I probably would've accepted it if you had simply said that the song just doesn't appeal to you, but to say that the only emotions music should be allowed to invoke are HAPPINESS and ANGER is rather odd. SADNESS is simply another emotion that music can express. That's the whole point of music, really, to make you feel some sort of emotion. Just because you prefer being angry doesn't mean that an entire genre is pointless, just that it's not your cup of tea. So go sip your cup over there.

There is some truth about that sort of genre of songs/lyrics, but there's definitely a line that's made when it comes to whoever it comes from. Damon is a complete musician, it's not like he ONLY writes sad/love longs -- did you notice that this performance is for the remembrance of John Peel who died?

By saying all music has to be political just shows how narrow you are. I'm all for political music(The Specials, Operation Ivy, etc)but music is about expression, there's a time for everything.
