50908, It is actually pushing 813hp/704lb-ft. Check Hennessey's website. The GTR800 is the only one that uses more than modified stock turbos. The GTR700 uses stock turbos with oversized compressor wheels (42mm -> 47mm)
its not pushing more than 615HP thats for sure. Because the Hennesy Corvette only had like 60 more HP. And the Corvette LS9 Engine has larger displacement than this. Theres No Replacement for Displacement, although the Skyline is 4WD which is beneficial from 0-60 but has a harder time doing 60 to Top Speed than RWD.
No, on Hennessey's website they have the actual horsepower listed at 813hp @ 6500 RPM and 704 lb-ft @ 4100 RPM. I'm not sure if that's at the wheels or the crank, but somehow I think that is crank horsepower. Either way it'll only loose about 60~80 hp getting to the wheels.
Honestly the fact that the GTR is so damn heavy yet outperforms so many other lighter and equally or even more powerful vehicles says a LOT!!!Dont worry nissan is bringing a performance version and its NOT the V spec. Then i believe all others will have to bow down.
IS it me or does it sound a bit laggy,,I wouldnt compromise the GTRs amazing response for big power,,750hp responsive at the wheels is more than enough
Yep, it would be pretty damn laggy... if it's a conventional tt setup then they have only 1.9L powering each of those big turbos. On a 2L SR a 3071 doesn't hit full boost until around 5k.
I've never been a Nissan fan for the most part. Or... not Nissan-crazy. Haven't been much GT-R crazy, either. That's some crazy performance! Sure love to see some test videos in the future. You know, drag racing, a few trips around MSR Houston, and stuff like that. Cool car!
As soon as that guy took me for a ride in his Nissan about 18 years ago I became a fan that day in his 300zxtt. Now FF to today I drive a street legal 9 second 300zxTT car. Always been a fan of Nissan. GTR IMHO is a pig of a car. Bigger than the maxima the car is just to big for my taste. Serious performance from it though i give it that.
sick...

I'm sure it's a great car with out of this world performance but it sure doesn't sound very impressive. Stock 350zs have a nicer sound.

my 1996 honda civic lx is pushing 108hp on stock wheels, i'm keeping it all original

Well it does 0-60mph in 2.9sc I havent seen a R35 do better than that yet.
Tunerboy8732 2 years ago
hmm......it makes 465bhp stock so with twin gt30r's i would say probably upwards of 700bhp

The GTR is badd!!!! but the fat bitch needs to loose some weight!! lol. They are pretty heavy for what people expect from them.

I'm just waiting for someone to jump in this thread and tell us how much "superior" the ZR1 is to the GTR.
Lol.

I don't know about the most powerful GTR ever...maybe R35 GTR.
Twin GT30s on that bady boy 3.8L should give some nice number though!
HPE, which Garrett GT30s are you using?
3071s for a quick spool or 3076s for some more top end? I'm interested to see some vids! Keep em coming.

I heard upwards of 1000hp. They already have the gtr 850 I belive. 0-60 2.8 sec. I bet this thing will hit 2.4 or less if as good as they say.

YEA I noticed that too! The GTR looks ENORMOUS in person ...like 20 feet long!

if you think the GT-R is big you likely haven't heard of the dodge challenger SRT8.
