  • @Hazylynx Wats wrong with staying in a motel in Paris?

  • MEAT'S MEAT AND MAN'S GOTTA EAT!

  • Pigs head in the end too cool.

  • Groovy Scooby! It's the Mystery Machine! This film is more a black comedy than it is frightening.

    Damn medling kids!

  • I USE PRESERVATIVES. Best ending line in history.

  • Terrific stuff! Always been a fav'.

  • Saw in college....classic!!!! Cliff Claven gets bagged in this movie also!!!

  • "It takes all kinds of Critters to make Farmer Vincent's Fritters"

  • Like this movie a lot. Brings back, some cool chilling memories of childhood.

    Seemed a lot scarier back then.......but I don't care.

Have it on DVD now and still love it.

  • ida and vincent's suasages

  • one of those "so bad that is good"

  • the fat old girl scared the shit out of me when i was a kid . ithink i was 7 when i saw it

  • the fat old girl scared the shit out of me when i was a kid . ithink i was 7 when i saw it

  • Shit. I forgot all about this movie. Wasn't there a scene with a deep fryer in this? I think I'm thinking of the same movie...

  • I remember watching this movie when i was seven years old, and i can not find this movie in any movie store. Looking back on it now it was a corny movie but i like it when i was seven. It was one of my first scary movies. The first one was Alien. And after that i have grown to love scary movies.

  • I worked on this film 30 years ago at Culver city studios my daughter was born when I was working on it tomorrow she is 30

  • I loved the band in this movie "Ivan and the Terribles."LOL!

  • Don't eat the fritters!

  • i spit on your grave is the movie yoru thinking of.

  • Theres a 70s cult horror classic kind of like the original last house on the left about a girl whos beatin and raped left for dead and then seeks her revenge. does anyone know what it might be

  • Meat is meat and a man's gotta eat!!!

  • Ahhh such a classic LOL! Especially Vincent with the hog head & chainsaw. I used to watch this everytime I saw it on!

  • How did this movie get funding? Most individual crazed killers seem to quietly flame out, but these two nuts seemed to think this was just a dandy way to fertilize their vegetables! Totally nutsy! Best part of the movie is seeing John Katzenberger (Cliff from 'Cheers') as a young punk rocker!

  • "I used preservatives."

  • @nightflight83 that was the dumbest one-liner ever. dumb movie anyway

  • a real classic..i see this movie in the channel retro latinamerica...just great!

  • Legendary Movie - Classic!

  • iv got the 2 dvd set deranged and motel hell on one DVD USA version amazing must see .

  • This pretty much looks like the best damn movie ever made!!!

  • if you don't like this movie, there is something seriously wrong with your taste buds...

  • I hear they are talking about making a remake of this movie.... I wish Rob Zombie would direct it and Sid Haig would play the farmer

  • ...yes and they also have a garden in which they actualy plant people and fatten them up for slaughter !!! It's pretty clever and outrageous.

I thought that Wolfman Jack did the voice over for this comercial ( thats what I seem to recal ) ?

  • Just got this film hahaha

  • A butcherized version of Hotel California right, lol?

  • i would beat your face in bro

  • this is such a classic. there's new indie low budget version called "severed inn"

  • Lol at 2:11

  • "It takes all kindsa critters to make Farmer Vincent's Fritters!" "Meat's meat and Man's gotta eat!" "Well Mother, I think this one's about ripe" ----This movie has more great classic quotes than Casablanca.

  • pig mask, chainsaw, manhunt revrence..??

  • this looks liek saw compleatly copied the pig mask idea.

  • I love this film!

  • looks like I've seen it all before...

  • they eat them o.o

  • Saw this movie as a child as found it very disturbing.

  • now this is a good horror movie!

seriously almost every horror movie that has been made between 2000 and 2009 is eigther a shitty remake of a good 70s or 80 horror movie or some bullcrap college project movie that could have been awesome if they had more budget

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE SOME AWESOME GORY HORROR MOVIES?

IT'S GOING TO SHIT RIGHT NOW!

  • Hostel? About the closest thing to this pile o'crap.

  • motel hell is NOT a pile of crap Hostel is

  • Didn't say Hostel was great either... It's a torture movie like Saw. All opinions really, not saying yours is right. But I find them crap, as a lot of people do. They draw fewer numbers than say... Ghost related horror movies typically.

  • Sorry I meant to say "All opinions really, not saying yours is right or wrong."

  • "my secret gardens' not so secret anymore," huh Ida?

  • yeah Ida, just like ol' ed gein. excellent film!

  • this looks kinda funny but creepy!!!

    harvesting people?! now thats scary!!!

ive never seen this but hope too!!

  • Love teh end the whole "I have been living a lie" comment as he dies, then he says " I used preservatives."

  • Not a stupid film at all...it's humorously self-referential like "Scream" was 18 years later, and also like "Scream" delivers some shocks...

"There's too manny people in the world, and not enough food. This solves both problems." How can you not love a line like that?

Also similar in spirit and intent to "Cabin Fever"...

  • Who farted?

  • my bad.

  • so they bury them to make sausages??? i dont get that shit

  • tenderizes the meat

  • some delta force guys used an idea in this movie to slow down a car a capture someone.

  • can anyone please tell me what this movie is about???? why do they bury people in the garden????

  • they grow people for make sausages and cut his vocal chords

so they make those strange noises. A very stupid film

  • They are a demented couple who treat human meat until it is tender enough and flavored enough to prepare for eating and mixing with pork.

  • I seen this movie when I was 10. I didn't understand it very well but when I seen it again years later, I found out why.

  • First time I watched this,I was really disturbed by what that GROSTESQUE fat lady and that man did 2 those people. The noises they were makin also disturbed me. I was 10,but now it really doesn't bother me. That pig face will always haunt me though. DON'T stay at Motel Hell or The Bates Motel.

  • The one in the Saw movies is even scarier!

  • that fat lady happens to be Ms. Ballbricker from Porky's so now you have two reasons to be disturbed by her!

  • Of these type of films this is one of the better ones. Good horror comedy!

  • rob zombie took a lot from this movie for house of 1,000 corpses.

  • I think "Corpses" borrowed more heavily from texas chainsaw. (Crazy homicidal family with normal looking and deformed wackos)

  • whata classic. i loved how they slit their victims throats so they wouldn't scream.

  • I loved the plant heads, but then again this movie defined the meaning of awful.

  • this wus the most goofy, stupied film i ever seen!

out of all the good movies from 1980 like, prom night, terror train.this has to be the biggest bomb ever!

  • fuck you

  • sad!

  • "It takes all kinds of critters to make farmer Vincent's fritters"

haha....that tag line on the box was what sold me.....

  • It IS a hell of a fun flic!!!

  • If you take it for what it is this is a very good horror movie. It is funny and not meant to be taken seriously. There are MANY great quotes from this movie which you will remember during the dismember.

  • Looks like this flick even includes a cameo by Wolf Man Jack!

  • Awesome Flick!

  • This was a great movie!!

  • Cheezy B Horror Film - Classic!

  • that pig is gonna fucking kill you!!!

  • lol.

  • 24.saw this when 13 on video with a mate. somehow, it always stuck with me. its a disturbing but glorious movie-i think john waters would approve. the score stands out for me,such good music. but i love the "wrongness" of motel hell. i pray ... for..the day..i .. check...out..

  • Weird movie but good.

  • SHIT, forgot all about, "Don't Look in the Basement," "Let's Scare Jessica to Death," "Shriek of the Mutilated" and "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" all also from the 70's (golden era of trash horror)!

  • LOL this guy at Applebees mention atleast 3/4 of tha movies you just did..and ur absolutely right tha 80'"slasher" films got severly lame but did have new life within Scream in tha 90's and Hostel(maybe).I do recall alot of alien horror movies as well and of course killer robots and clowns,etc..tha 80's did have its good time with horror though..btw is anybody else still freaked out by tha garden scene in this one?! just those noises and images ugh!

  • Yeah, the garden scene was really freaky!

  • Got me my first hand job while seeing this movie!

  • Your hand must have been pretty happy bro, lol.

  • i luv this movie xD

  • my friend told me this movie was a joke but i guess it was a horror movie in the 1980s rofl god i wanna see it.

  • 1980 to be exact, which really places it more with the 70's kind of horror film, than it does with the 80's, which became really moronic as the decade wore on. "Sisters" is another great one from the glorious 70's; also, "Eaten Alive."

  • "No one will be amitted after the geats check in.." do I find that slogan amusing? no but I love the trailer though.

  • love the Ivan and the Terribles van scene! Theres a band on youtube with same name...classic.

  • i like the mysterious atmosphere of this film it realy makes it creepy, the madness makes it a plus.

  • That dude Vincent is from a old CBS soap opera called "Capitol".I think his name is Rory Calhoun. I seen this movie about 5 years ago on AMC late at night.

They made a lot of horror movies in 1980!

  • Well tha 80's period made a lot of horror movies some memorable some forgettable!!

  • I actually like some of these old horror flicks from the early 80's this movie was creepy the first time I saw it.

  • To be honest Im inspired more scared of these 80's horror cinema then most of tha stuff that has come out in tha past 9-10 years..needless to say they dont make em like they used to

  • The 70's ones (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes, Invasion of the Blood Farmers, Sinful Dwarf, Phantasm, Dawn of the Dead, Toolbox Murders, etc. etc.) were even better yet.

  • Yeah, but the 70's were better. Another one I forgot to mention is "Blood Sucking Freaks."

  • The early 80's style horror/slasher flicks were an extension of the 70's. Starting with the sequal to "Friday the 13th" in 1982 or so, the genre began to get lame.

  • well peeps have identidfied wolfman jack and ms ballbricker so I mgiht as well point out that cliffy from cheers is in this too :P

  • reailer made the movie seem more scarier then it actually was lol

  • i first saw this at the hartford drive-in on the berlin turnpike in the early 80's. we would laugh our heads off, crazy crazy movie!

  • Quite possibly one of the most unnerving scenes ever-the garden of folks with their throats cut. Awful!

    Loved this movie!

  • Thanks for the spoiler alert. I was so excited to see this and you just ruined the movie for me ass hole!

  • That's not a spoiler, loser. What makes you think that ruins the movie? The garden scene is featured on the ONE SHEET and is on the DVD menu, as well as the cover of the disc. If you can't look at the artwork and see what happens then you're the asshole. And a stupid one at that.

    A stupid one at that.

  • on IO, the channel Monster's HD - best channel ever! crazy freakin movies =)

  • This movie was great fun.

  • I used to love watching this movie on TNT's MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs.

  • "It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent fritters".......terrific!

  • Did I see Wolfman Jack in there?

  • Yes! Wolfman Jack is in this!!

  • First became aware of this movie from Monstervision, didn't actually see it until years later. Cool flick.

  • I first saw this on Elvira's Movie Macabre in the early 80s. It's still good fun, nice to see it on cable every now and then.

  • Hey, that's Ms. Ballbricker from "Porky's"! LOL!!!

  • a very texas chainsaw massacre inspired film

  • I love this movie
