  • 1:35 to skip them talking. Go to the action.

  • Very cool heli!!

  • Sounds like nitro

  • Nice heli but boring flying

  • my 2ch heli is bigger :O

  • Fantastic! I'm impressed with everything I saw and heard. How I long to fly like that or have the spare cash to afford to crash/rebuild/crash/rebuild twenty times a day (for me at least) :o)

I'm now contemplating a TREX 700. May need to part-ex my wife though :o(

  • Good!

  • This guy is not worthy of owning that heli..

  • low kv? weird, i thot you had to have a high kv motor for a heli that can do insane three-dee, likt the Exceed G2 thing from Xheli has a 3800kv, but this! only 560! wow!

  • advantages of flybarless?

  • @supertrex2 less friction,more power,more stable

  • i really liked how you did a half pirouette to a reverse autorotation landing. that was slick.

  • Very Impressive Gary!...

  • was wondering of the head speed what you can put to a 700 helicopter and what speed you were running on the vid? Are there speciality blades that are rated high speed?

I saw this crazy video where there was the most tuned up trex700 I've seen, up to around 10 hp..

    /watch?v=l7TBxFEPttI

Any estimate on what head speed that guy is running on the video? How much RPM the 700 size blades max safety limit? I thought that those spin a little slower then 500 but doesn't seem like that on the clip..

  • ha, that was some sweet flying there

  • What kind of motor are you using? I'm assuming the FBL setup is from Align.

  • Never mind you said what it was in the video. Either way sweet heli.

  • @sniper887 Scorpion 4035 560kV motor. i think the head is Align.

  • @hbk2flyer too high kv for 12s you want 400 to 450 kv

  • So exactly how long flight time he has with that?

  • smoooth....i love it !!!!

  • very nice!

I converted all my helis FBL , and it's fantastic. I got about 30 sec of more flight time without depleting 80% of the pack.

True there is less drag on the head saving some power, but the servos draw twice as much amps than normal. Either way it's great.

  • Nice auto at the end, thanks for sharing

  • hello are you using the gov mode on your esc? what is your headspeed?

  • You can jumpstart a 18 wheeler with that batterypack!

  • hbk2flyer, does a flybarless system draw more power on average compared to one using a flybar?

  • You do not have to spin the flybar paddles which create a certain amount of drag, so with less drag the flybarless set-up draws LESS power.

That means you can get a little bit more flight time.

  • ...or a few more raging climb-outs, choices choices.

  • how long does the battrey last if its fully charge

  • You get about a 5 & 1/2 minute flight of medium 3D action.

  • Wow! Sweet! Good job on your conversion. I'm still a noob flyer and HeliFreak user. I like the size of your now electric heli. I really don't care for notros due to the smoke and fumes they give off.

  • The rotor wash is so much nicer sounding when you go from gas to electric, don't you think so? Great work!

  • Great job on the conversion! I converted a MYSTAR 60 over to 22.2V electric. I only fly basic flight . No 3D for me just yet. Great job with the conversion and the great flying. 5 stars!

  • Mystar 60 electric - cool!

  • zippy batteries?

  • Turnigy LiPOs - but same thing I think. Garry has a bunch of zippies too.

  • Smooooth flying. That's one big electirc heli! Makes my Blade 400 look small. Oh that's right, it IS small. :)

  • great flying and a beauty of a heli!!

  • It is fun to film him fly for sure!
