  • Terrible shame the digital copy is so awful, as this is historic footage of unsung heroes.

  • you're right, check out the just added high-res at /watch?v=YzG_nkzcXY4 ... it's a little better.

  • My Dad was a tail gunner on B-26s in the 19th Squadron 22nd Bomb Group in the Pacific Theater in 1942 & 1943. Then he flew on B-24s in Europe after that.

  • I love that plane!

  • I'm looking for anyone who has photos videos of a

    B-26 called The Shady Lady.

Her Pilot was Lt. Thomas Lea Alford

  • Wish there was some background info on these clips. Does anyone know what airbases these were shot at? Which Bomb Group or squadron? I couldn't see the tail markings. Great footage though and I look forward to seeing any additional info that may be available. Thanks - Daughter of Marauder Man FE-Gunner.

  • 397th Bomb Group, 599 Bomb Squadron

  • Thanks! Thanks also for this very nice video. My Dad was 391st BG and 572nd Sq.

  • My Father was radio man and tail gunner, making bomb runs over occupied France.
