about how long does it take to build something like this? i am a beginning guitar builder, and when i saw both this and the villanizer, i wanted to do a steampunk concept myself. what would you suggest?
i see nobody's commented here for almost a year...thundereagle, are you still taking commissions on the nautilus and villainizer? i'm surprised i haven't seen any photos or videos of them posted online by people who have bought them, i would be very proud to own one!
why would you sell a one of a kind thing like that. who ever buys or bought it would just make more and it wouldn't be the only one anymore. It is still a sweet guitar.I would so buy it!! good design and everything.
lol, I noticed that too. But that's sort of the beauty of the design, isn't it? Those gears look so good, but you don't need to pull apart a clock or cut them out of metal.
This is awesome. It's one thing to create a steampunk guitar, but to make one that has as nice a sound as that is amazing. Lets hope you make some more of these beautiful guitars.
I saw an image of this on another site and now I finally found it. Myehehehehe.
I am seriously in LOVE with every steampunk item there is OUT THERE. From the little simple spinning gears to THIS GUITAR. Oh my god. I need to make things like this.
Thanx for the kind words dude. ;) Theyre limited in the sense that every one I do is slightly altered to make it an original...other then that, I'll build one any time you want it. We also have affordable payment plans.
Thanx man. Nah no steam music for me, I just figure showing people both ends of a spectrum might be enough for them to know it's a very capable axe. ;)
No more then it did before, no wieght is really added, everything added is Lexan, which is really light and non-breakable. Thanx for the kind words. ;)
I've been wanting to make a steampunk guitar ever since I saw one on DA, I saw this one there too, and I'm wanting to know what that lamp is...

@thundereaglecustoms That actually is a cheap and inexpensive way to do the gears. Metal gears tend to be a bit pricy these days.
xxXWingsXInXWarXxx 11 months ago
lol, I noticed that too. But that's sort of the beauty of the design, isn't it? Those gears look so good, but you don't need to pull apart a clock or cut them out of metal.

It's internally powered by 2 AAs.

How did you mod that? I thought they were mains-powered only?
craiglerxst 4 years ago
You can find battery ones, however hard that might be, then scale down the electronics a bit.
