you activate the phone yourself through itunes, and no a CD does not come with itunes because you download it from the Apple site.

No don't listen to Dragon2sword, he doses't know what he's talking about:P You will HAVE to activate the 3G iphone in either a apple store or at&t store, nowhere else. So all you have to do is buy it and tell them what plan you want and they will do everything for you;)

download ziphone then put iphone in the dock and itunes come up close it and open up ziphone and click do it all and then put in your sim you want to use

It's one of the best, it's the only network in the UK the iPhone is available on, unless you hack it!

but anyways, i didn't know that the US and UK version of the iPhone were different.

on the back of UK iPhones, the capacity storage is labeled under the "iPhone" part, where in the US it's labeled under the serial number, etc.

i wonder if there are any other differences. hmmm. oh, and nice computer! ;D

Hey I bought mine in an 02 store in London, all you need to do is bring is a card to buy the phone (not cash, cash isn't accepted) and no matter where you buy it thats it! The rest is done at home over the internet through iTunes, so no contract to sign up to, till you get home.

No cash I'm afraid. It's so that they know if you haven't signed up to the contract with O2 because they have your card details, name, address etc. Basically it's to try and stop you unlocking the phone for another network.

Yeh you do, there are instructions on how to set up when you buy. It is probably best to download iTunes, upload all your music etc then when you connect your iPhone for the first time you can sign up, select your contract etc then it will automatically put your music on the phone. I definitely advise getting one, couldn't live without it now!!
