a cutie :)

  • When should i feed my STO an adult mouse?

  • @CPR901 Best to feed pinkies or fuzzies. Adult mice pose the threat of biting and hurting your STO.

  • I LOVE LUCY! How is she doing? Hope she's thriving. Is she the mother of three in the video where her son wrestles with her over the two kills?

And, by the way, you do a great job of filming. I look forward to viewing all the ones you've posted.

  • @cidreno60 Thanks much for your comment! Lucy actually never was a mom; the mom in that video is a different STO have. I did own Lucy's parents though, and lucy was born in my house and raised very well. She was a great STO, but she did pass away a few months ago :(

  • @earthling1984 Sorry to hear about Lucy. She was clearly a winner. I hope she lived the full complement of STO years (4--is that right?) Are there just three or so videos of Lucy in the Lucy Series? If there are more, I'll look them up.

  • @cidreno60 She was great. she lived a little past 4 years old. 4 years is about the oldest they usually get. There are a few videos with lucy in them, but I can't remember all of them.

  • way cool i love your vids man i have even started my own pet room

  • @mrconrocks awesome

  • @blodsyearlysunsets

That's the way things go idiot... Before humans were so "domosticated" and most of us actually had to hunt for our food, we killed animals and ate them. Only difference is our stomachs are notthe same. We had to cook them. STO's don't need to cook there meat... And aboutthe way it kills it, do you expect them to have freaking spears or guns or something? No it uses what it has. So like I said deal with it or GTFO.

  • @lazor222 Thanks lazor222

  • I'm sorry...but you talk about natural. Is that cage natural? Or the safe warm home with a constant food source? In nature you're cute little STO might already be fed to something. Are you going to do that to keep it's life 'natural'. Anyway, cute STO. Poor video and very poor explination for letting another animal suffer. Feed 'em f/t, natural food source, no chance of your STO getting harmed/infected with parasites and no letting another animal suffer needlessly.

  • @Heartlessmusic666 The food I feed them is as natural as I can mimic in a captive environment. If you kept a tiger, would you feed it only dog food? I agree cages aren't natural, but all we can do as pet owners is try to give them as natural a life as possible.

  • hey i have a question please correct me if im wrong do you have to clean the cage after u feed it the mouse cuz wouldn't there be blood i dont know but im just asking

  • @sashquatch211 they eat the whole mouse, bones, fur, and all. Not much, if any, blood gets in the cage.

  • @bloodyyearlysunsets

Dude...stfu there's like 1000000000000 mice in the world if a STO eats 1 then it keeps things in balance and it makes the animal happier n keeps them healthy it's jus like wen a lion eats a zebra so if u don like it don watch it...gosh the human race can rly piss me off sometimes...but nice vid lucy will b missed

  • @wolfen767 Thanks

  • wow they must have a tremendous amount of jaw pressure that mouse was like half its size

  • @127super yeah, they can crack the mouses skull. Lucy never really did that, she usually went for the neck and strangled them.... but most of the larger STO's(Lucy is a runt).. most of the larger STO's just bit down on the head and cracked the skull. They have powerful jaws for their size.

  • how long does it take her to eat a mouse of that size?

  • @Buffard1993 a couple hours.

  • what exactly is a STO?

  • @JMproductions555 they are marsupials. Small mammals that are very intelligent and can make great pets.

  • After Lucy hits the mouse:

Lucy- Come here so i can eat you!

Mouse- I got to get out of here!

  • wow, i'd be afraid to play with lucy after that xD

I want a small tail opossum soo bad!

  • to all those who say this s cruel. STFU, this is nothing compared to the way cows, chicken, etc. are treated for your fast food restaurants.

  • pooor little mouse :/

but i didnt know possums ate mice..cuz i kinda figured they were the same and stuff sorta

haha i sound very stupid but i cant explain what i mean very well..

  • @Bloodyearlysunsets You're cool. So it would be okay to feed her bland pellets in a bowl that barely sustain her because thats more humane to you? She would less healthy and much less happy. Thats like feeding your dog tofu. They need meat in their systems, it's their nature. You're going to deny her what she would eat in the wild simply because she is in captivity? How stupid.

  • @AllisonNJhenie dogs dont need meat XD they eat like dog food..hard crunchy stuff u know...

  • @LoAfXD dogs have been domesticated over hundreds of years. And there is much quality dog 'pellet' food on the market. STO's have not been domesticated and there is not good pellet food on the market for them.

  • violent little Lucy hehe shes really nice. :)

  • @FamilyofPeople hehe, she is nice to humans, but she hates mice ;p

  • @FamilyofPeople hehe, she is nice to humans, but she hates mice ;p

  • You do not need to feed your STO mice. They don't NEED them if they are in captivity. If you insist on wasting the life of a precious creature, then don't put it on YouTube. Also, that's not what the pet stores call a "feeder" mouse. It's a fancy one, meant to be a pet. You're a fucking idiot.

  • @Bloodyearlysunsets just because it has colors on it, doesn't make it a 'pet' mouse... wow.. you are 12 years old I guess... And I know at 12 years old I would have the same feelings as you, but mice are mice, and they are fed to other animals, that is the life cycle, if it upsets you, please do not watch. Thanks.

  • @earthling1984 I'm fifteen and I don't care if supplies nutriants for her. She won't die without them or else there'd be a lot less STOs in captivity. -____- I'm fifteen, btw. Mice are equal to any other animal in a way. No animal is better than them.

  • @Bloodyearlysunsets I was close :) So if I fed mice to snakes would you also get mad?

  • @earthling1984 Not as mad because snakes can't really eat anything else.

  • @Bloodyearlysunsets uhm your completely wrong. this is how the food chain works with these animals. cat < opossum. opossum < mouse. mouse < bug. this is how life works my friend. mouse is on the lower end of the food chain which means it gets eaten by opossum.

  • @Bloodyearlysunsets Glad someone has some sense on here.

  • WHy didnt you stop it

  • @wigglezhujun stop what?

  • Are live animals such as mice realy good for STOs or are there other things that are just as good

  • @gasteslenn @earthling1984 wrong person..... to answer you.l... you don't have to feed STO's live mice, but they do enjoy it.

  • wow it is so crazy i didnt know what a STO was till now and still dont have the whole idea lol. i never thought a mousey like thing ate mouseys lol. it is kind of cruel the way it killed it since my snakes killer faster. but i mean it is very natural and its called food chain people.

btw a quick question what do you feed your pregnant mice? cuz mine got pregnant but did not produce any milk

  • Are they illegal in Minnesota? Plzz reply

  • @ox455 look it up and find out :)

  • Whya re we all having a go? We all would say 'Cool' if we saw a cheetah chase down an antelope wile being filemd, this is no different.

  • sto kick that mouses ass cool pet

  • what is the full name of an sto are they legal in california plz plz plz reply!

  • Brazilian short tailed opossum. Sorry they are illegal in CA.

  • possum kills and eats a mouse my cats do this with birds frogs every day, and nature makes it so and i love them give this guy a break and get real

  • I know you are reading this scumbag. You put a different value on different animals lives and you have the balls to call your animals pets. Do you like watching animals suffer and die? Reminds me of how I can put a different value on peoples lives, know what I mean prick.

  • I breed mice because many of my pets eat mice. Buying mice is very expensive(over time), whereas breeding them is much cheaper. Do I enjoy watching living things suffer and die... of course not... but do I like to provide my pets with the most natural food, of couse so.

  • I'd like to meet you so as to teach you something about life sc_mbag.

  • @wheezer97@wheezer97 id like to meet you so i can break your bony gay luking face

  • @CzechWolfDog1 :) ! kk :)

  • I finally see why you are breeding mice. Do you consider yourself a pet lover? Why do you even have these animals? Looks like you really get off watching those mice suffer being hunted down and eaten alive. I guess the lives of certain animals mean less to you than the lives of other animals. You sad excuse for a human being. I'd love to meet with you. I'm pretty sure I could teach you a thing or two.

  • O_O are you sure it's not part dog...?

  • Do STOs make good pets? and do they have to eat live mice?

  • They do make great pets. They don't NEED live mice to live. But I do recommend feeding a good variety of diet. A good mix of of dry food should always be available. Then items such as live crickets, pinkie mice(live or frozen), fruits, veggies, mealworms, etc.

  • Thanks. Now i just need to see if they are legal in Pennsylvania.

  • i have mice for just secondary pets and i dont plan to feed it to any animal but i think watching mice feeding is cool but at the same time i feel bad but not like some people who are like mouse obsessed like "thats not cool why are you doing that" and my sister has a male beardie that is a purebred red hypo and i plan to get a female beardie that has all the red genes in it and we are going to breed them so the red will become a stronger red its going to be cool.

  • Damn man.

Dude I have seen alot of cool videos man.

I seen people feeding mice to baby crocs, snapping turtles, monitors, snakes, etc.

But thats the coolest vido I have ever seen. No shit.

  • Thanks for your comment! I have many other videos of my pets - many with more mice feedings as well. Check em out :)

  • I had a possom once like yours she was nice but the second you put a mouse in her face the hunt would begin

  • it was cool

  • I thought the music matched up well ;p

  • it kinda looks like a big mouse eating a baby mouse

  • STO = Short Trail Opossum right?

  • Yes

  • why do u feed it mice

  • Because it is healthy for the STO. As with all my animals, I like to provide a wide variety of food so they have the best possible nutrition. STO's are said to live only up to 4 years in captivity... Lucy is 4 years old now about, and still looks super strong and healthy. I credit this to giving her the most natural food I can. The 'Hunt' is something they love, you can tell when they first see the mouse! They may be small animals, but they are ferocious predators also. (omnivores really)

  • o wow, that was a fight to the end lol p.s. like the music you played as well.

  • whats an sto

  • Brazilian Short Tailed Opossum

  • i know that its natural and all, i just dont think i could ever do that. im still trying to get over the death of my pet mouse and he died in may.

  • I don't like to see it but I understand it. Lucy really is a fully intact wild animal by the I mean all her killer instincts are still there and why not allow her to use them.

  • and actually. I responded before re-looking at the vid. My other videos of Lucy/Bighead eating mice is adults... This video it is actually a hopper, not an adult.

  • I fed adults as she can take them down, and to show people how strong these little STO's are. They are real hunters. Usually I feed her pinkies/hoppers. But adults she has taken down adults for years, and eats the whole thing overnight... bones, fur, everything.

  • whats an sto

  • Brazilian Short Tailed Opossum

  • Wow, she was hungry! Lol. I had no idea that would eat micel. 5*

  • i noe huh earthling ive went to some videos like these and people make some dumb comment about them

  • agreed. I understand their comments, I am an animal lover too; however, if you plan to keep an exotic pet(or any pet that eats live food in nature), then you better be able to fulfill the responsibility and feeding requirements of the species.

  • that thing is like a freakin lion it gets on the neck and tries to rip its throat out!

  • Yea. Lucy is a runt, she goes for the throat to strangle them. All my other STO's that I have fed mice to have been larger, and usually they just bite down on the head hard and crack the skull in one bite.

  • yummy yummy in his tummy but i'm an animal lover i think its cruel in a way but i push aside that because i've seen it live and i agree with you they need to live life more natural

  • I am an animal lover too. And I admit I do cringe sometimes at the sight of the feedings; however, that is a natural part of STO and mice life. I breed mice myself, and they get 5 star lodging until their time comes.

  • An animal lover would know that such live feeding is unnecessary and wouldn't put the animal through that sort of pain if they could avoid it!

  • An animal lover would also give their pets the best possible, most natural environment and food they can. Mice in nature are often prey. They die in nature by their attackers, and that is just how it happens when my STO's eat live mice. Pre-killed mice are also killed you know - often times just being thrown in bags then into a freezer... and that is better for them?
