@gonefishingstudios This is not a japanese sword! Curved longswords were invented in han dynasty china (206 BCE – 220 CE) mainly as an anti calvary weapon. The sword is curved mainly to provide stability when slashing high speed targets. the japanese just happened to invent a sword that looks exactly the same 600 years later.
Nice background music to this one too. After so many videos, I somehow can see the unique-ness of the 'leg movement' in these techniques, and can coincide, even slightly, to some Wushu movements too.
Very interesting to see chinese techniques with japanese weapon. I actually prefer the chinese movements!!
