You're right about the BC2 replay value. I've gone through 2 Call of Duties, 2 Fallouts, TF2, Bulletstorm, and Left 4 Dead 2, but I'm still staying up until 4 am playing Bad Company 2. I've got 6 soldiers; 1 at 50 and the rest scattered. I've never played a game that I loved going back and leveling, but keeping my soldier with unlocks for trolling Shibby.

makes me sad to see epic game's being scaled down and crippled on consoles. The core feature of Battlefield games has from day 1 always been 64 players. That is the biggest feature, and the one that sets it apart from all other FPS games. Now we see BF3 in it scaled down version with only 24 players, thats just 12 vs 12, having air vehicles with 12vs12 is not even propper.

Honestly you should have really looked at the complete evolution of the battlefield series starting from PC with Battlefield 1942, and all the PC installations before they made the jump to console, especially considering battlefield 3 is a PC game first and foremost

I rather leave the PC evolution to a hardcore PC player...As sad as it may seem BF get more sales on console and according to pre orders it looks like BF3 for Xbox will be the top seller again. The point is that the console versions have had just much evolution as any of the PC title and that's what I wanted to make a series out of.

A lot of the 'sales' for BC2 on the consoles were just CoD players who spend a week or so on the game and then ditch it in a closet forever so they can play MW2. There are more than 25K active BC2 players on PC, yet only around 18K active BC2 players on X360 , despite the fact BC2 X360 got nearly 3 million sales, and BC2 PC only got 620K sales. The dedicated community on PC has been and will always be much larger

actually BF 1942, BF 2142, BF 2, and BF 3 were/are focused on PC. Badco 1 and 2 were aimed at console to see how it reacted. It is better to expand a player base to more than just one platform, or not as many people will experience the goodness that Battlefield has to offer.
