Yeah those camrys didnt look to bad at all, but that 4cyl was so slow. And absolutly drop a V8 into it. It would be so wierd hearing the V8 rumble out of a camry.
seems your engine to be fine but your gearbox isn't. refurb or replace that part or change your AT oil.

You don't have to drop a v8 into it to hear a rumble. I have a short ram intake in my camry and it sounds like a beast.

That may have made it deep but you will never match the Exhaust note of a V8 with a 4cyl. It just isnt possible.
