  • I´m playing LB and I´m just wondering what the difference is between those All Purpose Pads and those from the Air Flex series PROTECTION wise. I don´t really care for performance, air circulation, features and stuff. I just want to know how much better the Air Flex PROTECTS and if the XV Flex Pads protect enough for low-level college Football.

  • Can these shoulder pads be reconditioned the same way as other shoulder pads? Because at the end of the season my school sends shoulder pads to be reconditioned.

  • @joeha819 Absolutely.

  • @SchuttSports the pads my school gave me are big. 18-19 fit fine, weird thing is they come up high making my shoulder pads in a jersey look huge. these wont do that right? they stay snug on my shoulder

  • @SchuttSports they also are big and restrict running movemnt. my old shoulder pads are heavyand i heard these are small and light weight?

  • @479cdrp479 It doesn't sound like they're fit properly. Take a look at some of the videos on our YouTube channel here and make sure the shoulder pads are fit properly on you.

  • look nice

  • does not having epaulet pads make it not as safe as shoulders that DO have epaulets?

  • @Jerry11606 The non-epaulet design is a huge advantage for a couple of reasons: it makes the pad extremely low profile and it also removes a leverage point for your opponents (there's nothing for them to grab onto and leverage against you). In terms of protection, the non-epaulet design protects you just as much as a shoulder pad with epaulets.

  • @ davhasenz: You can attach the Schutt Varsity Back Plate to the XV Flex.

@ chsthewall: There's really nothing to prevent a college player from wearing the XV Flex but at that level you'll probably get better performance from an Armor Flex, O2 Flex or AiR Flex.

  • can college player use it too? or is only for high school?

  • I know the XV QB-WR arch has an extended backplate but do you offer any backplates that would fit the XV SKILL arch? Thanks

  • should i get a skill or a wr pad i play slot back?

  • I play slot back should i get a skill pad or a wr-qb pad?

  • is this the best wr shoulder pad?

  • @deseanjackson1010 In this price range YES! The AiR Flex is the best overall and that's because of the Brock Beaded Cushioning system. It's an ideal cushioning system that provides the best air circulation, comfort, and protection. If you can swing the extra amount it's a great pad, otherwise for the money the XV is unmatched and you'll be very happy with it.

  • davestallion08: Both pads are pretty light but the Armor Flex is lighter than the XV

  • are the armor flex shoulder pads lighter than the xv flex shoulder pads?

  • MrNathanholmes: The all purpose is your best bet. It provides extended coverage but it still will give you great range of motion.

  • What would be better for a tight end?! WR or all purpose?

  • 21ryan2121: Yes it would be great, you'll want to go with the QB-WR or the Skill model

  • Would this be a good pad for a Varsity Cornerback?

  • It's at a price point that is ideal for High School but it can certainly be use for higher levels of play. It's a great pad, you'll love it.

  • Hi. Is the XV Flex designed for high school players? Can it be used in higher levels of competition? Thanks a lot.
