this game was really hard lol. i only got to like the third level or something, and i was on easy with seven lives, and i was playing with a friend.

To say how and why I love this game wouldn't even fit in this single comment. Everything about is badass.

Listen to that fantastic first stage music. It really makes you feel like your facing Hell on Earth.

Konami's first 16-bit Contra was simply unforgettable.
