  • There's a guy in newyork who owns an old subway that is pluged with 3 ft of concreat. Supposedly there is a steam engine in the plugged area and also the ticket booth and the spot where you get on the train

    It is fascinating to see this stuff that was once very important to someone.

    The old Railroad and Trolley stuff is my favorite.

    People would be amazed if they knew what was hidden under their feet every day.

    I suppose that Post 19th Century Urban Archaeology will eventually be offered as a Major at some forward thinking College or other.

    I remember seeing a couple of TLC and/or History Channel programs on Urban Archaeology.

    One on the Erie Canal and another on Underground Passages.

    Over the years a few more have come and gone but it's still virgin territory.

    People are interested in their history and the history of the area they live in but nobody has the time or resources to go exploring.

    Well, except for us fanatics.

    I could spend the rest of my life snooping historical sites that people have forgotten.

  • @hammerogod Our filming season begins next week.. The leaves are off the trees again...most of our stuff is filmed between now and april...already have things lined up!
