  • If this tutorial is similair to someone elses, so what? I'm not subscribed to this 'silvermagic' and I haven't come across his videos. If Alex wants to create these tutorials, he can. After all, it's just giving a wider range of auidence an understanding on jQuery.

  • great work bro, helped me a lot :)

  • Copy from one, it’s plagiarism; copy from two, it’s research. - Wilson Mizner

Keep up the good work Alex, thanks.

  • Holy shit! You released a shit load Alex! Nice one!!!

  • @AL7X7 Thanks for your support. There was a lot of confusion about me 'stealing' videos, which is absurd because there is no need for me to do so. Glad you like the tutorials.

  • Explain to me why you are not stealing Silvermagics work? cause in my eyes your just removing comments on your videos and aswell on your channel so what are you hiding?

  • @LiGhTwOlF1308 By creating a video explaining what jQuery is, what it's used for, and the benefits is not stealing someones work. I didn't use any of his code, nor his video. I outlined the video series he was originally going to create, therefore I've only followed my own series guidelines. I'm deleting comments because they're annoying and uncalled for.

  • he stoled this tutorial from silvermagic see silvermagic his acount , he explained everything there, this is a stolen video.

  • @Animatixxking It's not a stolen video at all. It's me giving an introduction to jQuery.

  • @Animatixxking Silvermagics also stopt a while ago with tutorials and i don't think he'll start again becuase he works at a webdesign company (I know him)

  • So you need to know Javascript to use Jquery, do you do Javascript videos ?

  • @TuxGnome You don't need to know JavaScript really.

  • @phpacademy how so ? :)

  • php accademy talking about jquery... realy.. well i guess it is the best library out there...

  • @phpacademy ok.

So… the development version has 198kb of memory more than production? Oh my!

(or am I just bad at reading?)

  • @JelvinJS7 The production version has all whitespace removed from the code (since Javascript works without indentation etc).

  • Thank you for this! Just getting into the web development world hehe.

  • Hey Alex,

    Thanks for these mate!! :)

  • Alex, you have a tiny penis.

  • jquery is very very useful and it help saves a lot of time writing codes, most of the time a crap tons of javacript code can be achieved by just a few lines of jquery codes. Thanks for starting this tutorial series.

  • this is very odd, i started using jquery just today but started learning at w3schools and just now, he starts this series

  • @nicoekkart Now you can watch these! You'll see three more videos appear tomorrow, and then three the day after.

  • Omg yay! I've wanted to learn jQuery, but alas, tis been hard. Videos are better for scripting tutorials, in my opinion.

Quick Question: other than readability, is there any real difference between the production and development versions of jQuery?

  • @JelvinJS7 No, they operate the same. The production is just faster loading when you just need to access the library.

  • @JelvinJS7 "production" version has all whitespace removed and variable names are shortened. Development versions just have the code as-is.

  • This is really good!

  • Awesome! Jquery guides! :)... Already know alot, but you might can teach me stuff! Looking forward to more videos

  • how is that related to PHP in any way? it doesn't, but still great idea, jQuery is a great tool. Hope there are more videos about jQuery to come.

  • @TheRightNeutrino Jquery/Javascript is combined with Ajax. Ajax uses PHP though. So it's related to PHP

  • @LimmenThijs *used for Ajax

  • @LimmenThijs agree, I've already written some AJAX so i remember now.

  • @TheRightNeutrino you'll need jquery if you want to be a programmer... if you only know PHP you won't get accepted to many jobs, especially with the competition around.

  • Hi, PhpAcademy. If there's any chance you could help me with this script, I'd greatly appreciate it. It's jQuery/Ajax and PHP combined. It has a couple of errors that I can't seem to find.

Reply if you could help me? :)

  • @boburmum1 Go to his forums and post, people will help
