@THEBIGBARRYBLACK calling it 'Stalyvegas' is a bit tongue-in-cheek for sure! I remember when it first started getting the neon signs on 'the strip' in the late 90s. Cheshire Life magazine once tried to call it 'Staly Venice' though - which is think is funnier still ;-)
As for it being a dump, depends where you go. Gorgeous rolling hills with open views, canalside walks, some fantastic houses, some great boutique style shops left. The Buffet Bar! But there is a grim side, true enough.
@alanjmellor im from duki so yeah nice hills but down near rififi is horrible and ruff. I went once and will never go again but i agree with the rest of what you say about the place:)
