With ML 63 AMG it was equal ( the guy told me after the race he was in confort mode, but with kickdown operated).The races were on 1/4 mile. So, I think a Volvo sedan with 225 Hp is no match for a tuned X3 sd.

Actually, I have a DMS converted X3 3.0Sd. 0-60, I have timed it myself in 5.3 seconds, 100 in about in a shade under 12. It's not much slower than my M5. It would also out handle the Volvo with it's unsophisticated FWD 'granny' chassis. It is that good. Really amusing as people don't expect it to be that quick!
The R was not racing! Try to race a manual R(not an automatic) and you'll get owned for sure!!! I bet whatever you want!! Notice, my Volvo S70 225hp(stock, 6.7secs 0-100km) would have a very very tight race with you.. a draw.. and you have 105bhp more than me.. so leave your dreams because you wouldnt be able to beat a Manual S60R

First of all, this is not the R, it can be clearly seen 1 second after the Volvo starts, it has just one exhaust pipe and the R models have 2.
Second, even if you had like 330hp the X3 is still 300kg heavier than the Volvo not to mention other things making SUV's slower than normal sedans.
